My Scheming Little Devil
Chapter 1219: Body Examination
Third Young Master Jun’s breathing grew even more intense, his solid chest rising and falling strongly, his breath heavy. His enchanting dark eyes were filled with an irresistible turbulence as he stared at her despairingly, gnashing his teeth in frustration.
He had spent so much effort to hide from her, to force her to leave, yet all was in vain in the end.
Indeed, in a battle of wits between men and women, men always lose.
Especially when this woman’s methods... were so despicable, employing her beauty to a devastating effect. It was unbearable; he was consumed by desire, a flame about to engulf him.
Third Young Master Jun sighed inwardly.
It seemed there was no other choice. Since things had come to this, he could only take one step at a time.
His voice was low and hoarse, an alluring moan escaping his lips as if he had given up all resistance.
Ye Lu heard his voice returning to its usual lazy and unrestrained tone, which immediately infuriated her beyond words, making her clench her teeth in rage.
She slapped his hand away.
"Do you think I’m here to wait on you?"
Third Young Master Jun’s eyes were innocently seductive as he looked at her: "Aren’t you here to verify? This is the most effective way. I’m sure I can’t resist."
"You... You ..."
Ye Lu was so furious that her face turned from red to purple.
"Who said I wanted to verify it like that? How hard can it be to expose you, you bastard? There isn’t a inch of you that I haven’t seen."
She roughly tore open his shirt and revealed his shoulder.
Her eyes shook for a moment. Indeed, there was still a gunshot wound there, from when he was in danger with Gu Yan and had shot himself—it hadn’t fully healed. That scar, she knew all too well.
And his body, she knew every muscle fiber all too well.
It was him.
Joy erupted in her heart, and she was so excited that her heart nearly burst. Her eyes moistened, and tears started to fall.
She knew that he couldn’t die so easily, that he truly hadn’t died.
He wasn’t dead; he was still alive.
The warm tears fell drop by drop onto Third Young Master Jun’s chest, scalding his heart and making it tremble, as the coldness in his eyes gradually melted away, replaced with endless tenderness.
Looking at her as she sobbed with her head bowed, his heart clenched tightly, and he reached out to gently stroke her head.
"Lu’er, I suppose I couldn’t hide it from you after all."
Yet the result was a slap in his face from Ye Lu, which he did not dare dodge and simply took the full force of her hateful blow.
"How could you deceive me like this?" Ye Lu’s anger surged, mixed with a profound sense of injustice and sorrow, as tears rolled down and blurred her vision. Her voice choked with emotion, "I really thought you were dead. I thought you were really dead!"
She remembered the agony and despair when she saw that bloody clothing; the gut-wrenching grief was unforgettable, that heart-shattering feeling as if plunging into an abyss.
How could he be so cruel? He was alive, right beside her, but he lied to her about being dead.
She loathed him.
Her eyes reddened as tears fell. She clenched her fists and pounded on his chest, sobbing uncontrollably.
"You bastard, you son of a bitch, I hate you!"
Third Young Master Jun’s face turned slightly pale as her powerful punches hurt him, but he did not stop her, letting her vent out all the rage and resentment in her heart.
"I’m sorry, Lu’er," he apologized softly.
"Is a simple sorry enough? You’ve made it so hard for me." Ye Lu sobbed, heartbroken, "I thought... I really thought I was left alone. You cold-hearted man, how could you do this to me? How could you deceive me and make me suffer so much?"
