My Life As The First S-Class Guide - Chapter 158: THE VILLAINESS MAKER
"WONHEE-SSI, itâs been a while."
Hmm? đđđŠâŻđžđŠđđđđ·âŻđ.đđđ
Of course, Wonhee recognized Kim Minchulâ Lee Seorinâs fiancĂ©.
[But why is he pretending to be close to me?]
Unfortunately, the man approached her while she was at Raonâ the high-end restaurant situated on the 93rd floor of the Sarang-hee Hotel known for its fusion of Korean and European cuisine.
[You might think that the affluent guests here wouldnât care about me, but I can tell that theyâre watching my every move.]
She wasnât worried because Ahyeon was there to protect her.
[Grandpa just excused himself to use the restroom for a moment.]
Hence, she reminded herself to act accordingly.
Especially since there were prying eyes around them.
Wonhee gave Kim Minchul her polite, business smile. "Itâs been a while, Minchul-ssi."
"You donât need to be so formal with me, Wonhee-ssi."
The man had the audacity to sit on the chair that her grandfather vacated a moment ago.
She reserved a table for three.
Wonhee and Ahyeon already occupied the two chairs.
Wasnât it obvious that they were waiting for another person?
"Iâm like an oppa to you, am I not?"
Pfft.
Wonhee smiled, remembering the times she would pay for Lee Seorin and Kim Minchulâs dinner every time Lee Seorin would invite her to join them.
[Minchul-ssi would often tell me heâd pay me back, but he never did.]
"I didnât know you were back in Korea, Minchul-ssi," Wonhee said politely, and then she went straight to the point. "I hope you know Seodam-ssi and I have already broken up. And I already decided to cut off my relationship with his family as well."
"Wonhee-ssi, I alreay called off my engagement with Seorin."
So what?
Minchul let out a sigh when Wonhee didnât react. "Seorin wasnât really pregnant with my child. Well, she was. But she had a miscarriage."
"..."
"Wonhee-ssi, you already know that from the start, donât you?"
Of course.
[I was the one who paid for Seorin-ssiâs hospital bill when she had a miscarriage, after all.]
"Actually, even when I was in China for my business trip, I had people keeping an eye on Seorin. That was how I found out," Minchul said even though Wonhee kept quiet. "But Seorin thought it was you who told me that she had a miscarriage. She was so angry with you because she thought you betrayed her after you promised that you would keep her secret safe."
Wonhee didnât remember her that way.
[Seorin-ssi begged me to keep it a secret, and I said I would if she promised to confess to her fiancé before their wedding.]
Wonhee then minded her own business.
[I didnât do it out of loyalty.]
Having said that, Wonhee would admit that she felt bad for Lee Seorin since she lost a child.
Hence, she kept quiet even though she knew that it was unfair to Kim Minchul.
In fact, she erased that information from her memory and acted like Lee Seorin was still pregnant so that the people around her wouldnât question her about Lee Seorinâs pregnancy.
But she was still being dragged into Lee Seorinâs business even now.
[Is this my bad karma because I chose to be an âaccompliceâ?]
"Why are you telling me this, Minchul-ssi?" Wonhee asked indifferently. She was being careful with her words in case the man was recording their conversation. "Your problem with Seorin-ssi has nothing to do with me."
Minchul then smiled triumphantly. "Isnât it fraud?"
"Excuse me?"
"Seorin tried to trick me into marrying her by pretending to be pregnant, and Wonhee-ssi helped her with her lies. Your fans will be sad if they find out about it, right?"
"Are you threatening me now?"
"Iâd like to open my restaurant here at your hotel, Wonhee-ssi," Minchul said, smiling like a fox now. "But your hotel keeps on ignoring me and the business proposal I sent. Can you help me, Wonhee-ssi?"
Ahyeon looked like he was about to stand and remove Kim Minchul from Wonheeâs sight, but Wonhee stopped him.
She was having fun, after all.
[So, that was the reason why he approached me so boldly.]
"My mother is the CEO of Sowoon Group. Our company owns chains of restaurants in Korea that serve monster meat. Weâre not as big as the Nom Nom Restaurant yet, but weâre getting there," Minchul bragged. "Working with us wonât hurt you, Wonhee-ssi."
"Are you done talking?"
"What?"
Wonhee took out her phone from her handbag, and then called Seon Chang-ho. "Brother-in-law, can you talk right now?"
<"Yes, Hee-ya. I just got home from work. Is something the matter?">
"The son of Sowoon Group is threatening to expose me as a âfraud.â Heâs accusing me of helping Lee Seorin-ssi trick him into marrying her."
<"Your ex-boyfriendâs sister is still causing you problems, huh?">
"Can you take care of this matter for me, Brother-in-law?"
<"Of course, Hee-ya. Sowoon Group, isnât it? My fatherâs company is in the same industry, so it wonât be a problem.">
Her brother-in-lawâs family owned the SC Foods.
Compared to that giant conglomerate, the Sowoon Group was nothing but a small business that the chaebol company could easily crush.
[And thatâs exactly why I called my brother-in-law instead of Semi Unnie.]
"Thank you in advance, Brother-in-law."
<"Youâre welcome, Hee-ya. Can I report this to your sister?">
"Yes, Brother-in-law."
After politely saying goodbye to Chang-ho, Wonhee ended the call.
She then turned to Minchul who suddenly went pale.
"What are you trying to do here, Wonhee-ssi?" Minchul asked angrily. "Do you really want to do this? Youâre abusing your power as a chaebol. If I tell the reporters about thisâ"
"Go ahead."
"What?"
"Do your worst," Wonhee said casually. "I wonder what the son of a small company can do against the Daesung Groupâs youngest daughter?"1
The current chairman of Daesung Group was Semiâs mother.
[Auntie is my fatherâs ex-wife, but she treats me as her youngest daughter.]
"I knew you were a fake," Minchul said, scoffing at Wonhee. "At the end of the day, youâre no different from those chaebols who abuse their powerâ"
"Youâre in my seat, young man."
Oh.
Wonhee smiled when Grandpa Suk-yong finally returned.
And her grandfather even put a hand on Minchulâs shoulder.
[No wonder the arrogant man is shaking in fear.]
"Young man, why are you still here?" Grandpa Suk-yong asked coldly. "Are you waiting for me to escort you out?"
Minchul immediately stood up, bowed, and immediately ran out of the restaurant.
"Kids these days donât have guts," Grandpa Suk-yong said while shaking his head, and then he finally sat across from Wonhee. "Hee-ya, should I take care of that young man?"
"Brother-in-law is already on it, Grandpa," Wonhee said, smiling bitterly. "He threatened me, but I think abusing my power was too much of a retaliation."
"Not at all, Wony Noona," Ahyeon protested while shaking his head. "That bad guy had it coming."
Her grandfather nodded in agreement.
[I donât want to make them worry about me.]
Hence, she changed the topic.
"Ahyeonnie, after our dinner, tell the general manager that I want to talk," she said while reaching for the menu. "I want Kim Minchul banned here."
"I understand, Wony Noona. Anything else?"
"Call the agency, too," Wonhee said while checking the menu. "To be precise, the PR team."
She might also need to ask her older siblings to check the newspapers and gossip portals.
[After all, I need to make sure that there wonât be an article about my encounter with Kim Minchul.]
***
[OH, sheâs already asleep.]
Yejun smiled while watching Wonhee sleep.
Fortunately, the <Sleeping Salon> wasnât activated yet.
[Or else the talking orange would have nagged me again for watching Wonhee sleep.]
"Yejun-ah?"
"Yeah?" Yejun answered quietly, kneeling on the floor while holding Wonheeâs hand. "Iâll just take a quick shower and join you in bed."
Much to his pleasant surprise, Wonhee held his hand and stopped him from leaving.
"Whatâs wrong, Wonhee-ya?"
"I knew that Lee Seorin had a miscarriage," Wonhee said in a quiet voice. "It was an early pregnancy loss. I think she was only one month pregnant when it happened."
[Lee Seorin? Ah. Lee Seodamâs older sister.]
Haaah.
It was Lee Seodam who broke up with Wonhee, but his family members kept on bothering Wonhee.
"She begged me to keep quiet, so I made her promise to confess to her fiancé before their wedding. I did that because I was hoping Kim Minchul would call off the engagement once he found out that Lee Seorin was no longer pregnant."
"You didnât want them to get married?"
"I donât know why, but I just had a feeling that the two shouldnât end up married because of their toxic relationship," Wonhee confessed. "That thought made me feel guilty because their relationship was none of my business. So, as if to atone for those careless thoughts, I opened my wallet and helped them organize their wedding."
"My old Wonhee was really a push-over, huh?"
"Be quiet."
"Yes, maâam."
"I got my karma today," Wonhee said in a sad voice. "Kim Minchul tried to blackmail me, saying that I was a fraud for helping Lee Seorin trick him into marrying her."
Yejunâs jaw clenched. "Kim Minchul, right?"
"My family is already taking care of the problem, so calm down."
"Okay. But why do you sound sad when your family is already retaliating for you?"
"Because my revenge was over the top. Iâm a bad person. I used my conglomerate familyâs power to bully a small company ownerâs son."
Pfft.
Yejun couldnât laugh because he was afraid Wonhee might get offended.
Fortunately, his Status Window popped up, so he got distracted.

The talking orange had lost it.
But it was fun.
"Wonhee-ya?"
"Yes, Yejun-ah?"
"You did well," Yejun said, kissing the back of Wonheeâs hand. "Wonhee-ya, if you didnât stand up for yourself while that douchebag was threatening you, then you would have been a big pushover and a bigger loser."
"Yah."
"You know Iâm right."
"But you could have said it nicely."
"Wonhee-ya, I like you," Yejun said, grinning mischievously. "But, sometimes, I have to be reaaally blunt with you to the point of being rude because thatâs the only way youâd listen. Feel free to be brutally honest with me if you have to, so we can call it quits."
"Okay," Wonhee said, nodding. "I understand, Yejunnie."
"Now youâre just being mean!"
