My Community Transmigrated Again
Chapter 185 - 166: There’s Still Someone Stronger Than Me (2-in-1)
Building 6, Unit 1, Apartment 301 of the Gated Community.
Cao Biansheng sat on the living room sofa, surrounded by a circle of old roommates and classmates he used to be close with.
"Brother Cao, we really missed you! Going out on hunts feels so empty without you."
"Get outta here, you’re full of it. Don’t tell me you guys can’t even eat without me around," Cao Biansheng cursed with a laugh.
"Hey, Old Cao, how’d you end up leaving, anyway? Someone said you got caught by Old Luo peeping on a girl showering. They said you begged him on your knees not to tell anyone, and then he kicked you out."
"What kind of fucking bullshit is that?!" Cao Biansheng shot upright, unable to stop himself from cursing. "Who’s spreading those sleazy rumors about me?"
You can break my bones and spill my blood, but you can’t tarnish my good name.
"Hahaha, Qi Xiang just made it up on the spot," another guy said, pointing at the one who had just spoken.
"Fuck, you little shit, you’ve got a death wish, don’t you." Cao Biansheng stood up and put Qi Xiang in a headlock. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Before long, Qi Xiang was begging for mercy.
Cao Biansheng let go, and Qi Xiang rubbed his arm. "Damn, you’re way too strong. Anyway, Old Cao, how are things over at the Qin Alliance? If it’s not working out, you should come back. The brothers kind of miss you."
Cao Biansheng smiled and said, "It’s great. Don’t miss me too much—if you really miss me, you guys can come join me."
"I’m gonna tell Old Luo you’re trying to poach his people," Qi Xiang said with contempt.
"Go ahead. Old Luo might even want you to," Cao Biansheng said with a sly grin. After joining the Qin Alliance, he had seen many Advanced Buildings that he’d never encountered back at the Home in the teaching building.
He gave a mysterious smile. "All I can say is, there are some things I can’t talk about. But if you come be my teammates, you definitely won’t regret it. Those who know, know. And for those who don’t, it’s useless for me to say more."
Hearing Cao Biansheng’s words immediately piqued everyone else’s curiosity.
They all knew Old Cao’s personality. Though he liked to brag a little sometimes, he was generally reliable. They had no idea what he could have seen.
"We’ll see. We’ve been with our classmates for a long time; it’d feel weird coming over to your place," one of the guys said.
Qi Xiang added, "Besides, there are a lot of girls over at the teaching building. I hear your place is nothing but a sausage fest."
Cao Biansheng rolled his eyes. "What do you need women for? The reason you guys aren’t as strong as me is because you’re not focused enough! You need to be like me—become a pure, focused powerhouse."
The others looked at him with pity. The guy had apparently been single since birth. It wasn’t that no girls had ever shown interest in him, but whenever they did, he would just shrink back and avoid them.
That’s just how it is for people who’ve been single their whole lives.
Suddenly, the sounds of an angry argument erupted from outside the window. It wasn’t far—it was coming from downstairs.
"Sounds like they’re fighting downstairs again," Qi Xiang said. "Brother Cao, aren’t you going to do something? It sounds like they’re from your Qin Alliance."
"What?" Cao Biansheng’s brow slowly furrowed.
...
Outside Apartment 101 in Building 6, a large crowd had gathered by the lawn and greenery.
There were men and women, old and young.
Wei Zhaohua stood protectively in front of a patch of soil, saying angrily, "I brought all this soil by the entrance back from the last world, bucket by bucket! This isn’t the Gated Community’s soil. If you want some, you can dig up the dirt over there, but you can’t touch this!"
Beside Wei Zhaohua stood three men, the four of them forming a circle to protect it.
And across from them, an even larger circle had surrounded them.
"This is the Gated Community’s public property! What do you mean you dug it up? None of us saw that!" someone from the other side shouted.
"Make way, make way."
The crowd parted as a group of people walked in, led by a man with a buzz cut who was about five-foot-seven, with dark skin and a powerful build.
"Brother Biao."
"Brother Biao."
Many in the crowd recognized him. It was He Biao, the former captain of the Alliance Association’s Hunting Team One, now transferred to Team Three.
Although his team’s ranking had dropped due to a poor performance during the last Giant Hyena incident, his reputation within the Alliance Association was still considerable. This was because he knew how to "make things happen"—he was always showing his face and had a lot of friends.
"What’s going on?" He Biao asked as he walked in, looking directly at the person who was arguing with Wei Zhaohua.
That person replied, "Brother Biao, didn’t the chairman tell us to plant more stuff? We were just getting ready to dig up some of the Gated Community’s soil to take back, but this person stopped us and even pushed one of our guys down."
Wei Zhaohua grew frantic. "I didn’t push anyone."
"Alright, I understand the situation now." He Biao raised a hand and turned to Wei Zhaohua. "I’ll give your Qin Alliance some face. We’ll drop the matter of you pushing someone. As for this soil, we’re taking two-thirds. You can have what’s left."
Wei Zhaohua said anxiously, "But I’m the one who dug up this soil!"
He Biao frowned. ’I’ve already made a concession,’ he thought. ’Why is this person still making a fuss?’
He glanced back over his shoulder, and a young man with slightly curly hair, thick eyebrows, and large eyes strode out from behind him.
"I suggest you be a little more sensible. Back down now and you can still save some face. Otherwise, you’ll lose everything—both face and substance—and it’ll be your Qin Alliance that’s disgraced," the young man said confidently.
Some of the university students in the crowd muttered to each other, "This guy’s so pretentious." "Yeah, just like that Cao Biansheng guy."
"Oh? And why wouldn’t it be your Alliance Association that’s disgraced?" Cao Biansheng strode out from behind them.
"I’ve heard of you," the curly-haired man said, looking at Cao Biansheng without a trace of fear in his eyes.
Ever since he obtained a Human Enhancement Card during the settlement, his strength had increased immensely, and his confidence was through the roof. He had always exercised regularly and was in better physical shape than the average person; now, it was like giving wings to a tiger.
He prided himself on the fact that even if he wasn’t a Divine Bravery of Feather, he wasn’t much weaker than a professional strongman.
