My Celestial Ascension
Chapter 952: Rose’s Golden Aura
"Everyone!! Fall back!!" Emperor Rhex roared at the allied forces, his expression serious as lightning rained down from the sky.
"Stay as far away as possible from the lightning strikes... don’t get hit by it!!"
His voice echoed throughout the entire battlefield, forcing the allied forces to retreat several meters back to a safer distance.
However, despite their best efforts, a few were struck by lightning, instantly reduced to ashes as their existence was erased in an instant.
It happened so quickly that the victims didn’t even have a chance to scream before their bodies turned to ash, horrifying everyone who witnessed it.
"T-This is..." Emperor Rhex opened his mouth, then closed it; he couldn’t utter a single word as the sight sent a chill down his spine.
King Evander, Queen Lilith, and King Vargan wore the same expressions, all horrified by the terrifying power of the lightning raining down from the sky.
It took only a split second to turn a person into ashes—the victim couldn’t even feel or comprehend what had happened before they perished.
"N-No one should die in such a manner... this is simply too cruel..." Queen Lilith muttered in a daze, her expression pale, her eyes filled with horror.
King Vargan looked around as if searching for answers and muttered, "Just what kind of lightning is this?? To possess such power... who is responsible for this??"
Meanwhile, atop the Great Wall, Long Yuyan gazed at the sky with a surprised expression, her silky smooth hair dancing with the wind.
"Even though that wicked monster isn’t a cultivator... his strength has surpassed mortal limits and reached the level of a Spirit Master..." she muttered softly, barely audible amidst the chaos.
"The world is full of mysteries indeed... it never fails to surprise us..."
Angela, who stood not far from Long Yuyan, had a worried look on her face as she watched the lightning strike the ground.
’I hope Lily is fine... those lightning strikes are far from normal...’ Angela thought, her concern evident on her face.
Despite knowing her granddaughter was strong and powerful, as a grandmother, she couldn’t suppress the worry in her heart.
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
For an entire hour, the lightning continued to strike the battlefield, especially targeting Lily, attempting to eliminate her completely.
Dust and smoke covered the battlefield, and the allied forces could no longer see Lily’s figure through the thick haze.
"Is she still alright? The lightning has been striking her for an hour now... if she survives, it would be a miracle..." Lilith muttered in a low voice, as the tension in the air grew heavier with each passing moment.
"It’s impossible for someone to survive such relentless attacks... not from power of this magnitude..." King Vargan added in a deep voice, his gaze fixed on the massive cloud of dust and smoke.
’Well, it would be impossible for us...’ King Evander thought, narrowing his eyes slightly. ’However, it’s completely different for them. Our logic doesn’t apply to them.’
’And since no one else is reacting and everyone seems relaxed about the situation, she is definitely fine.’ he concluded after observing the expressions of Anna Grace and the others.
Anna Grace and the others continued to massacre the undead, not a single one moving to assist Lily, as if they were fully aware that she was completely unharmed.
They acted as though the lightning that had been striking the battlefield relentlessly for over an hour was harmless, as if it couldn’t affect them at all.
This shocked King Evander and the others as well. Their eyes widened at the sight as Anna Grace and the others continued to destroy the undead left and right, reducing their numbers to a few hundred thousand.
"Damn it, this is too much... we’ve killed hundreds of thousands of them, and yet more keep coming!" Nerith muttered, gritting her teeth in frustration while continuing to fight.
"Indeed... there is no end to this," Isolde responded, clearly exhausted after using too much of her blood.
"Keep fighting—we must hold on until every single one of them is destroyed."
"Damn it... you’re right, but I can barely keep going. I’ve used too much blood and need time to recover." Isolde replied, her face pale as her movements slowed under exhaustion.
"You two get some rest and let us handle this—we’re more than enough to deal with them." Rose arrived and immediately began slaughtering the undead left and right.
Her attacks were relentless and fierce, taking down a massive number of undead with each strike, while simultaneously protecting Isolde and Nerith from incoming threats.
Nerith and Isolde could finally catch their breath, their exhaustion clearly visible on their faces.
"Thanks, Sister Rose. We’ll leave things here to you." Nerith said with a relieved expression before immediately sitting down on the ground.
They could no longer remain standing; it felt as if they would fall asleep the moment they lay down. Their hearts pounded rapidly, and steam rose from their bodies.
"Thankfully, we have our sisters to protect us. Otherwise, we might have been in an unimaginable situation by now." Isolde said while gasping for air, her gaze fixed on the dark sky above.
Nerith nodded in agreement. "Indeed. This war is far greater than we anticipated. Without their help, we would have no hope of winning."
"Hope? What are you even talking about?" Isolde sneered. "Without them, we would have perished long ago. The undead would have already destroyed our lands and people."
"You two should start meditating and recover your energy. That way, you’ll feel refreshed, as if you were never exhausted at all."
Suddenly, Rose’s voice reached them, urging them not to waste time and to recover their stamina and energy, as more undead continued to arrive.
’We can even do that?’ Both Nerith and Isolde were shocked to realize they could recover their energy through meditation.
"Cultivation is truly wonderful..." Isolde murmured softly as she prepared to meditate.
"Indeed." Nerith nodded and sat in a lotus position before closing her eyes.
While continuing to fight the undead, Rose glanced toward Nerith and Isolde and quickly pulled out a talisman from her spatial ring.
’This should keep them safe and help them concentrate... and I can focus entirely on the enemy.’ she thought before tossing the talisman toward them.
With a simple hand gesture, she activated the talisman, forming a protective array around Nerith and Isolde as they meditated.
"Good. Now I can go all out without worrying about their safety." she muttered as her eyes began to glow with a golden light.
The air around her started to heat up and expand, creating powerful gusts of wind that swept across the battlefield, drawing countless eyes toward her.
The tall spear in her hand trembled with excitement as Rose enveloped it in a radiant golden aura, causing the undead to instinctively step back.
"What is happening?! Why do the undead seem to be afraid of her?!?!" someone from the allied forces shouted in disbelief.
"What?! This is impossible! How could this even be possible?!?!"
"Wait! Look at the aura around her and that spear... it’s so bright and intense, I can even feel the heat from up here."
The allied forces were stunned to see the undead stepping back as if they were afraid of Rose; the golden aura surrounding her made them retreat, as though they instinctively sensed danger.
Meanwhile, Rose didn’t waste a single moment and launched her attacks at the undead without giving them any chance to react.
In her eyes, these undead were nothing more than piles of bones waiting to be crushed.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The entire battlefield trembled as Rose unleashed her powerful attacks, killing thousands of undead with every strike.
At the same time, Lily continued to be bombarded by lightning strikes, yet the lightning was too weak to cause her any real harm.
"Well, I’m getting bored now since everyone else is having fun. Should I just bring that dead lizard down to the ground?" she pondered, her gaze fixed on the massive undead dragon in the sky.
"Whatever, I’ll just drag that lizard down myself. As for the Undead King, I’ll leave him to Mom." she muttered softly before kicking off the ground and soaring into the sky at astonishing speed.
Bang! Bang!
Powerful shockwaves rippled across the battlefield as Lily shot into the sky, heading straight toward the massive undead dragon and the Undead King riding it.
Looking at the dark clouds covering the sky, Lily gripped her sword firmly with one hand and swung it.
Slash! In an instant, the dark clouds were split apart by her blade, creating a massive opening that revealed the undead dragon to everyone below.
"There you are." Lily’s grin widened as her eyes locked onto the Undead King.
"Hmm...?" The Undead King turned its head toward Lily, shocked by the sudden appearance that seemed impossible to him.
Before the Undead King could even react, Lily grabbed the undead dragon by its tail and slammed it toward the ground.
The force was so immense that the Undead King was thrown off the dragon’s back, hurtling toward the ground along with it.
Boom! Boom! A violent quake shook the battlefield as both the undead dragon and the Undead King crashed onto the ground.
