My Beasts Grind Proficiency For Me
Chapter 276 - 162: Sea Bandit
Celestial Clothing Workshop. Although the shop primarily sold Vestment Robes for women, it was never short on male customers who lingered, unwilling to leave. They all came for a glimpse of Qu Qiao’s unparalleled beauty.
Qu Qiao sat cross-legged in a Quiet Chamber, carefully lighting a stick of Celestial Silver Incense to refine the Beads on her wrist.
She chanted her true name, Tukun Silu, watching as the curling smoke from the Celestial Silver Incense was absorbed by the Beads. These beads housed the Evil Ghosts and Divine Beings she had subjugated in the Primordial Storage Realm, which now served her as Dharma Protectors.
Mages from the Primordial Storage Realm focused more on cultivating their Divine Souls than on Magical Power, using their souls to subjugate Evil Ghosts and Divine Beings for their own use. For them, commanding these entities was as natural as a Cultivator wielding their own Magical Power.
She had attained the status of a Venerable in the Primordial Storage Realm precisely because she had managed to subjugate a Divine Being of the Celestial Wheel Realm.
In the Primordial Storage Realm, Divine Beings were naturally divided into different tiers.
The lowest Tier of Divine Beings was known as the Spirit Communication Realm. Divine Beings of this Realm were incredibly weak; aside from one or two innate instances of Magic they might grasp, their only real ability was the Spirit Communication Skill. In the Celestial Treasure Realm, they were born and destroyed with ease.
To an unenlightened mortal, however, a Divine Being of this Tier was still a cataclysmic disaster.
The next Tier up was the Soul Capturing Realm. Divine Beings of this Realm could easily capture and devour a mortal’s Divine Soul, unlike those of the Spirit Communication Realm, which could only frighten mortals and feed on the Essence Qi they leaked in their terror.
The Tier Three Divine Beings were known as the Nether Realm and could create their own patch of the Netherworld, dragging all sorts of spirits into it.
The Celestial Wheel Realm was the Fourth Tier of Divine Beings. A Divine Being of this Realm could elevate their Netherworld into the heavens, transforming it into a celestial wheel that manifested behind their head. When the Netherworld became a Divine Domain, it was akin to creating a small world. They could draw believers into this domain to pray and worship day and night, allowing the Divine Being to absorb their Spiritual Essence.
The Fifth Realm was the Divine Master Realm. A Divine Being of this Realm would command numerous other Divine Beings, their domain spanning entire nations. Billions of mortals and Mages were nothing more than sustenance for their advancement.
The Celestial Wheel Divine Being that Qu Qiao had subjugated was named Miao Tian.
To subjugate this god, the Tukun Clan had lost a total of one hundred and thirty-six Mages, and the cost in resources had been immeasurable. But it had all been worth it. With Miao Tian as their Household God, the Tukun Clan became the most prominent of the Great Divine Witch Nobles within the Divine Kingdom ruled by the White Temple.
Suddenly, Qu Qiao raised her head, having faintly sensed something.
’That Yang Jing has finally come out!’
She ground her teeth at the thought.
As a Venerable from the Primordial Storage Realm, she had been forced to pose as an ordinary Female Cultivator, enduring the frivolous remarks of those insects day and night. She had tolerated them for two long years, just waiting for the day Yang Jing would leave the Yu Kingdom and lose the protection of Canxuan True Monarch.
Qu Qiao truly hadn’t expected a young, accomplished genius like Yang Jing to be so capable of enduring solitude. He had remained secluded for two full years without once stepping out.
Qu Qiao only had a vague inkling of Yang Jing’s whereabouts through her Spiritual Sense.
However, she was not the least bit flustered. She put away the burnt-out stick of Celestial Silver Incense and gracefully exited the Marketplace. Only after she was beyond the range of Canxuan True Monarch’s Divine Sense did she pinch one of the beads on her Mala.
The bead swelled in the wind, transforming into a Cyan Lion.
The Cyan Lion had a majestic form, its body like Cyan Jade, and its mane was coiled into a series of fleshy topknots. It kept its head bowed low, breathing cautiously so as not to disturb the noble personage before it.
Qu Qiao stepped onto the Cyan Lion’s head, walked along its spine, and settled down on its back.
"Find Yang Jing’s scent."
"As the Venerable commands."
This Cyan Lion was a Divine Being from the Primordial Storage Realm, born from a fierce gale. It had reached the Nether Realm, making it comparable to a Golden Core Cultivator from the Nine Heavens World.
Having been born from a fierce wind, it was naturally sensitive to all manner of scents. It easily picked out Yang Jing’s scent from among the countless others. The Cyan Lion let out a low roar, and in the next instant, it transformed into a gentle breeze, whisking Qu Qiao away as it vanished from sight.
The Cyan Lion followed the scent without a moment’s pause, only stopping and rematerializing when it reached the coastline.
Over the ocean, the Spiritual Qi was a chaotic mess, and the near-constant sea breeze had completely scattered Yang Jing’s faint scent.
Qu Qiao gritted her teeth in fury as sparks and small Fire Dragons burst from her body. The Cyan Lion’s Cyan Jade-like fur was covered in scorch marks, but it didn’t dare to make a sound.
A fishing boat on the water had caught a massive sea fish and was towing it toward a Seaport on the ocean.
The massive fish was far too large to fit into a Storage Bag or the ship’s hold. It had to be taken to the Seaport and sold to one of the Great Trading Houses, as their merchant ships had holds fitted with ice-based Restrictions that could preserve the fish long-term.
"Let’s go. To the ship!"
The Cyan Lion rode a gust of wind, landing with a WHOOSH on the deck of the boat.
The Independent Cultivators on the boat were in the midst of celebrating their huge catch when they were horrified by the sudden appearance of a Cyan Lion and a beautiful woman on their deck.
They had dared to take out a loan for a boat and venture out to sea to hunt Demon Fish, so they were by no means cowardly. But this beautiful woman was clearly a High-Tier Cultivator, and she was riding a Cyan Lion that one glance told you not to provoke. This was clearly a curse, not a blessing.
"Have any of you seen a Flying Boat recently?"
Qu Qiao’s expression was as cold as ice.
She asked, looking down on the group of lowly Independent Cultivators.
The Cyan Lion could smell Yang Jing’s scent mixed among those of several dozen Cultivators, along with the various scents of a Flying Boat. He was obviously traveling aboard one. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
The Independent Cultivators didn’t dare hide a thing.
"Immortal Lady, we saw a Flying Boat about an hour ago, heading east."
