Chapter 743: Settle The Old Score

Wherever the golden lines passed, the black veins sealed shut, causing the world to tremble.

Gui Ying watched as the world gradually returned to its original state, bit by bit, and asked, "Won’t the mortals die from these earthquakes?"

Hearing this, one of the Ancestors beside him chuckled. "Don’t worry, Child. The mortals won’t feel even the slightest tremor."

Reassured by his answer, Gui Ying nodded and continued watching in silence.

Half an hour later, the particles of God’s Bone and Heaven’s Spiritual Root had fully integrated with the small world, and no more black veins or black mists were left.

The Ancestor withdrew his hand and turned to Gui Ying with a faint smile.

"It’s done."

Gui Ying looked down at the small world.

At this moment, the small world had not only been fully restored, but was now enveloped in rich celestial energy.

Seeing this, surprise flickered across Gui Ying’s eyes.

Noticing this, the Ancestor explained calmly, "With God’s Bone and Heaven’s Spiritual Root protecting this world, it will soon recover its ancient state. The mortals will once again be able to cultivate toward immortality."

At these words, Gui Ying turned to him.

Seeing the hope in his eyes, the Ancestor added, "Yes. The two of them may one day return to the Celestial Realm. However, whether they can return or not will depend on their own fate."

Hearing this, Gui Ying clasped his hands and bowed sincerely to the Ancestor for the first time.

"Thank you, Ancestor."

The Ancestor was stunned for a second, then chuckled and waved his hand.

In the next moment, the scenery shifted again.

When Gui Ying straightened his body, he found himself back in the golden palace’s entrance.

The Ancestor turned toward the main hall and said, "You may return now, Child."

Just before entering, he paused on his tracks and added, "If you have time, remember to visit us."

With that, he walked inside, followed by the other Ancestors.

Watching their retreating figures, Gui Ying smiled and replied, "Alright. After this young master deals with the Tian Clan’s remnants, this young master will come to visit you again."

Leaving those words behind, he turned into a streak of golden light and vanished into the horizon.

Inside the main hall, one of the Ancestors asked, "Ancestor, why not deal with the Tian Clan directly?"

The Ancestor took a sip of spiritual tea and replied with a faint smile, "It is his fate and his responsibility. We may guide and protect him, but we cannot interfere with his choices."

Hearing this, the Ancestors exchanged glances before resuming their quiet conversation over tea. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Meanwhile, after leaving the Golden Palace, Gui Ying went searching for the Tian Clan’s Ancestor.

He searched everywhere around the Six Realms for days before finally locating the Tian Clan’s members, who were hiding in plain sight.

Hovering in the air, Gui Ying looked down at the tents scattered across the grassland below. Seeing the once arrogant Tian Clan now living like nomads, he didn’t quite know how to describe what he felt at this moment.

Just as Gui Ying was considering how to deal with them, a panicked voice suddenly rang out from below.

"It’s Gui Ying! Run! That living Yan Wang has found us!" a young man shouted as he pointed at Gui Ying with a trembling finger.

Hearing this, Gui Ying frowned, clearly displeased. Touching his face, he pouted inwardly.

’Hmph! How dare he call this young master Yan Wang? Is he blind? Has he ever seen a handsome Yan Wang like this young master?’

Feeling offended, Gui Ying shifted his gaze toward the young man who had shouted.

Then he noticed something. Not just that young man, but all the Tian Clan members were staring at him in terror.

Gui Ying’s expression turned complicated at this sight.

’Am I really that scary?’

Below, the Tian Clan trembled in fear as they stared at the confused Gui Ying.

Snapping out of her shock, a young woman quietly slipped away, heading toward the largest tent while praying Gui Ying hadn’t noticed her.

Moments later, she rushed inside the tent and fell to her knees before the heavily injured Ancestor.

"An–Ancestor, the Gui Clan’s Young Master is here!" she reported, her voice shaking.

At her words, the Ancestor opened his eyes. Memories of his last battle with Gui Ying flashed through his mind, and his jaw tightened.

Clutching his aching chest, he suppressed the blood rising in his throat. After a brief moment of silence, he said hoarsely, "Tell the others to leave. This Lord will buy you some time."

Hearing this, the young woman froze. A second later, tears streamed down her face as she shook her head desperately.

"Ancestor, we can’t leave you facing the Gui Clan’s young master alone. What will we do without you? You must come with us."

For the first time since awakening from his long slumber, the Ancestor’s expression softened.

Letting out a quiet sigh, he said gently, "Child, Gui Ying has come to settle a blood debt. This all began with this Lord, so it should end with this Lord."

With a wave of his hand, numerous Qiankun Pouches, spiritual wood boxes, and jade bottles appeared before the young woman.

"These are my belongings. Take them. They may help the clan survive in the future."

Looking at the Ancestor’s calm face, the young woman clenched her jaw, unable to speak.

Seeing her hesitation and reluctance, the Ancestor’s expression hardened. He coldly ordered, "Take them, and leave at once."

Startled by his heavy aura, the young woman trembled. After a brief moment of unwillingness, she kowtowed deeply.

"This disciple will not fail the Ancestor’s trust."

With that, the young woman gathered everything into her spatial ring. Casting one last look at the Ancestor’s pale face, she clenched her fists and left decisively.

The moment she stepped out of the tent, the Ancestor coughed up a mouthful of blood.

"Cough!"

Panting heavily, he wiped the blood from his lips with the back of his hand.
