Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!
Chapter 907: ATM
Seraphina Vaughn finished listening, and rather than remaining calm, she stood up angrily and said to Julian Bishop, "You like to put on this righteous act and expect everyone else to be like you? The thing I can’t stand the most is your hypocritical face!"
Julian Bishop raised his eyebrows slightly in surprise, finally understanding where Seraphina Vaughn’s initial dislike for him came from.
He just couldn’t figure out how the misunderstanding of him being "righteous" came about. Was it just because he targeted her a bit while playing games that night, and she’s held a grudge ever since?
After scolding him, Seraphina Vaughn grabbed her bag and walked away. Julian Bishop followed suit, noticing her phone left at the table, he called out to her, "Your phone."
Originally striding quickly towards the door, Seraphina Vaughn reluctantly turned back and snatched her phone from Julian Bishop’s hand, stuffed it back into her bag, and turned to leave.
Julian Bishop followed with the bags, glancing at the sky outside the restaurant window, then at Seraphina Vaughn’s slightly thin clothes, and gently reminded her, "Didn’t we just buy a few jackets? Want to put one on?"
Seraphina Vaughn initially wanted to pretend she didn’t hear, but upon reaching the restaurant entrance and shivering from the night breeze outside, she realized it was genuinely cold.
If not for being considerate of her baby bump, Seraphina Vaughn would likely have just gritted her teeth and endured it.
She turned her head to give Julian Bishop an annoyed look and said in a princessy tone, "So why are you just standing there? Get the clothes out!"
Julian Bishop looked at her indulgently, glanced down at the pile of bags in his hands, pulled out the ones with clothes, and asked, "Which one do you want to wear?"
Seraphina Vaughn peeked in, reached into a bag, and pulled out a light purple casual blazer, putting it on.
As she adjusted her clothes, Julian Bishop asked, "Continue wandering around the streets or head back to the hotel?"
Seraphina Vaughn had completely treated Julian Bishop as her accompanying servant and instructed, "Don’t want to continue, call a car."
"I’m worried you might get car sick right after eating, should we find a place to sit for a while before heading back?"
Seraphina Vaughn buttoned her coat, frowned as she looked around, and let out a burp.
Julian Bishop’s suggestion did remind her that having just eaten she did feel a bit uncomfortable in her stomach already, and getting in a car would probably make her throw up.
"Then let’s walk around some more, see if there’s anything else we need to buy, especially since it’s rare to have an ATM with me today." She deliberately said this, originally wanting to see Julian Bishop show a slightly displeased look.
Unexpectedly, Julian Bishop replied, "You could choose to always have such an ATM."
Seraphina Vaughn rolled her eyes, crossed her arms, and walked towards another department store across the street.
"Wait a minute."
Seraphina Vaughn impatiently stopped to look at Julian Bishop, listening to his explanation, "I’ll call a car first to send these things back to the hotel."
After hearing that, Seraphina Vaughn mocked, "Can’t handle this little bit of stuff? What’s the point of you then?"
Julian Bishop ignored her sarcasm, raised his hand to hail a taxi, put the things in the car, and exchanged a few words with the driver.
After the driver left, he answered Seraphina Vaughn’s earlier question, "Why carry them if there’s a better way to handle it?"
"If you don’t want to carry them, don’t. Find whatever excuse you want, I think you should just take a taxi and go back yourself, don’t trouble yourself."
"If I leave, who will pay for you?"
"Then you can leave the card behind."
Julian Bishop actually took out his wallet and handed over the card, to which Seraphina Vaughn rolled her eyes and turned her head to walk towards the department store.
