Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!
Chapter 851: Playing the Saint
Audrey Sutton played with Shane Warner’s hand, teasingly saying, "Men get more charming as they age. When you get older, you might have pretty young girls chasing after you, then you’ll definitely find me annoying."
Shane Warner turned his hand to hold hers, sitting at the edge of the bed, gently teasing, "I find you annoying now, too. You’re silly and foolish, always thinking of strange things."
Audrey Sutton frowned, "Men all like young and pretty girls. You think I’m overthinking now, but when I’m actually old and have a young girl flaunting herself in front of you, let’s see how you choose."
Shane Warner lowered his head and kissed Audrey Sutton’s forehead, resting against her brow, "I don’t know whether to say it’s you who lack confidence in me or in yourself. Aren’t you the young and pretty girl yourself? No matter how many years pass, in my eyes, you’ll always be a young girl."
"Sounds good now." Audrey Sutton pushed his forehead away, pulled up the quilt and lay sideways, saying muffled, "Let’s sleep."
Shane Warner laughed, lying closely behind her, snuggling into the quilt, and wrapped Audrey Sutton in his arms.
His hand gently rested on her lower abdomen, whispering in her ear, "Sleep peacefully. I’ll always be by your side."
Audrey Sutton thought that words like "forever" sounded empty, but hearing Shane Warner say them at this moment made her feel satisfied.
She had heard too many stories of loving couples breaking up.
Perhaps it’s because she’s so afraid of losing, she starts worrying before things even happen.
But at least, for now, they’re still in love.
At night, this small county looked particularly quiet.
There were hardly any pedestrians on the streets, but the signs of bars and hotels flashed in red and green.
In a hidden underground bar, Faye Xavier used his eloquent mouth and decent alcohol tolerance to get a bunch of big sisters drunk.
Though he avoided certain contacts, he couldn’t escape some groping during the process.
After getting this group of big sisters drunk, Faye Xavier himself was also rather dizzy from drinking.
Ms. Reid didn’t care how Faye Xavier served the guests, she only cared if they were happy and tipped well.
So for Faye Xavier’s first day’s takings, she was quite satisfied.
Seeing that Faye Xavier really couldn’t muster any energy, she didn’t make him continue working for the night.
Morgan Quinn was relatively lucky, hosting a rich lady who was heartbroken in love.
She looked young and pretty, had a good figure, and he only accompanied her, listening to her cry about her misfortune.
Eventually, the rich lady got herself drunk, and Morgan Quinn stayed with her to avoid being sent out by Ms. Reid to host another guest, thinking of ways to escape while she was passed out.
Both his and Faye Xavier’s phones had been confiscated, making contact impossible, and assuming Faye Xavier was still in the previous room, Morgan Quinn quietly stepped out, intending to find him for discussion.
But before reaching the room, he was caught red-handed by one of Ms. Reid’s men.
"You’re the newbie, huh? Where do you think you’re going?"
Morgan Quinn chuckled awkwardly, finding a reason to explain, "My guest drank too much, I was just going to..."
Before he could finish, the man interrupted him, "Drunk, huh? Leave it to us, tidy up yourself, Ms. Reid will assign you another guest."
Morgan Quinn: "..."
Without giving Morgan Quinn a chance to negotiate, the man informed Ms. Reid of the situation over his intercom.
"Ms. Reid told you to go to room 302, just turn right to the second door ahead."
Morgan Quinn fake smiled and nodded, thinking he should have stayed inside and not come out.
Being assigned another might not be as easy-going as the rich lady.
"Stop dawdling, go quickly, or you’ll be in trouble if Ms. Reid comes after you herself."
The utterly unwilling Morgan Quinn had no choice but to walk towards room 302.
He gently pushed open the private room door, where the light was dim, and saw Ms. Reid presenting a lineup of male models for the guests to choose from.
Once Ms. Reid noticed Morgan Quinn was there, she immediately pulled him from behind the door and flatteringly said to the woman on the sofa, "Young miss, how about him? He’s our popular top model, tall, handsome, and currently a trendy CEO type."
The woman lazily looked up at Morgan Quinn, allowing him to finally see her face.
Her face was covered in smoky makeup, her hair tied in small braids, earrings large enough to be bracelets hung from her ears, holding a man’s cigarette in her mouth, making her look like a wayward girl.
This image, although different from the woman he’d previously encountered, immediately reminded Morgan Quinn of the embarrassing over-the-shoulder throw.
Erin Yates fails to recognize Morgan Quinn as the guy who flirted with her in the bar because she never paid attention to his looks then.
She only identified him as one of the people from the photo Shane Warner gave her during the day.
Erin Yates pretended to seriously size him up, casually took the cigarette from her mouth, and tapped the ash in the ashtray on the table.
Then, with the hand holding the cigarette, she pointed at Morgan Quinn and said, "I’ll take him."
Ms. Reid joyfully asked, "Would you like to pick a few more?"
Erin Yates impatiently frowned, "No need, everyone else can leave."
Ms. Reid immediately gestured to the group of male models beside her, who promptly turned to leave.
Ms. Reid smilingly said, "Well, miss, our establishment requires upfront payment."
Erin Yates, sounding wealthy, asked, "How much?"
Ms. Reid: "He’s our top model, hourly fees are a thousand, an overnight stay costs ten thousand, twenty thousand for a full day."
Erin Yates was utterly confused inside; with this kind of service, such high prices, how could there still be good business?
Are these women burning money because they have too much?
Despite her doubts, she generously pulled out a bank card, exhaling smoke along with her words: "Overnight."
Ms. Reid smiled and handed her the POS machine, completing the transaction successfully.
"I won’t disturb you two any longer. If you need anything, just ring the bell."
Erin Yates waved her hand, and with payment secured, Ms. Reid quickly left.
After closing the door, Morgan Quinn stepped up to Erin Yates, and angrily said, "Playing all high and mighty back then, and yet you show up in a place like this?"
Erin Yates looked puzzled, "You know me? Did your big brother tell you?"
Morgan Quinn approached, ready to settle the score, "Think I wouldn’t recognize you with a change of clothes? The debt for throwing me on the ground in the bar that day, I’m all set to clear it now, seeing you willingly walked in here."
