Mr.Nobody: I am inside a webcomic?!
Chapter 43: Tutorial Chamber
Darkness swallowed Nobody whole for a few seconds.
Then....
BOOOOM!!
Mr.Nobody crashed hard onto the metallic floor. "GAH—!" His body rolled twice before stopping flat on his back. "...Ow..." He slowly pushed himself upward while rubbing the back of his head. Unlike his armored fights before, this time he had entered exactly as he was with just his normal office attire.Tie slightly loose. And his usual bowl-cut hair was completely ruined from the landing.
Nobody looked down at himself. "...Really? I got sent into another dimension wearing office clothes? I will be safe, right?" He dusted off his sleeves in disbelief. "At least give me protagonist drip before throwing me into danger."
The chamber around him glowed softly blue.
He finally looked up properly and froze slightly. The place was massive.
A gigantic circular chamber stretched endlessly outward. The floor beneath him looked like dark polished metal mixed with glass, with streams of glowing blue energy flowing underneath it like veins.
Huge transparent blue barriers surrounded the entire space. "Hmm...this really reminds me of a levelling up anime..."
Energy walls extended so high upward that they disappeared into darkness.
Floating holographic symbols drifted across the air occasionally before fading again.
The place looked like a futuristic arena built by beings way beyond humanity.
Nobody slowly turned around. "...Woah....Okay this place actually looks cool as hell."
The system window appeared instantly beside him.

[System Notice]
User has arrived in:
[Tutorial Space] 〜( ̄▽ ̄)
Current Condition:
Minor fall damage sustained.
Remaining Preparation Time:
00:08:42
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody looked at the timer. "...Preparation time?"
"Wait..."
"The tutorial hasn’t even started yet?"
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[System Response]
Correct. Just saying it’s gonna start soon. (* ̄3 ̄)╭
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
He adjusted his tie awkwardly. "Man...I really came here dressed like a salaryman." He continued walking slowly through the chamber. His shoes echoed lightly against the floor.
Only the faint hum of blue energy surrounds the walls.
Nobody crossed his arms. "...I wonder what the tutorial even is."
Then....
A voice suddenly echoed behind him. "Couldn’t resist the face reward, huh...?"
Nobody froze instantly. "...!"
He turned sharply and saw him.
A humanoid-sized white rabbit lounged casually on a dark luxurious couch near the center of the chamber. One leg crossed over the other.
His crimson eyes gleamed with amusement beneath the soft blue glow of the chamber. A blood-red symbol rested on the center of his forehead. He wore a sleek black combat suit lined with glowing blue circuitry-like patterns flowing across his body. One shoulder carried dark metallic armor engraved with luminous symbols. A tall black top hat rested between his long ears, adding an eerie elegance to his already intimidating figure.
Nobody stared blankly for a few seconds. "...What the hell..."
The rabbit smirked wider. "...That reaction again."
Nobody pointed immediately. "WHY DO YOU LOOK LIKE THE FARMING VERSION OF THE BUNNY WHO SAYS {WHAT’S UP DUCK?} ?!"
The rabbit blinked once. "...Interesting first question." The rabbit laughed softly. "Heh. At least you’re entertaining."
Nobody slowly lowered his hand. "...Mr. Rabbit. ...Who are you exactly? Wait...are you the system admin."
"Nope. You’re really over-exaggerating my identity, I am not even close to his level." The rabbit smoothly stood up from the couch. Far taller than Blossom Bunny. He placed one hand inside his pocket casually. "My name...is Ren Lexion."
Ren smirked faintly,"I am the Tutorial Coach assigned to train you within this space."
Nobody blinked. "...Coach? Wait. You mean TRAIN train?"
Ren stared silently for two seconds. "...Yes."
Nobody looked horrified. "...Oh no."
Ren slowly walked toward him. Each footstep echoed sharply.
Nobody instinctively stepped backward once. His body just reacted automatically.
Ren noticed instantly,"Heh...Good. Your instincts aren’t completely dead."
Nobody awkwardly laughed. "Haha...That’s not comforting."
Ren stopped directly in front of him. "Tell me something, bowlcut."
Nobody frowned. "...Did you just call me bowlcut?"
"Yes."
"...Continue." Nobody replied while being scared like an innocent kitten.
Ren tilted his head slightly. "Bowlcut bowlcut.. ever heard of not falling for greed before you read? Did you really think entering a dimensional tutorial because of greed would be safe?"
Nobody awkwardly looked away. "...In my defense...The reward sounded a little personal."
Ren burst into laughter. "HAHAHAHA! Oh this is going to be entertaining."
Nobody crossed his arms. "...Are you enjoying bullying a poor faceless NPC."
Ren ignored the complaint completely. He slowly circled around Nobody once. Inspecting him carefully.
"Physically unimpressive."
"Combat ability unstable."
"Emotionally reactive."
"Terrible fashion for combat scenarios."
Nobody immediately looked down at his office clothes. "HEY! I DIDN’T CHOOSE THE OUTFIT!"
Ren smirked slightly. "Yet you still entered."
"...Fair point." Nobody replied.
Ren stopped walking. "But...You survived. A normal low-level user would’ve died during the bear encounter. Most would’ve mentally collapsed against Anderson Lee. But you kept standing."
Nobody scratched his cheek awkwardly. "...Mostly through panic and swearing."
"Results matter more than dignity."
"...That explains a lot about this system."
Ren’s smirk widened again. "Exactly. It does"
Nobody cautiously raised one finger. "...So what exactly happens in this tutorial?"
Ren smiled. "You survive."
Warning symbols appeared across the chamber.
The system window also pops out.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[Tutorial Phase Beginning Soon]
Combat Trial Initializing (ˉ▽ ̄~)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody immediately pointed at the system window. "WHY DOES EVERYTHING HERE SOUND LIKE A DEATH SENTENCE?!"
Ren casually walked back toward the couch. "Because this isn’t a game."
Nobody looked offended. "...Says the rabbit wearing a top hat."
Ren ignored him again.
The timer shifted downward rapidly.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Then.....
Far away inside the chamber....
Massive metallic gates slowly began opening.
KRRRRRRRMMMMM...
Darkness waited behind them.
Ren rested his chin against one hand lazily. "Oh, relax." A dangerous grin spread across his face. "...That’s only the warm-up."
The giant gates continued opening slowly.
The cold metallic sound echoed through the entire tutorial chamber.
Nobody stared carefully. "...Nope." He immediately pointed toward the gate. "I already hate that."
Ren sat casually on the couch, completely relaxed. "You complain a lot for someone who willingly entered."
Nobody looked at him with disbelief. "Willingly? YOU bribed me emotionally with a face reward!"
Ren smirked. "And yet here you are."
"...Damn....You got me there." Nobody slowly loosened his office tie further. "At least tell me one thing."
Ren lazily tilted his head. "What?"
"...Can I die here?" Nobody asked.
Ren’s smile remained. But his eyes became calmer but serious. "Yes."
Nobody froze slightly. "...Oh."
This wasn’t some weird system mini-game. This wasn’t a harmless event. This tutorial space was dangerous enough for death to be casually acknowledged.
Nobody swallowed quietly. "...Right."
Ren observed him silently for a moment. Then he said,"You’re scared?"
Nobody immediately answered. "Obviously!" He pointed aggressively at the giant gate. "I’m standing in another dimension wearing office clothes talking to a god damn humanoid size rabbit while death gates are opening!"
A pause.
"...I think fear is reasonable here." Ren stared for two seconds. Then suddenly laughed again. "HAHAHAHA! You really are interesting."
Nobody sighed deeply. "...Everyone keeps saying that before my life gets worse."
The system window appeared again.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[System Notification]
Mental Condition:
Elevated stress detected. (⊙o⊙)
Suggestion:
Remain calm. ~( ̄▽ ̄)~
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody grabbed the floating screen aggressively. "HOW?! How am I supposed to remain calm?!"
The system remained silent.
Ren casually spoke from the couch. "Your panic levels are acceptable."
Nobody slowly turned."...That somehow sounded more threatening than comforting."
Ren crossed one leg over the other. "Most users break mentally before combat even begins."
Nobody blinked. "...Seriously?"
"Yes." Ren pointed casually toward the dark gate. "The tutorial does not simply test strength."
"It tests instinct, decision-making, and fear response.
Also survival priority, adaptability, potential."
Nobody scratched his cheek slightly. "...Sounds annoying."
"It is." Ren leaned back comfortably. "That’s why most die."
Nobody stared blankly. "...Can you stop saying that sentence so casually?"
Ren ignored the complaint entirely. Instead, his crimson eyes examined Nobody more carefully. "You’ve already shown abnormal compatibility with the system."
Nobody frowned slightly. "Huh?"
"You adapt quickly. You accept impossible situations faster than normal humans. You continue functioning even after encountering higher-dimensional interference."
Ren’s smirk returned. "Do you know what most humans do after seeing reality distort?"
Nobody shrugged. "Cry?"
"Correct," Ren said.
"...Oh." Nobody nodded.
Ren stood up from the couch again. He walked toward Nobody slowly. "Your greatest advantage...is that your mind bends instead of breaks."
Nobody blinked once. "...That sounded cool."
"It wasn’t meant to." Ren stopped directly in front of him again. "But your flaws are equally obvious."
Nobody sighed. "Here we go again."
Ren said,"You hesitate emotionally. You rely too heavily on improvisation. You lack proper combat fundamentals. And your survival rate should statistically be zero."
Nobody stared silently. "...Man....You really know how to motivate people."
Ren smirked. "I’m not here to motivate you. I’m here to prepare you."
A low vibration suddenly spread through the chamber. The gates in the distance opened wider. Something growled deep inside the darkness.
The system window flashed urgently.

[Tutorial Trial Approaching]
Preparation Time Remaining:
00:01:39
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody looked horrified. "WAIT THAT’S TOO FAST!"
Ren casually tossed something toward him.
Nobody barely caught it. "...Huh?" He looked down. It was a pair of black gloves. Strange glowing blue lines ran across it. "...What’s this?"
"Equipment."
Nobody blinked. "You’re giving me gear?"
"For beginners, yes."
Nobody looked genuinely emotional for a second. "...That’s actually nice."
Ren immediately replied,"Don’t misunderstand. If you die too quickly, the higher authorities will scold me saying I can’t even handle a short heightened human ."
"...There it is." Nobody slowly wore the glove.
The moment it touched his hand blue energy spread briefly across his arm before stabilizing.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[System Notification]
Basic Combat Assistance Gear equipped.
Synchronization successful.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody opened and closed his hand slowly. "...Woah. This actually feels kinda cool."
Ren nodded once. "Your body will respond slightly faster while wearing it. Not enough to save you though."
"...You REALLY hate encouragement." Nobody said.
Ren smirked again. "Encouragement only increases the probability to drop your guard.
The chamber lights suddenly dimmed further. Red warning lights activated around the massive gates. A heavy sound echoed outward.
THOOM.
THOOM.
THOOM.
Like giant footsteps approaching slowly from within the darkness.
Nobody’s face slowly stiffened. "...Ren."
"Yes?"
"...Tell me honestly. What exactly is coming out of there?"
Ren’s crimson eyes glowed faintly. He smiled. "A lesson."
The footsteps suddenly stopped. Nobody held his breath unconsciously.
Then....
Two glowing eyes appeared inside the darkness beyond the gate. A huge monstrous appearance was watching him directly.
Nobody slowly pointed toward the gate without taking his eyes off it. "...You know..."
"...I suddenly miss the bear."
