"Kiddo, just say it’s a hookup instead of dressing it up so nicely. We’re all men here; don’t worry, nobody will laugh at you!" Callum Lancaster, a year older than Evander Lancaster, had a penchant for women. It was said that he once brought a woman home, which directly drove his wife away.

Evander Lancaster put his glass back on the table, lowered his eyes to glimpse the red liquid inside and smirked a little, before he could say anything, Willow Lancaster beside him, already unhappy, glared at Callum and said, "What nonsense are you spouting? Aren’t you afraid of setting a bad example for the younger ones with us girls still here? Mind your words!"

Willow Lancaster and Callum Lancaster are actually cousins; if Evander Lancaster didn’t step in, he wouldn’t be one to be scolded by his cousin. Callum Lancaster chuckled and said, "Okay, okay, sis, I won’t say anymore. My bad, I’ll punish myself with a drink!"

With that, he raised his glass, tilted his head back, and drained it in one go.

"Humph!" Willow Lancaster huffed in displeasure but when she turned to Evander Lancaster, her expression immediately softened. "Second brother, didn’t Aunt say you broke up with that woman? When did you get a new girlfriend?"

Evander Lancaster was still toying with the glass of red wine, turned his seductive phoenix eyes over, with his lips curved slightly, half-smilingly said, "Your second brother will be thirty-one after the New Year. Does not having a girlfriend mean I can’t sleep with women?"

Her smile froze, then she quickly chuckled and explained, "No, second brother, I was just curious, you know?"

Evander Lancaster carelessly tossed out a phrase, pushed the wine glass forward, didn’t finish the New Year’s meal, elegantly wiped the corners of his lips with a napkin, grabbed the cotton coat draped over the chair and stood up, "You guys take your time eating, I’m off to a date."

"Hey, Evander, how can you leave so suddenly?" Callum Lancaster reached out and raised his voice, "We haven’t finished our fun yet!"

Evander Lancaster didn’t even look back as he waved his hand, "Big bro, accompany second bro for me."

"That kid!" Callum Lancaster shook his head helplessly, "Choosing women over brothers."

"Callum, that’s not fair. You’ve always been surrounded by women, you’re a full man who doesn’t know a hungry man’s woes!" Brody Quest, Aurora Lancaster’s son, chimed in jokingly.

Willow Lancaster also got up, pretending she needed to use the bathroom and followed Evander Lancaster out.

Callum Lancaster picked up the bottle and poured himself another drink, touched his hair and sighed, "True, Evander has been single for so many years, it’s a fresh experience now he’s back in the game."

After Callum Lancaster spoke, all the Lancaster Family’s daughters-in-law at the table cast disdainful glances.

"Come on, brothers and sisters, Evander has entrusted the mantle to me, as the older brother, I’ll take it up for him..." Robert Lancaster raised his wine glass and stood up, at the head of the table, Violet Zimmerman saw her son and niece Willow Lancaster leave one after the other, frowned slightly, wanting to put down her chopsticks and chase after them, but was subtly stopped by Joseph Lancaster who nudged her foot under the table.

Violet put down the chopsticks in her hand, stood up smiling, "My body really isn’t what it used to be, just a little drink and I constantly feel like going to the loo. Big brother, third brother, brother-in-law, you guys chat away, I’ll be right back."

Joseph Lancaster followed her out, once out of the Lancaster Family’s banquet hall, the smile on his face disappeared, across the wrought iron fenced yard, he could see his niece Willow Lancaster and Evander Lancaster hugging together from afar.
