"What? What happened to her?!" Kael panicked seeing the doctor’s reaction. He had already feared the worst—that Sisi might’ve fainted due to his curse that accidentally made her tremble in fear.

The way his curse worked was to instill deep-rooted fear into one’s consciousness, and a prolonged effect might cause their body to weaken permanently.

If that was the case then... Kael would go to his son and ask for his help. After all, the Dawn Star had the ability to cancel out his father’s cursed power.

"My King, have you seen any change in the Queen these days?" the doctor asked. "Such as fatigue, morning sickness, an irregular period cycle for a human."

The doctor announced it lightly, but for Kael, that was like a voice from heaven. All this time, he had been working hard to impregnate his beloved just so they could have a fruit of their love, and also to stop her from leaving.

He thought that hope was long gone. But with her pregnancy now, surely, Sisi wouldn’t be able to leave him, right?

Kael was elated about this. He sat right next to his beloved and asked the doctor, "Then what should I do next? She’s still unconscious, you should do something to make her feel better!"
