Chapter 1129: A Knock
"So, there are five Human Bloodline levels, from lowest to highest, they are Low, High, Supreme, Perfect, and Primordial. The Low grade being the Bloodline every Human being possesses," Anthony began to speak, "the higher each Bloodline Grade, the greater the benefits and effects, for example, better talent and a longer life span, and even higher charm," he stated as he paused for a moment.
"I personally don’t know the method to increase the Bloodline Grades, but back at the Omni Peak Academy, my Bloodline evolved to the High Grade on its own, and I don’t know why," Anthony stated calmly.
Although Irene and the rest wanted to speak, they didn’t interrupt him; they waited for him to finish speaking, understanding that cutting him off now would only disrupt the flow of something clearly important.
"At this moment, all four of you have also awakened the Supreme Grade Bloodline," Anthony stated as he smiled; the moment they had come out of their cocoon during their evolution, he had sensed it with crystal clarity,
"Meaning, you now possess greater talent, an insane life span, and enhanced charm," he paused for a moment, then continued, "it also has some outrageous effects, like if a Human below the Supreme Grade is injured, you can just give them a few drops of your blood and they will be healed, and also, your children will possess the Supreme Grade Bloodline upon birth," he concluded.
The more Anthony spoke, the more eyes widened in shock at the revelation, each word sounding more unbelievable than the last, yet none of them could refute it.
"Now, the most outrageous effects, and the reason why I said your effects are useless on me, is this: anyone who possesses a lower Bloodline Grade isn’t capable of injuring you anymore; any attack they use is nullified, be it illusion, poison, or whatever," Anthony stated, "meaning High and Low Bloodline Grade holders are no different from cannon fodder to you all," he added in finality.
None of them spoke for a moment as they were too shocked at such an effect, their minds struggling to fully process the implications of what they had just heard.
"This couldn’t have gotten any crazier," Michael stated after a moment, his voice carrying a mixture of disbelief and reluctant acceptance.
"Wait, we are Supreme Grades, while you possess the High Grade Bloodline, our attacks should work on you," Mitchelle immediately spoke as she spotted what seemed to be an inconsistency, her brows knitting slightly as she analyzed the situation.
Anthony shook his head again as he spoke, "After another breakthrough, my Bloodline Grade increased, but to the Perfect Grade this time, skipping the Supreme Grade entirely," his tone remained calm, as though such a leap was merely a minor detail.
His words were, of course, a lie; he had only gotten his first Bloodline upgrade through his breakthrough, as for the jump to the Perfect Grade, it was the Unchained, the lazy Boundless, that gave him that as payment for rent after ??? stopped him from forcefully ascending Anthony.
But Anthony couldn’t exactly say that, nor did he feel the need to explain the intricacies behind it.
"You are getting more mysterious by the minute," Collins spoke, "no wonder you were so outrageously talented by every known standard," he added, his tone carrying both curiosity and admiration.
Anthony made no effort to correct that statement; his Bloodline had nothing to do with his talent, but there was no harm in letting them believe his talent came from his Bloodline Grade, especially since it simplified things.
Besides, Anthony was even surprised at the fact that they had awakened a higher form of Bloodline to begin with; he hadn’t expected it, as he had thought they would just gain the normal boost and nothing else, making this outcome far beyond his initial expectations.
But still, a win is a win, and he wasn’t complaining in the slightest.
Evelyn and the rest had to gain their own Bloodline through the system shop.
"So, how many people with higher Bloodline Grades do you know?" Michael asked, as he already had some suspicions forming in his mind.
Anthony stayed silent for a moment; he didn’t want to mention Klaus or his wife, or even Vega, as that was their family business and not his secret to tell, but at the end of the day, they were already here, his parents already had a Bloodline Grade on par with Amara’s, and there was no need to hide anything as it changed nothing regardless.
"A few," Anthony replied, his answer vague yet intentional.
"Who are these few?" Mitchelle asked suspiciously, her eyes narrowing slightly as she pressed for more information.
"Klaus, Amara, Vega, and Evelyn," Anthony replied, adding Evelyn to the mix, as when Irene returned and met with Evelyn, she would be able to sense the Bloodline coming from her, so Anthony simply mentioned her name in advance.
At the mention of Evelyn’s name, Irene’s eyes flickered for a moment as though she finally understood how someone could be that talented in Healing Magic, the pieces silently falling into place in her mind.
"What Grade does Klaus possess?" Michael asked, as he seriously wanted to know, his curiosity now fully piqued.
Anthony stayed silent for a moment, then spoke, "Klaus has the Primordial Grade," his words calm, yet carrying immense weight.
Michael was immediately rendered speechless; after a moment of silence, he spoke, "no wonder my attacks never worked on him," he fell into his thoughts as he spoke, recalling past encounters with newfound clarity.
"It’s not because of that, Dad, Klaus stands at the Galactic level, or higher, in terms of pure power and existence level; even if you unleashed everything you had, you still wouldn’t be able to pluck a strand of hair from his head," Anthony spoke as he shook his head, his tone matter-of-fact.
"You brat," Michael spoke as he moved to knock Anthony’s head, but Infinity simply stopped Michael’s hand. Anthony smiled as he stared at Michael, who simply sighed and retracted his hand, accepting the outcome without further protest.
"What Bloodline Grade do Amara, Vega, and Evelyn have?" Irene asked, more curious about her student than anything else.
"Evelyn and Vega possess the Perfect Grade, while Amara has the Supreme Grade," Anthony replied without missing a beat, his answer immediate and precise.
"Hmmm... for such an overpowered family, shouldn’t Amara possess at least a Perfect Grade Bloodline?" Collins asked, understanding how ridiculous Klaus and his family members were, his tone thoughtful.
"I don’t know their circumstances, Grandpa, I just never asked when I was told; after all, some details are personal and filled with secrets people aren’t willing to share," Anthony spoke as he shook his head, respecting that boundary.
Collins nodded his head as he understood where Anthony was coming from. If Klaus or Amara didn’t explain it to him at the time, then they simply didn’t want to go into detail, and that was something to be respected.
"Well, at least we don’t have to train to adjust to the boost in power we just received," Michael stated, as they had all possessed innate control over everything all at once, something that was both convenient and stress-free.
Everyone nodded at Michael’s words; after all, they had just come out from seclusion, and going back in would have been a hectic drag for them, something none of them were eager to repeat so soon.
"Let’s talk about the ascension," Mitchelle immediately followed up, as she was immensely interested in it, her eyes gleaming with anticipation as the conversation naturally shifted forward.
