Thanos!

Who the hell is that?!

Jason rolled his eyes helplessly.

Great. Another alien he'd never heard of. He had thought that after ruling Earth, life would become mundane, but it seemed the Marvel Universe was far more sprawling than he had imagined. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

"What does Thanos want with the Infinity Stones? Does gathering all six let you summon a dragon to grant a wish?"

Loki didn't get the Dragon Ball reference. In his memory, dragons weren't particularly formidable creatures—at best, they were flashy mounts.

"The Infinity Stones are the essence of the universe. Whoever collects all six becomes the master of the cosmos. With a simple snap of the fingers, one could destroy worlds—or save them."

Holy shit, that's insane!

Jason stood there, mouth agape. A single snap to make any wish come true? That beat a dragon any day; at least there was no incantation required and no once a year limit. Jason felt a surge of heat in his chest; he had found a new life goal.

"And Thanos? Does he want to save the world or destroy it?"

Loki shook his head. "I don't know. I don't truly know Thanos. I've only seen him from afar, and I am entirely ignorant of his ultimate plan."

Hearing this, Jason said. "Hmph. For a god, you really are a pathetic disgrace to your family."

Loki didn't even blush at the insult. Instead, he seized the opportunity. "However, I know many secrets of the universe. If you spare my life, I promise to tell you everything."

"Is that so? I don't trust you to be that honest." Jason gave a wicked grin, gripping the scepter and pointing it at Loki's chest. "You're a man of a thousand tricks; your words are half-truths at best. I'll feel much better controlling you with the Mind Stone."

Loki's face turned deathly pale. He was visibly trembling.

"See? You're still hiding something," Jason mocked, noting the shift in his expression.

Faced with the glowing scepter, Loki backed away and looked up at the sky with an anxious expression. Jason followed his gaze, but aside from the sea of stars, there was nothing.

"What? Expecting Daddy to come save you? If I'm not mistaken, Asgard's tool for cosmic travel—the Bifrost—is broken, isn't it?"

Loki's expression flickered with disbelief. The Bifrost incident was a secret of Asgard. How could this Earthling know about it?

"Heh, looks like I guessed right." Jason's smirk widened as he closed in with the scepter. "Stop struggling. No one is coming for you."

RUMBLE!

The words had barely left his mouth when a bolt of lightning tore through the pitch-black sky. Seconds later, a deafening thunderclap echoed.

A thunderstorm? Jason frowned.

Hearing the thunder, the corners of Loki's mouth twitched upward. He scrambled up from the ground, puffing out his chest. "The Bifrost is indeed damaged, but do not underestimate Odin. There is more than one way to send someone across the stars."

As Loki finished, a whistling sound cut through the air. A dark silhouette was hurtling toward them at extreme speed. Jason instantly condensed a massive energy sphere and hurled it.

BOOM!

The energy collided with the figure, resulting in a violent explosion. But as the smoke cleared, the shadow remained unscathed. In the light of the fading blast, Jason saw the face.

Thor, the God of Thunder!

"Trouble's here," Jason muttered.

"LOKI!" Thor roared, his voice booming. Without hesitation, he hurled Mjolnir straight at Jason.

The hammer carried the raw power of lightning and the blessing of Odin. Jason, being a mere mortal and unfamiliar with the weapon's weight, didn't dare block it. He performed a graceful dodge, narrowly avoiding the projectile.

CRASH!

The hammer smashed a massive crater into the spot where Jason had stood a second before. A moment later, Thor, clad in his Asgardian armor and crimson cape, touched down. He extended a thick arm, opened his palm, and Mjolnir flew back into his grip.

That move is pretty damn cool, Jason thought, his eyes gleaming.

The two stood about fifteen meters apart, sizing each other up. Thor's face was a mixture of rage and conflict. "Jason... It has been a long time."

Jason nodded. "It has. But you've got a hell of a way of saying hello—throwing a hammer at me. I guess that breakfast I bought you was a total waste."

Thor pointed a finger at Jason's nose, his voice filled with indignation. "Do not play games. You only fed me to get close to me. Jane has told me everything. You are a cancer on this planet, a murderer with blood on his hands!"

Jane? His girlfriend.

Jason smirked. "So the God of Thunder bases his judgment on pillow talk. I'm truly impressed. Who did you inherit that from? Your father, Odin?"

Thor choked on his words, unable to respond. He had indeed only heard of Jason's deeds through Jane, but in his mind, someone as beautiful and kind as Jane would never lie.

Thor wasn't here to debate morality. He pointed at Loki. "We can settle that later. I ask you: why did you attack Loki? He is my brother!"

Jason pointed at his unconscious comrades lying scattered around the field. "Since your brother arrived on Earth, he has directly or indirectly caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in just a few days—including my woman and my subordinates. You tell me why I attacked him!"

Thor's expression stiffened. He knew Loki had caused trouble, but he hadn't realized the death toll was so catastrophic.

"Actually... he's adopted."

Jason: "I don't care if he's adopted or Odin's bastard. He touched my people; he must be punished."

Thor shook his head solemnly. "Though Loki's crimes are great, he can only be punished by the All-Father, Odin."

Jason's face darkened with rage. "So my people just died for nothing? Are the lives of Earthlings not worth a damn to you?"

Thor: "..."

With a thought, Jason's body flared with energy. "If we can't talk it out, then we fight. If I win, Loki stays. If you lose, you both belong to me."

SHUA!

Jason teleported behind Thor. He held a gargantuan energy sphere in his hand, ready to slam it into Thor's face the moment he turned. But Thor was a veteran of a thousand wars; his combat instincts were leagues beyond Loki's. He didn't even look back; he simply swung Mjolnir in a wide arc behind him.

Jason gasped, arching his back backward. The lightning-charged hammer whistled past his face. If his reaction had been a millisecond slower, his skull would have been pulverized.

Thor got some moves.

With that single exchange, Jason gauged Thor's potential and kicked off the ground to create distance.

"RAAAAH!"

Before Jason could reset, Thor held Mjolnir high and let out a war cry. Instantly, a bolt of lightning dropped from the sky, striking Jason dead center before he could escape.

I won! Thor thought with a surge of triumph. He was confident; countless enemies had been disintegrated by that strike—many far more evil and powerful than Jason.

"The two of you really do have the same personality!"

Before the smile could form on Thor's face, Jason's voice drifted through the thick cloud of dust.
