Chapter 1041

The spikes from Vince’s metal dome were fired out with incredible force.

Greg and Raze were fast enough to dart away in time as the spikes burst forth and crashed into the ground.

No target was stabbed.

"..."

Seconds passed in tense silence as the dome didn’t move nor shake.

It remained there with Vince trapped in it.

Raze just took a step forward probably to check when the dome suddenly exploded outwardly with shrapnels flying in all directions.

Luckily, it didn’t meet the cohort fighting as they watched Vince slowly rising up with a pair of metal swords in his hands.

"For years, I had been weak. I could barely maintain a single metal sword for long. And now look at me," Vince smirked as he twirled the metal swords around in his hands.

"... I can create more constrcuts and fight better. Isn’t this fun and nice? What did you all gain by being loyal to Grey huh?"

"We gained freedom!" Scarlet roared as she rocketed forward... literally.

Swinging her hand from below and then thrusting it forward, a huge funnel of flames burst forth.

Vince calmly leaped to the side while bringing his sword down at the flames cutting it apart.

Greg zapped forward while firing a bolt of lightning at the boy.

Slamming his foot into the ground, the earth surged and soon enough, a small metal wall snapped in place as the lightning bolt crashed into its surface with a loud boom and a ring.

Raze slashed through the air with his hands shaped like claws and with it, fiery claw slashes fired towards Vince.

Unfazed.

The zodiac began blocking and deflecting the slashes as if he were a swordsman and not a mage.

Scarlet swooped in with a dozen fireballs roaring at Vince.

However, a dozen metal shields materialized around Vince and soon, the fireballs burst forth but unfortunately, they crashed into the shield barely shaking it at all.

Raze lifted his hand into the air and swung it down unleashing massive strikes of lightning that exploded towards Vince.

Knowing how strong these strikes were, the zodiac yanked his hand forward and the shields shifted in front of him blocking the lightning strikes while crumbling afterwards in a rain of shards.

Greg had already taken that opportunity to close the distance between them in a single second with his lightning sword racing forward with blazing speed.

Clang!

Vince parried the strike away. Metal surrounded his foot which he swung it forward with full speed.

Before it could land, a shimmering protective bubble snapped all around Greg as the foot crashed into the bubble with a dull thud.

Twisting his head around, Vince caught sight of Arthur a few metres away with his hands held out.

A searing heat was approaching him from the side.

Quickly bending his head down, he avoided a fiery punch from Raze.

Quickly switching, lightning crackled around the boy’s frame as his knee shot forward crashing into Vince’s face with immense force.

The Zodiac’s head was thrown backward as he almost stumbled and crashed to the ground.

Raze wasted no time in giving chase as a bolt of lightning fizzled around his hand, it was racing towards the Zodiac’s abdomen while he fell backward.

But then in a blur of speed, Vince stretched his hand behind him and yanked out a metal spear from the ground as if it had always been there.

With a sharp thrust, he sent the spear towards Raze’s abdomen instead.

The mage’s gaze sharpened almost instantly as he tried dodging but alas!

He couldn’t totally avoid the spear as it ripped through his side causing blood to spray out.

Raze clenched his jaws as he changed the shape of the bolt in his hand into a lightning club which he hammered downward.

It crashed into Vince with electrifying force that sent the boy crashing into the earth and causing a crater to yawn open.

"Ugh... that kinda hurt..." Z6 grunted in pain as he twitched, slowly rising up after being smashed by Lyra’s wind gale.

Blood trickled down his mouth as he rose to his feet looking at his enemies glaring at him furiously.

"... But for some reason, knowing that the attack came from a beauty like you, I don’t mind." He beamed intensely as he looked at the busty young woman.

"Okay. That’s enough." Max spat as he lifted his hand into the sky, his gaze hardened.

Z6 could hear the deep rumbling and knew what was coming next hence his smile widened.

His muscles coiled and tightened. Then like a spring unbound, he burst forward with thunderous speed that made it seem like he was a blur.

Within a heartbeat, he appeared before Max with a swift swipe of his claws towards the young adult’s chest.

With lightning crackling around the mage’s feet, he bolted away in time as the claw raked harmlessly through the air.

Dante swooped in immediately with a huge earthen club raised above his head which he swung down at the zodiac with all his might.

Blurring away, the club clobbered into the earth causing the terrain to buckle under the weight of the crash.

Leo whirled in with rapid velocity as he swung his sword from the side with a deep ki slash bursting forward.

Z6 tilted his head aside then swung his claw to meet the slash and in the process, the ki slash melted down instantly.

Lifting his leg in front of his body, he intercepted a low blow from Dante again.

Swinging his left claw forward, a huge claw slash burst forward.

Dante quickly bound backward while the earth surged upward and stood in place.

The claw slash struck the wall and immediately, part of it could be seen melting at an impressive rate.

Two hundred wind swords screamed forward with intensity yet Z6 looked at the attacks like it was nothing.

And then with such speed that even his afrimages wasn’t left behind, he weaved in between the swords that shattered against the ground.

With a push off the ground, his right claw shot towards Lyra like a viper heading to bite its victim off.

The attack was fast... incredibly so as Lyra could do nothing but look while wind was humming around her body.
