Chapter 1572: Chapter 1154: Celebration Time

Inside the dim tent, Ash slowly sat up on the bed. Even though no one could see him, he still covered his face with both hands, looking embarrassed and ashamed to the point of wanting to travel back a minute ago and beat up his mortifying past self.

What was I doing! How dare I! Is my brain really soaked stupid by some white murky liquid?

Although Ash knew he had become as promiscuous as a lover crawling out from a garbage can, he still felt a sense of pride in his moral baseline, which was that all his intimate actions were based on mutual feelings and he had never done anything inappropriate.

But what had he just done? Thinking Death Mad was lonely and kissed her as gratitude? It was absurd and rogue-like, so shameful. Death Mad is probably laughing at him for being embarrassing, thinking he’s the worst Ash ever!

Although the atmosphere was partly to blame, Ash was certain he wasn’t the kind of person who would take the initiative to flirt in the past. Suddenly realizing this, Ash was startled, as his behavior habits seemed to have unknowingly changed. What factor exactly was influencing his personality—

"Mmng." The Witch beside him let out a soft nasal hum and naturally draped her legs over Ash.

Looking at the four operators on the bed, Ash felt he might have found the culprit.

Of course, Death Mad didn’t tell it right; he mostly slept alone, and this kind of shared sleep was very occasional. It usually happened when the Sword Maiden had again been dominating the top progress for days and wouldn’t share any benefits with the Witches. To slightly alleviate the increasingly tense wealth gap within the team, Ash would suggest playing games together at night, and they would sleep directly when tired. However, recently, game nights were becoming more frequent, evolving from a once-a-week occurrence to three times a week.

Since everyone was still asleep, Ash planned to sleep a bit more to recover his spirit. Yet, when he glanced at Sonia sleeping on her side beside him, his attention was drawn involuntarily.

Ash lay back down slowly, propping his chin up to gaze at the Sword Maiden’s sleeping face, her eyebrows, her lips, her nose. It felt like he didn’t even need to sleep; just quietly watching her, his soul was healed.

Seemingly sensing his gaze, Sonia slowly opened her eyes, her ruby eyes blinking as she made eye contact with her lover.

Ash blinked back, asking with his eyes if he had woken her up. Sonia shook her head, slightly opened her arms, making a gesture asking for a hug.

To avoid disturbing others, Ash very slowly wrapped his arms around Sonia’s waist under the quilt. Sonia was only wearing a thin gauze nightgown, her voluptuous soft body pressing into Ash’s chest in two mounds, the breathtaking curves tightly following the contour of Ash’s form. Although Ash inevitably felt aroused, he mainly felt a heartfelt sense of peace.

After quietly embracing for a while, Sonia whispered in a soft, low voice: "Welcome back."

Ash was startled: "You knew?"

"You proposed playing games tonight all of a sudden, were distracted all night, and you even healed from a curse yesterday; everyone knew you were planning to enter Hell." Sonia laughed: "But no one mentioned it."

"I just didn’t want you worrying outside while I’m on an adventure in Hell." Ash explained, "It’s better if I succeed and come back to bring you good news directly."

"So how did it go tonight?"

"Not bad."

"Any danger?"

"None."

Sonia didn’t continue to ask because Ash leaned in and kissed her. Their lips met repeatedly, their tongues intertwined tenderly. As the temperature rose under the quilt, Ash suddenly remembered something and softly asked, "When I was in Hell, did you call out to me?"

"Huh?" Sonia looked puzzled: "No, I was sleeping the whole time. Why?"

"Nothing."

Feeling a bit confused, Ash had thought that when he was trapped in the Divine Domain, Sonia called out his name outside, spiritually linking with him, and pulling him free from the domain’s grasp. But now Sonia said she didn’t; so who had awoken him?

Could it be his strong survival instinct fabricating an auditory hallucination of Sonia?

While Ash was pondering, Sonia pinched his cheek, her usual gesture when dissatisfied with him.

"You must’ve encountered deadly danger in Hell."

"How did you know?"

"Because it’s only after dangerous experiences that your gaze upon me is filled completely with me, filled with light, as if I protected you."

"So my usual gaze doesn’t have any light?"

"It does, but only a quarter, no more." Sonia did not hide her jealousy: "Without facing life and death, you don’t even know who you like most. Once you’re stable, you revert, unwilling to let go of any. I think you, the chatterbox, are just too idle; you need to be on the edge every day, so you wouldn’t have energy to love others."

Sonia hummed in Ash’s embrace like a small piglet. Ash stroked her hair, kissed her forehead, eyes, cheeks, his fingers pressing gently to evoke emotions, gradually warming the Sword Maiden’s body.

The red-haired girl bit her lip lightly: "Just trying to please me..."

"Of course, I want to please you; your Sword Body Cage Wonder was incredibly useful." Ash softly laughed: "I still need your help, like appearing before me each time I come back from Hell—only seeing you confirms I’ve left Hell."

Sonia glanced at him, pouting slightly. Her charming and resentful expression was captivating, and her gentle gaze drew Ash’s heart more than the Divine Domain could.

"Good." She wrapped her arms around Ash’s neck, "I can’t go to Hell with you; take care of yourself."

Ash felt like his heart was about to melt like ice cream. He held the Sword Maiden tightly as if trying to blend her into his being, whispering in her ear, "There was indeed a bit of a mishap during this trip to Hell; I almost couldn’t come back. When I narrowly escaped, do you know what I was thinking?"

"Thinking of me?" Sonia blinked.

"A bit more specific." Ash said, "I wanted to book a hotel room, hang a ’Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door, and stay inside for a month, not stepping out once."

"Pervert."

Ash nodded in full agreement: "I think so too; this thought suddenly popped into my mind, probably stimulated by life and death, affecting my brain. I’m usually not like this."

"Excuses." Sonia hummed, a soft peachy hue spreading over her face. Boldly meeting Ash’s gaze, she bit her lip lightly and said, "But since you like it, we’ll tentatively make it part of the honeymoon... one phase of it."

With Sonia’s words, Ash felt like even facing the Divine Domain again wouldn’t drag him back in.

"Huh? Did I hear some couple sneaking around?"

The Witch’s voice quietly rose behind Ash as she sat up in bed, glancing at the two cuddling together with a cheerful smile.

"After maintaining the rules for two months, is it finally going to break again? Sword Maiden, are you starting a war?"

Weiser turned on the light, looking at Ash and Sonia expressionlessly, imposing and righteous, shaming the guilty couple.

"Why not change places, or wait till morning? Must you challenge limits right under everyone’s noses?" Vishi spread her hands, sighing helplessly, "As I said, you lovebirds are just..."

"By the rules, violators must face severe punishment." Diya drew out threads with both hands, her mouth lifting into a slightly expectant smile: "Ash, get out; it’s our girl’s internal punishment time, not suitable for you to watch."

Ash was familiar with this smile of the Witch; she always smiled like this when tormenting enemies.

The Sword Maiden recalled the punishments they had set up, blushing red and pale alternately, instinctively shrinking towards Ash’s arms.

"Wait!" Ash hurriedly protected Sonia, "This time is different; I just couldn’t help but celebrate with the Sword Maiden after returning from Hell! She’s innocent; blame me if you must!"

The Witches exchanged glances. Silver Lamp slowly said, "We could spare the Sword Maiden, but..."

"But what?" Ash sensed trouble, clinging to the Sword Maiden wanting to retreat to a corner, only to find his back met a soft soul body. Turning his head, he saw the maid blocking behind him.

Weiser pinned down Sonia, Vishi slipped her hands under Ash’s armpits, locking his arms, while Diya pressed on his thigh, leaning in with a mischievous smile, "Since you say it’s a celebration, let’s celebrate together then, no backing out."

"Now, it’s celebration time!"
