Love You Till the End
Chapter 1157 - 1166: Shi Mei vs. Shi Keke (5)
Shi Mei was already in a bad mood because of Shi Keke, and hearing the incessant honking from behind only made him more irritated.
He rolled up the car window, hung up on Shi Keke’s call, and then found a number to dial.
As soon as the call connected, he said coldly, "License plate DYH0399, handle it."
The other person responded with a "Yes," and Shi Mei hung up the phone, casually tossing it onto the passenger seat beside him, then closed his eyes to relax.
His car was parked not far from the traffic lights, and it just so happened that it was a green light. Because he was blocking the front, the cars behind him couldn’t move.
The green light lasted only thirty seconds, and because this was the peak morning rush hour, it quickly became congested, with more than a dozen cars lined up behind.
The driver of the car behind Shi Mei grew impatient and aggressively honked the horn for a long time. Seeing no intention to move from the car in front, he got out, intending to ask for an explanation.
The driver knocked on Shi Mei’s window, saying, "Buddy, you can’t be so unethical. This is a one-way street. Once cars enter, they can’t turn around or take another route. You’re parking like this as if you’re deliberately making trouble for everyone. Early in the morning, people driving out are either rushing to work or a business trip, and here you are wasting everyone’s time!"
Today, Shi Mei was driving a regular SUV, to be precise, Shi Keke’s prized possession, the one she fondly called "husband."
Because yesterday Shi Keke had a scratch on the car’s front while driving, leaving a lengthy mark. She’s always had high standards for herself and couldn’t tolerate any blemish on her beloved car. So, she asked Shi Mei to help out and take it to the auto repair shop for a touch-up.
Shi Mei originally didn’t plan to help with this favor. First, because he had no interest in going to an auto repair shop, and second, he felt that Shi Keke had been spoiled by him lately and kept pushing even minor matters onto him.
Yet, under Shi Keke’s persistent badgering and coaxing, he eventually relented, personally going to Shi Keke’s house to drive out her "husband."
Shi Keke’s car was priced at around 200,000 yuan, considered a mid-sized car, whereas the car behind was an Audi Q7, officially priced between 503,800 and 798,800 yuan.
Perhaps because of the significant price difference, the other driver’s attitude wasn’t exactly polite, after all, his Audi Q7 could buy three of Shi Keke’s cars.
However, Shi Mei’s reaction was excessively indifferent. He opened his eyes, gave the other driver a cold glance, then leisurely adjusted his shirt collar, and... closed his eyes again, conserving his energy.
The driver was furious: "Sir, I’m warning you now, you’d better move your car immediately, or I’ll call the Road Administration Bureau and have them tow your car away!"
But he didn’t get any response from Shi Mei, making him feel somewhat disheartened. Clearly, he was in the right, but now it seemed like he was the one being unreasonable.
This time, Shi Mei didn’t even bother to open his eyes.
He lay back with his eyes closed, lazily resting his hands under his head, looking completely at ease, not at all bothered by the people or things around him.
Sunlight streamed through the car window, reflecting on his face and body, bestowing him with a charming sheen, like a king proudly standing apart, making him appear particularly dazzling.
