Lord Game: I Have 100 Million Talents
Chapter 304 - 43: 4 Mythical-Level Animal Souls
After reviewing Yugudora’s stat panel, Qin Feng finally had a clear understanding.
’So it turns out these "Destiny Heroes" in the Lord World are all extraordinary beings with their own built-in Cheating mechanisms.’
’If I didn’t have the "Riding and Cutting System" and hadn’t already surpassed the scope of ordinary Lord Players, I probably wouldn’t have stood a chance if I had to face these Destiny Heroes and their Heaven-defying abilities head-on.’
Yugudora’s greatest strength was one-on-one combat. In a duel, she could simultaneously control the abilities "Ignore Blood Lock" and "Blood Lock." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Such a skill set was equivalent to having a life-saving measure like the Barbarian King’s Big Move, while also being able to directly break through an opponent’s own Barbarian King-style Blood Lock defense. She was practically a bug-level existence in the realm of dueling.
If she hadn’t submitted to me directly back then, but instead proposed settling things with a "duel," and I, failing to notice she might be hiding a Heaven-defying Awakened Talent like "Guaranteed Solo Victory," had rashly accepted the challenge, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
At that time, I would have definitely suffered a major loss at her hands. I’d have been tangled up with a Blood Lock-activated Yugudora, who would have painstakingly whittled away my over one hundred thousand total Blood Volume, causing me to lose the "submission bet" we had agreed upon.
Oh.
No, wait.
’I don’t have over one hundred thousand Blood Volume anymore.’
’Because in order to completely eradicate the Evil Dragon Jinli, I had no choice but to use Resurrection on it twice. Each Resurrection cost me 20% of my Maximum Life Value.’
’All told, I only have a little over eighty thousand Blood Volume left. Even though that number still looks astonishing, it’s a far cry from my peak condition...’
In any case, no matter how you looked at it, Yugudora’s dueling ability was absurd to the extreme.
Even without resorting to any dirty tricks, relying solely on a direct confrontation, she could use her Instant Death-type Divine Gift skill, "Justice Lies Under the Holy Sword," to forcefully execute an enemy leader right on the battlefield.
What was even more terrifying was that this move not only targeted the main objective but could also instantly kill a large swath of regular soldiers and Heroic Units who hadn’t reached the Legendary Level. It was practically a battlefield-clearing superweapon.
As for Fenrir.
Her Heaven-defying power stemmed mainly from two skills of the "Natural Sacrifice" Profession.
First.
Oscorrea.
The skill summons Forest Sub-human Heroic Spirits with whom a connection has been established through a natural ritual, allowing them to return as primal animal souls. Any Heroic Units among them come back as Mythical Animal Souls, possessing some of their powerful skills from life. The higher Fenrir’s Natural Sacrifice level is, the longer the animal souls exist, which is equivalent to them having higher Life Value.
At first glance, this skill seemed quite similar to a Necromancer’s "Land of Corruption" skill, as both were methods of summoning a large number of temporary combatants.
But in terms of overall power, the "Oscorrea" skill far surpassed "Land of Corruption," making it an utterly broken existence.
One had to understand that the Undead Creatures summoned by a regular "Land of Corruption" were merely Zero-star Mortal Soldiers. Not only was their range of activity strictly limited to the Land of Corruption, but their numbers were also a paltry two thousand or so.
But the "Oscorrea" skill was completely different.
It could summon hundreds of thousands of animal souls at once, and these souls would fully synchronize with Fenrir’s personal rank, becoming 1-star Extraordinary Soldiers.
More importantly, they were not bound by geography and could follow Fenrir to any battlefield.
Although the animal souls summoned by this skill had a time limit, this single drawback was no longer a problem as long as she equipped player treasures with abilities that "Extend Summon Duration" and "Increase Summon Life Value," or Heroic Weapons and Heroic Equipment with corresponding stats.
After all, these animal souls were just temporary, re-summonable muscle. There was no need to feel bad even if they were all lost on the battlefield.
Qin Feng could easily command them to act as the vanguard for the Undead Vanguard Army, using their "lives" to rack up achievements and conquer cities.
This way, they would often be completely wiped out on the battlefield before their duration even expired.
The concept of a "duration limit" was effectively nonexistent.
Afterwards, Fenrir would only need to cast "Oscorrea" again to summon them once more from the Hall of Heroes, creating a constant stream of suppressive force.
By repeatedly cycling through this summoning tactic, Fenrir alone, even without the assistance of other legions, would have enough power to breach certain Gulad Cities that weren’t guarded by "Extraordinary Dragon Cavalry."
Second.
Wild Call.
This skill allows her to select powerful heroic spirits from ancient times that were once Heroic Units, letting them persist by her side in the form of Mythical Animal Souls. She can designate one such hero for every five levels. These units have no self-awareness and will automatically resurrect after a certain waiting period upon death.
This was Fenrir’s second powerful Summoning Skill.
Based on her current Professional Level of over 20 in "Natural Sacrifice," she could already summon four Mythical Level animal soul bosses at the same time.
These four were the brother and sister of the Lynx Twins, plus the incomparably valiant King of Bulls and the Holy Flame Lion, which commanded the power of faith.
Admittedly, there was a significant gap in combat power between these Mythical Level animal soul bosses and pure-blooded Mythical Level heroes like Fenrir and Yugudora. The bosses could only be considered "nerfed" Mythical Level combatants.
But when compared to other Legendary Heroes who had not yet reached the mythical realm, their individual strength was still quite formidable.
More importantly, each of these soul bosses possessed unique, exclusive mechanics, making them capable of handling all sorts of complex battlefield scenarios. Their practicality was not the least bit weak.
