His expression was frigid as he took off his jacket and tossed it over. "Put this on."

Xu Su had never been shoved away so forcefully. Her head hit the leather backrest, making it buzz. Before she could say a word, a jacket was thrown over her face.

She frantically tore the jacket off her head and looked up at the icy young man who had just gotten into the car. Gritting her teeth in anger, she grabbed his arm and protested, "Zhou Mochen! You pushed me! You actually pushed me!"

Zhou Mochen’s face was blank. "..."

The girl’s soft body was pressed against his arm, making him feel both flustered and annoyed. ’Who sent her? She has no sense of propriety.’

His expression grew even colder. He lowered his gaze, intending to pull his arm back, but then he suddenly caught sight of her face and froze.

The girl’s fair, flawless face was free of any makeup, yet a single, fleeting glance was enough to take his breath away.

She was like an Immortal banished from the heavens, her eyes still holding a naivete untouched by the mortal world.

Only when his assistant got into the driver’s seat did Zhou Mochen snap back to his senses. He snatched the jacket Xu Su had tossed aside and wrapped it around her.

He ignored his assistant’s shocked stare at the woman who had suddenly appeared. After saying, "Back to Xiangli Bay," he raised the privacy partition, blocking the view from the front seats.

Xu Su managed to peek around just in time. Seeing a familiar face, she tilted her head and called out just before the partition closed completely, "Hello, Sun Special Assistant."

Her wrist was seized. Zhou Mochen frowned at her. "Who sent you?"

Xu Su felt as though she were in a dream. She calmly looked at the younger version of her boyfriend—a good seven or eight years her junior—and teased him with a smile, "Guess."

Zhou Mochen assumed she was trying to act cute and flirty. His face hardened in displeasure. "Don’t put on an act. I’m not a fan of this routine."

’Not a fan of this routine...’

The corner of Xu Su’s mouth twitched. She simply cupped his face and planted a quick kiss on his lips. Pulling back, she smiled and asked, "How about this routine, then? Do you like it?"

’Her smile was both delicate and alluring, and she was incredibly bold. It was obvious she was used to being spoiled...’

Whatever he was thinking, Zhou Mochen’s expression turned so dark it was terrifying. He reached out and grabbed her chin. "Tell me your name. And who sent you."

His voice was merciless and his expression was even scarier, but Xu Su wasn’t afraid at all. She gave him another loud peck. "My name is Xu Su. I’m here to be your girlfriend. Do you want me?"

"Girlfriend?" Zhou Mochen paused, stunned, before a smirk touched his lips. "Is that what the person who sent you taught you to say?"

His smile was tinged with mockery, but Xu Su didn’t get angry in the slightest. Instead, she couldn’t resist reaching out to poke his Adam’s apple. "Hey, stop playing tough. I could be gone at any moment. If you don’t hold me tight now, you’ll lose your chance."

’Did she not know him?’

’If he wasn’t completely smitten, why would he give me his jacket the moment we met? And why would he let me kiss him...’

’If he really didn’t like me, he would’ve just thrown me out of the car. He wouldn’t care what I was wearing; even if I were stark naked, he’d still toss me out.’

Sure enough, at her words, Zhou Mochen grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer. "Go where?"

’She was delivered right to me. Where else could she possibly go?’

He thought this, but his arms tightened around her instinctively, a faint trace of fear in his grip.

"Tell me, who sent you?" His voice softened. "I’ll accept you. Just tell me, don’t be afraid."

His voice carried a clarity unique to a young man. Xu Su cupped his face and studied him intently for a long moment before she couldn’t resist planting a few more kisses on him. Finally, with a contented sigh, she buried her face in the crook of his neck, inhaling his clean, cool scent.

Her forwardness made the tips of Zhou Mochen’s ears flush red...

’How could she be so perfectly my type?’

His expression wavered, but he asked again, persistent, "Xu Su, tell me, who sent you?"

Xu Su leaned against his shoulder, her finger poking his Adam’s apple again. "I’ll answer your question if you answer one of mine. Deal?"

Zhou Mochen caught her misbehaving hand. "Go on," he said cautiously.

"No one sent me. I came on my own." With her hand still held in his, Xu Su leaned up and pecked his flushing neck, feeling as if her life was now complete. She grinned. "My turn. Zhou Mochen, how old are you right now?"

Zhou Mochen didn’t answer, merely frowning as he asked, "How did you get into the car on your own?"

’The car was locked, yet she just appeared out of thin air...’

"Well, think about it. Who has your car keys and could have gotten me in here?" Xu Su huffed. "So, do you want me as your girlfriend or not? And stop talking about ’accepting’ me. I’m not some gift."

As if he’d figured something out, the young man’s arms suddenly tightened, pulling her firmly into his embrace. "First, tell me who you really are."

Xu Su let him hold her, pretending to think for a moment before answering, "I’m your darling sweetheart. The girlfriend you’re absolutely crazy about."

"Nonsense!" Zhou Mochen’s face flushed with embarrassment. "I only just met you today."

"It’s true, I’m not lying." Xu Su smiled and pointed at herself. "In this time period, you haven’t met me yet. I came here from the year you turned twenty-four. If you don’t believe me, just ask yourself: didn’t your heart skip a beat the moment you saw me?"

Zhou Mochen stared at her, stunned. "The year I turned twenty-four?"

"That’s right!" Xu Su said earnestly. "Last night before I fell asleep, I was just thinking about how you’re five years older than me, and how it was a shame I never got to see you when you were a teenager. Then I woke up, and here I was."

Her story was utterly absurd, but Zhou Mochen’s expression didn’t turn sour. Instead, his tone softened slightly. "Do you have any proof of what you’re saying?"

Xu Su instinctively checked herself over, only to find that other than the nightgown she was wearing, she had nothing on her.

’I’m not even wearing any underwear...’ 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

A blush slowly crept up Xu Su’s face as she reached down and zipped up the jacket.

Watching her, Zhou Mochen frowned. "Run out of lies?"

"I’m not lying!" Xu Su shrank back. "I came here the moment I woke up! How would I have any proof? In any case, everything I’m telling you is the truth."

Just as Zhou Mochen was about to speak, the car came to a stop. He paused, then opened the door. "Get out."

Xu Su rolled up the sleeves of his jacket and was about to step out barefoot, but before her feet could touch the ground, an arm wrapped around her waist and lifted her up.

Holding her in his arms, Zhou Mochen glanced at his assistant and ordered, "Go open the door."

Sun Special Assistant, still standing by with a look of utter shock, heard the command and quickly jogged over to unlock the villa’s front door.

Xu Su wrapped her arms around Zhou Mochen’s neck and let him carry her inside.

He carried her all the way to the main living area on the second floor, set her down on the sofa, and told her to "wait here and be good" before heading back downstairs.

When he returned, he was holding a pair of slippers. "Put these on."

Xu Su tilted her head with a smile. "You put them on for me."

"..." The young man frowned at her for a moment before bending down. He knelt, took her foot, and began to put the slipper on for her. "I’ve already sent someone to check the security footage," he said. "We should have an answer in two hours, tops. If you’re willing to tell me the truth right now, I won’t be angry with you."
