Chapter 1326: You Forced Me
Qin Yi's eyes narrowed slightly. What terrifying attack speed.
So far, Xiao Jian was the strongest opponent he had ever encountered.
This old man's Cultivation had already reached the Realm of Mahayana Perfection.
Even Qin Yi didn't dare underestimate Cultivation like that.
In the blink of an eye, just as the white light was about to hit Qin Yi, a brilliant Star and Moon Symbol flared in the center of Qin Yi's palm.
Xiao Jian's attack was instantly forced to change direction, blasting apart a long-collapsed ruin a hundred meters away.
Xiao Jian froze. How had his attack suddenly changed direction?
"Brat, how did you do that?"
The corner of Qin Yi's mouth curled up. "If you want to know, beat me first."
Xiao Jian snorted coldly. The aura around him surged to a terrifying level, distorting the air within several hundred meters.
"Brat, try my Shaking Heaven Palm."
Rolling power surged out from Xiao Jian's palm, instantly condensing in midair into a gigantic Handprint that blotted out the sky.
Xiao Jian's raised hand shook, and the massive Handprint came crashing down with a terrifying pressure.
The ground under Qin Yi's feet cracked inch by inch, a clear sign of how powerful that giant palm was.
"Interesting."
Qin Yi chuckled lightly and formed a seal with one hand.
"God Slaying Blade."
A massive purple blade, over ten zhang long, floated in the air. As Qin Yi slashed down in midair, the gigantic blade descended vertically with a thunderous roar.
"Boom!"
The massive blade split the giant Handprint cleanly in half. In an instant, a storm swept out, the ground was lifted three feet high, the earth quaked and mountains shook, the might utterly astonishing.
Jing Wuyan and the others were shaken until their faces turned deathly pale, their blood and Qi surging chaotically; they almost coughed up blood. They could only retreat again and again.
Qin Yi laughed and said, "Uncle Jian, I didn't expect it—you've actually got some skills."
A strange glint flashed in Xiao Jian's eyes. "Don't know if you've heard this: ginger only gets spicier with age. My skills are far more than that."
"Rumble!"
The ground beneath Qin Yi suddenly sank, earth roiling as an enormous palm formed entirely of dirt surged up and grabbed Qin Yi in one go.
"Brat, this is the Sky Flipping Palm."
Seeing Qin Yi clutched in the giant palm, Jing Wuyan jumped in fright and blurted out, "Uncle Xiao, show mercy, don't hurt Brother Qin!"
"Relax, this old man knows what he's doing." Xiao Jian laughed proudly. But in his heart he was thinking that Qin Yi was far too arrogant, and needed to suffer a bit. Besides, he'd always suspected his Storage Ring had been stolen by Qin Yi. As long as he trapped him, he could force Qin Yi to hand over the ring.
Yun Mengyao just curled her lip in disdain. "You think that's enough to trap Qin Yi? Dream on."
"Hm?" Xiao Jian was stunned for a moment, then gave a cold laugh. "Brat, still trying to resist?"
He could clearly feel Qin Yi struggling inside the giant palm, trying to break out.
Xiao Jian stretched out his hand. The ground heaved again as earth rolled up, reinforcing the giant palm. His five fingers slowly closed, making the palm clench tighter.
"Brat, if you admit defeat, this old man will let you out right now."
But just as he finished speaking, his face suddenly changed drastically.
"Boom!"
The earth-formed giant palm exploded with a roar, dust and dirt waves sweeping out as Qin Yi's figure burst out from within. He did look a bit bedraggled though, covered in dirt from head to toe.
Xiao Jian was stunned. He hadn't expected Qin Yi to forcibly blast apart the giant palm and escape.
Qin Yi coughed a few times and spat out a few mouthfuls of saliva. Caught off guard just now, he'd been trapped inside; that giant palm was formed entirely from dirt, and he'd actually eaten a mouthful of soil.
"Brat, you really do have some skills," Xiao Jian exclaimed.
Qin Yi shook the dust off his clothes, looked at Xiao Jian with a hint of surprise. "Old man, I really didn't expect you to have tricks like that."
"This old man has only shown one or two tenths of his abilities. There's still plenty you don't know. I advise you to admit defeat, or you'll just suffer needlessly."
Qin Yi grinned. "Save the trash talk and just use whatever you've got."
Xiao Jian snorted, stomped viciously, and the ground surged as if a Dragon of earth was swimming below.
Qin Yi's figure flickered as he shot backward.
"Bang!"
The ground erupted as another giant hand formed of earth thrust out, slapping straight toward Qin Yi.
Qin Yi laughed. "Looks like you've run out of tricks."
"Brat, this is the Destroying Heaven Palm."
Qin Yi couldn't help but snort with laughter. "The move names are pretty flashy, but it's all bark and no bite. The power's lacking."
As his words fell, Qin Yi's clothes billowed, his long hair flaring wildly. He threw three punches in a row, brilliant Fist Marks bursting from his fists, swelling in the wind until they were the size of boulders.
"Boom, boom…!"
Three punches in a row shattered Xiao Jian's Destroying Heaven Palm, the massive Handprint exploding back into a rain of dirt.
Xiao Jian let out a muffled groan, his face turning pale as he staggered back a step.
But before he could recover, Qin Yi was already on him, his fist swinging down. The dazzling Fist Light twisted and detonated the air around them.
Xiao Jian roared angrily, bringing both palms together as terrifying power surged wildly from his hands.
Qin Yi raised his left hand, the purple Star and Moon Symbol blooming in his palm. Xiao Jian's attack was instantly diverted.
"Boom!"
Qin Yi's punch slammed into Xiao Jian, blasting him a hundred meters away. He stumbled a few steps on landing before finding his footing.
"Uncle Jian, still not admitting defeat?"
Xiao Jian's old face twisted with embarrassment. He could clearly feel that Qin Yi hadn't even used his full strength with that last strike; otherwise, he'd be dead or at least gravely injured.
"Brat, what kind of freakish trick are you using?" Xiao Jian was extremely surprised that Qin Yi could change the direction of his attacks.
"Admit defeat and I'll tell you."
"Not a chance." Xiao Jian might be old, but his competitive streak was still strong.
Qin Yi's eyes narrowed slightly, his expression turning dangerous. "Uncle Jian, you're the one forcing my hand."
"So what if I am? Bring out whatever you've got."
Qin Yi stepped forward. The ground exploded underfoot as his whole body shot toward Xiao Jian like a streak of light.
Xiao Jian roared, his aura sweeping out as he struck a palm through the air. A terrifying Palm Wind howled forth.
"Boom!"
The Palm Wind completely engulfed Qin Yi. In an instant, under everyone's gaze, Qin Yi was torn to pieces by that terrifying Palm Wind.
"Brother Qin?" Jing Wuyan cried out shrilly in fright.
Everyone was stunned.
Xiao Jian himself was dumbfounded. Had he accidentally killed Qin Yi?
Yun Mengyao shook her head helplessly. "Uncle Xiao, don't believe what you see. Use your heart to feel."
Xiao Jian was taken aback. What was that supposed to mean?
Before he could figure it out, a chill suddenly ran down his spine. Only then did Xiao Jian realize he'd been duped. The one he had just killed wasn't Qin Yi at all; it had to be another one of Qin Yi's weird tricks. He spun around, both palms striking out—but in the instant he turned, he suddenly felt his movements pause, as if his body had turned to stone.
That pause only lasted a second, but for a powerhouse like Xiao Jian, he knew exactly how important that second was. In such a short moment, life and death could be decided.
"Bang!"
A big foot slammed unceremoniously into Xiao Jian's backside, sending him shooting out like a cannonball.
