The black-robed woman took off her hood, revealing a beautiful face. It was the leader of Bluefield Country, Tushan Yu. The two of them had shared many unforgettable memories back when the Fiend races passed by Bluefield Country, but it was a pity that they weren’t able to meet much afterward. Later, Zu An learned that she had entered a Divine Palace. He hadn’t expected to meet her here.

“What brings you here?” Zu An was overjoyed. He ran up to her.

But Tushan Yu took several steps back while staring at him hesitantly. “Your face...”

Zu An belatedly remembered that he had altered his appearance to conceal his true identity. He quickly reverted to his original appearance. Only then did Tushan Yu breathe a sigh of relief. She leaped into his arms, and the two of them embraced.

“What are you doing here?” Zu An couldn’t believe that the beautiful woman in his embrace was the same enigmatic black-robed woman from earlier.

“This isn’t the place to speak...” Tushan Yu looked around before concealing themselves and pulling Zu An into a remote hut.

“What about you, big brother Zu? What are you doing here?” She looked visibly more relaxed after closing the door. She took off her black robe to reveal her graceful figure.

“I came here to obtain the Asuras’ power insignia,” Zu An replied. Living would be too tiring if he couldn’t even trust someone like Tushan Yu.

Tushan Yu was taken aback. “You’re here for the power insignia as well?”

“Who else is after the power insignia?” Zu An asked.

“First Elder Pimosh of the Asura Council also hopes to become the new Asura King,” Tushan Yu replied with a frown.

“You seem to be his subordinate,” Zu An asked.

“Just in name. Someone like him can’t possibly order me around.” Tushan Yu harrumphed.

“You joined the Bliss and Desire Divine Palace, right? Did you come to this world under your universal deity’s edict?” Zu An thought about how this world was free from the universal deities’ influence despite being filled with all kinds of powerful figures. Was this world strong enough to resist the universal deities, or had the universal deities yet to discover this world? Both possibilities didn’t seem likely.

“How did you know that, big brother Zu?”

“I returned to the Cultivation World but couldn’t find you. I did a quick investigation and discovered that you entered the Bliss and Desire Divine Palace.”

Tushan Yu wrapped her hand around Zu An’s arm. “Big brother Zu, I didn’t think that you would look for me and get nervous when you realized that I'd disappeared. I’m so happy.”

Zu An laughed. “Isn’t that normal?”

Tushan Yu shook her head. “You’re the strongest expert in our world, and the women around you are of lofty stature, be it the Little Fiend Empress or the Human race’s Crown Princess. I am ordinary compared to them. It’s already a blessing to have won your favor. I dare not hope for anything else.”

Zu An looked at Tushan Yu’s beautiful face. Her unique disposition as a member of the Fox race made her appear innocent yet seductive at the same time. I think you have a misconception as to what ‘ordinary’ means.

He gently held her hand and said, “I judge people by their personality, not by their strength or background.”

“I am only realizing that now, and that’s why I’m very happy.” Tushan Yu curled up in his arms, her white tail waving around in delight.

Zu An thought about the time they had spent together. Her tail would always wag like this whenever she was extremely happy. It stirred lewd thoughts in his mind. Knowing that he had more important business here, he reined in his thoughts and asked her about her agenda here.

Tushan Yu enjoyed his touches. She lazily adjusted herself into a more comfortable position as she replied, “I’m not qualified to receive orders from a universal deity yet. I was sent here by the Heavenly Devil Empress.”

“Heavenly Devil Empress?” Zu An was startled. He belatedly remembered that there were Devils in the Celestial World as well. They had the power to stir the most carnal desires. Countless Celestials and Asuras had fallen into depravity under their temptation.

Later, the Celestials banded together and launched a crusade against the Devils, but as long as desires remained in the world, the Devils wouldn’t vanish entirely. While they defeated the Devils, they knew that it was only a matter of time before the latter made a comeback. However, it had been a long time since anyone had heard of the Devils, to the point where many people had forgotten about their existence.

“Mm.” Tushan Yu nodded. “She ordered me to infiltrate the Asura World and exploit the Asuras’ jealous and violent temperament to stir an internal conflict. I’m not sure what the Empress’ goal is, either.”

Zu An fell silent. “Why did Lozento and Pimosh join forces?”

“Pimosh harbors hatred against the Celestials for snubbing him. Lozento lost his only son in a battle against the Celestials several years ago, so he bears animosity against them. However, the Asura King believes that the Asuras will be destroyed if they continue fighting the Celestials, so he wishes to push for a ceasefire. Pimosh and Lozento were already opposed to that, so it only took a bit of meddling from the Empress to provoke an uprising,” Tushan Yu explained.

Zu An frowned. This complicates things. Pimosh and Lozento harbor hatred against the Celestial World, and the Heavenly Devil Empress is pulling the strings from behind. It’s unlikely that this matter can be resolved peacefully.

“You've already forged a partnership with Lozento, so why are you liaising with his vice-commander as well?”
