Isekai Adventure in the Dimensional Cube
Chapter 1692 - 1153: "You’ve Already Lost.
"Boom!!!"
When a thunderous boom echoed across the skies of Britain, the black storm enveloping the entirety of Camelot shattered as if it had been torn apart from within.
The storm gradually diminished, and the darkness began to recede. When the royal city deep within Camelot once again basked in sunlight, countless fairies swallowed by the storm uttered voices of disbelief.
"Are we back?"
"Where is the black storm?"
"Has it disappeared?"
"What on earth happened?"
Whether it was the fairies and humans belonging to the Allied Army, the knights of the Queen’s Army, or the high-ranking fairies residing in Camelot, they all looked around in shock, seemingly unable to process the recent engulfment by the storm and the ensuing darkness that blinded them.
The only ones who remained somewhat composed were Bagster and Habettelot, standing guard at the entrance of the royal city, not having proceeded to the Jade Throne Hall to face Morgan with Altoria and the others.
"It seems a lot has happened at the other side that we are unaware of."
Habettelot stared towards the Jade Throne Hall, musing aloud.
"Whose power is this?"
Bagster’s eyes were filled with confusion.
She knew clearly that the black storm was not the power of Morgan, nor was it that of Altoria and her companions.
At least, as the first Elf Knight under the Queen, she had never seen Morgan display such ability, nor witnessed it in battles against Altoria and others.
If Altoria and her allies possessed such power, they would have shown it when she pursued them earlier.
Thus, logic told Bagster that perhaps an unexpected change occurred in the battle happening within the Jade Throne Hall.
"Or possibly... is it one of the ’Dome’ powers held by Her Majesty?"
The ability to forcibly drag others into an unknown barrier and space indeed resembled Morgan’s developed ’Dome’.
But what is the nature of such power?
Does Her Majesty possess powers so terrifying and dark?
This thought seemed to have crossed Habettelot’s mind as well.
"You don’t seem to be Ash... not Morgan’s power."
Habettelot’s youthful face suddenly became serious.
"Something bad might have happened."
Speaking this, Habettelot hesitated for a moment, then intended to rush into the royal city.
Bagster wanted to follow suit.
However, in the next moment...
"Thump, thump——"
A sudden, intense palpitation emerged within Bagster’s chest, as if her heart had abruptly begun to throb violently, causing her steps to halt.
"Thump, thump——thump, thump——"
The heartbeat grew more intense, a feeling of burning heat surged within, swiftly coursing through Bagster’s entire body, causing her eyes to widen.
Overpowering negative emotions appeared with no warning, causing whispers to manifest around Bagster.
The voices urged her to kill.
The voices urged her to destroy.
"————"
Unknowingly, Bagster’s eyes turned bloodshot as her rationale started slipping away.
"Hey! What’s wrong with you... ?!"
Habettelot seemed to notice Bagster’s anomaly, calling out beside her.
Unfortunately, Bagster could no longer hear.
Within her, only scarlet darkness was burgeoning.
Appetites began to grow ravenous.
The curse started to spread from the depths of her body.
Vaguely, Bagster seemed to hear the angry roar of a pitch-black hound.
Then, Bagster understood.
That was her own voice.
...
At the same time, at the bottom of the deep cavern.
This was a depth of over eight thousand meters underground.
Here, sunlight no longer reached, engulfing the surroundings in pitch darkness, with only vague fiery glows flickering at the very bottom, making one suspect the presence of a volcanic crater, from which streams of magma flowed, causing such eerie fiery light.
Amidst the flickering flames, one could vaguely see ash-like specks of dust wafting upwards.
For ages, it’s been like this here, silent and brimmed with despair.
But just not long ago, a hysterical scream echoed here.
The scream swiftly dissipated.
The entity that screamed sank into the glow at the bottom, consumed like an offering.
And then... the ’monster’ that had been in slumber for over ten thousand years in this unfathomable darkness awakened.
It was a vast existence.
It was an enormous form.
It was an emotion of pitch-black depth.
It was a terrifying gaze.
The entity symbolizing Britain’s most primal, deep-rooted, and gigantic evil finally opened its eyes after ten thousand years.
It possessed no consciousness, nor the existence of ’intellect’, only brimming with hatred and curses.
Long dead, leaving only remains, yet these remains had cursed this sinful island for over ten thousand years.
Now, these remains were driven by bone-deep hatred and curses, also ignited by that ’repulsive offering’.
Thus, it finally moved, crawling step by step towards the mouth of the cavern, carrying countless ’hands’ formed by curses.
