Isekai Adventure in the Dimensional Cube - Chapter 1621 - 1117: This Is the Fairy’s Original Sin
Londinium, inside.
Since it’s called the Ruined City, Londinium’s street view naturally won’t be any better.
Just like the outer walls, the interior of Londinium is also in ruins everywhere. Both the streets and buildings are in a state of disrepair; some buildings even only have a vague shell left, with nothing else remaining. With trees growing all around, at first glance, it really feels like an abandoned slum.
However, despite the shabbiness, the districts of Londinium are surprisingly clean, clearly having been tidied up and repaired.
"Although there aren’t many people, it’s unexpectedly lively here."
Following the crowd into Londinium, Reiger looked at the street scene before him and expressed this thought.
Within his line of sight, the scene of humans gathering and living together, almost impossible to see in the other cities of Fairy Country Brittania, was flourishing.
"Ha—ha—ha—"
A group of soldiers clad in armor and wielding spears and shields lined up neatly in a square, practicing thrusting under the leadership of several Knight captains, shouting forcefully with each thrust, truly displaying well-trained discipline.
"Clang—clang—clang—"
Inside some of the dilapidated buildings, blacksmiths were swinging hammers with vigor, forging metal, and the produced weapons were stacked in bundles beside them, along with shields, bows and arrows, and armor.
Additionally, there were wooden carts being pushed, loaded with various supplies—some were daily necessities, others were food and water, or timber and rocks—being sent to various parts of Londinium.
Overall, this place didn’t look like an abandoned city at all, more like a military town on the rise, giving a sense of vitality, energy, and bustle.
"Right?" Da Vinci, resonating with Reiger’s thoughts, smiled and said, "We were also shocked the first time we came here."
"Can’t be helped," Alberon shrugged and said, "After all, it’s the Ruined City, and the inhabitants here are a group of primarily human insurgents. In most people’s minds, this place should be more broken down and impoverished."
Even though the [Round Table] has had a history of several thousand years in Fairy Country Brittania, currently, the ruling power of this country is still the Queen’s army led mainly by Morgan.
The Queen’s army is vast and terrifyingly powerful; even though there are several forces in Brittania resisting it, collectively, these forces are still weaker than the Queen’s army.
Among these forces, the Round Table Forces are undoubtedly the weakest.
They could only choose Londinium, with its cursed rumors as a base, and its members are almost entirely humans weaker than fairies. Their numbers aren’t large enough to make a substantial impact; without Pasival with the Holy Lance leading, the Round Table Forces would have already perished.
So, in the eyes of the general public, the bustling and lively inside of the Ruined City Londinium should be something unimaginable, right?
"Currently, there is a company within the Round Table Forces, composed of both humans and fairies, numbering about 400 people, with me as the commanding officer. It’s the Round Table’s main force."
Commander Pasival enthusiastically introduced to the newcomer Reiger.
"Then, we also have five squads and five detachments, each of the former consisting of about 50 elite members, while the latter are undergoing training to serve as reserves capable of fighting on the battlefield."
"Meanwhile, many non-combatants also live within Londinium, responsible for building, tailoring clothing, providing daily sustenance, blacksmithing, law and government, and education, a segment of about 300 people."
"Although there are many shortcomings, everyone is working very hard; without them, there would be no Round Table Forces today."
Upon hearing this, Reiger nodded while calmly pointing out.
"So, the actual combat-ready soldiers are only around a few hundred, right?"
Considering that most of these hundreds are humans, one can imagine how powerless the Round Table Forces are against the mighty Queen’s army.
Not to mention, Bagster, who led the Queen’s army to pursue Altoria and the group from Chaldea, included not only every soldier being fierce Tusk Clan fairies, but also around several thousand in number.
The numerical gap between the two was at least tenfold, and this was merely the Queen’s army under Bagster, excluding the garrison in Camelot and the private soldiers of various major fairy clans’.
The disparity in manpower is already so pronounced, and the gap in individual strength is even more obvious.
At least, in Reiger’s view, while humans in Brittania’s Lostbelt benefited from the abundant Magic Power environment, making their physical abilities inherently stronger than those of ordinary humans in the Pan-Human History, even then, humans, no matter how strong, have a significant gap compared to fairies in pure physical capability. Not to mention, fairies are inherently imbued with mysterious qualities, which "ordinary" humans simply cannot match.
Take the most fierce warriors among the six major fairy clans, the Tusk Clan fairies, as an example.
Unless extremely weak individuals were the exceptions, Tusk Clan fairies generally possess stats equivalent to Lv.5.
For some more powerful individuals, having stats equivalent to Lv.6 is also quite normal.
And how about humans?
Even though humans in the Fairy Country Brittania Lostbelt are stronger than ordinary humans in the Pan-Human History, after training, they are equivalent to Lv.2-Lv.3 entities, at most not exceeding Lv.4.
