Clarence and I indeed had many more rounds after that (too many!). Even considering that I made sure that he does not die on me and he is at least well fed in between all the "humping" that we did. Still, we only came out on the second morning after the wedding reception.

That is what other’s perceive but with the effects of my ability to control the speed of how much time passes inside the room, we very much stayed in that room for about a week. I did not use the full 12-hour conversion since I do not want to use too much mana and apply stress on his body. I would have wanted to stay for a longer time but duty calls and it is about time to report to the place for my academe immersion. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

In between the activities on the bed, we still tried to keep our activities balanced. We bathed, ate, slept and talked about random things as if we are a couple who have been together for many years in between. The only thing we ever wore while we are in that room was a bathrobe for easy access after we bathe, of course. The rest of the time, we did not even bother to wear anything.

The morning that we finally came out of my personal quarters, we are well-dressed and freshly bathed. My husband chose a more casual set of clothes though, not the usual priestly attire that he wears when he walks around.

Though this was a significant physical change, I am quite sure that the other would notice something else first. For one, Clarence’s overall demeanor seemed to change quite drastically in just a matter of days. If I put it in words, he seemed to be tamed and subdued.

When we exited the room, he confidently held my hand and walked leisurely beside me, his face a picture of contentment, happiness and confidence. Gone was the man who looked insecure, scared and unsure of what his life would be after. I was happy about the changes though it does not show on my face.

As we alighted the stairs, a few of the junior priests who were walking along the corridors saw us, surprise clearly shown in their faces then all of them blushed and walked away faster for some reason. Sure, they have not seen us for about 2 days after the wedding and everyone must be wondering when we are coming out.

I looked at my husband walking next to me and his face is perfectly relaxed with a little smile on the corner of his lips. We ignored the looks that everybody gave us but smiled and greeted back to those who did. We went straight to the dining hall because we are just in time for the breakfast service. I wanted to go to the pope’s office first but Clarence whined that he wanted to eat a full meal first before meeting the "old, grumpy man".

As we entered the dining hall, there was a sudden pindrop silence as everybody stopped eating and chatting, all their eyes on us. Clarence this time walked faster towards the front of the dining hall to where the food is being served, ignoring everybody. I obediently followed him to the direction he is going as he pulled me by the hand.

For someone who has been tossed around in bed for several days, he indeed looked quite spirited. Let us just say that I made sure to nourish him well with my mana and other types of sustenance while we are in my room. There were no obvious love marks seen on his skin since he is fully clothed but it doesn’t mean there aren’t any. He is still a bit more conservative on that part compared to my other husbands who liked to parade those marks for everyone to see. He asked me to keep the marks in placed that is covered by clothes.

Once we are in the food service area, Clarence smiled and took a tray for each of us. In it were a little of everything that is available on the menu which is a set of a soup, a vegetable dish, two meat dishes, slices of bread, a bit of rice, fruit juice, a glass of cool water and a cup of hot chocolate. It was quite an improvement compared to the food that was available when I first arrived here.

I used magic to levitate the two trays so that we can walk leisurely to one of the empty tables. My husband happily walked to a table nearby with a little hop in his step, clearly showing how happy he was. I couldn’t help but shake my head with an amused smile on my face.

Less than 10 minutes into our meal, most likely hearing from somebody that we have finally come out from our honeymoon, the pope arrived in the dining hall together with a junior priest in tow. He looked like one of those people we first saw when we alighted those stairs. He must have been assigned there to tell the pope about any updates.

The pope immediately walked towards our direction and he sat in front of Clarence while his attendant went straight to the front to get a tray of food for the pope. As for the pope, he did not speak and simply looked at me and his grandson as if scrutinizing if we are both fine or if there are any issues, particularly with Clarence’s body during the time that we were left alone to our devices.

Clarence simply looked up and nodded a greeting to his grandfather then looked back down to continue eating. As for me, I also smiled and greeted him a "Good morning". The attendant returned quickly with a plate of food for the pope before quickly leaving the three of us all awkward and choosing to just continue eating in silence.
