Chapter 326: Limitation

Lina was silent for a moment, before she finally shook her head as she said, "I have yet to decide which branch I will join.

Additionally, I don’t even know if we will be allowed to actively choose what branch we would like to join, or they will directly assign the branches by themselves.

Regardless, if I can make a decision on that, I will definitely join the same branch as you. At least, we know each other, so I will not have to start making new friends all over again."

Kate was surprised by Lina’s decision. But eventually, she thought, it could work. After all, the ability that Lina had could allow her to join any branch.

And Kate of course would love to have Lina a company her to the same branch. That way, they could continue building on their friendship.

Having already learned a lesson, Kate had no any intention of continuing to train. So, she just began chatting with Lina, talking about different topics and so on, while waiting for night time to arrive.

Since they were not allowed to leave the dormitories today, they had no choice but to wait for the next day.

...

Michael accompanied Alex and the rest of the group to have fun, not caring about the aftermath of dealing with Ethan, or Jack and the others.

The group visited several entertainment venues, though, in quite a number of them, Michael was not very impressed. Instead, he just went with the flow, and accompanied the group.

But in other places, he enjoyed himself, realizing that despite the number of skills that he had already mastered, that did not change the fact that he was a human.

Additionally, he was just 18 years old. Therefore, there were quite a number of things that he could explore.

Eventually, Michael returned to the villa at almost midnight. And as he lay on his bed, he recollected everything that had happened today.

Eventually, he realized that he had tried out so many things that he had never done before. Some were due to the restrictions that had been placed on him by working for Shadow Assembly gang, or because he could not afford or gain access to them.

But of course, there were things that he made sure to avoid, which included alcohol and smoking. These things, not to mention the age restrictions which was currently at 21 years and above, it was also a matter of principle.

For Michael, when he was growing up, he’s parents always advised him that when he grew up, he should try to avoid those two.

At first, they might be fun, but in the long run, they could bring in some problems that could make him regret it. The problems could either be direct or indirectly.

Someone might drink or smoke cautiously, not overdoing it, but at times, if they ended up getting drunk and losing control, they might do something that they could regret for the rest of their lives.

Additionally, Michael himself never liked to encounter a situation where he could not control his body. Just imagining that was already frustrating, therefore, no matter what, Michael had no intention of drinking alcohol, even in small amounts.

Even though his parents had already passed away years ago, Michael still held the teachings that he received from them.

Truthfully speaking, even if Michael drunk alcohol or smoked, it would not have much of an effect on him. After all, after taking the evolution serum, his body had already gone beyond the capabilities of a human.

It was not just related to the strength and other physical aspects, but the metabolism of his body and so on had also been improved.

Therefore, in case something harmful was introduced into his body, his body would automatically fight against it. And due to the improvement that his body defense mechanism had received, it was not much of a problem to deal with toxins from alcohol and smoking.

While Michael was still thinking about this, he eventually fell asleep, waiting for tomorrow to arrive, so that he could get another clone.

...

It was a dreamless night, and when Michael woke up, he just stretched a bit, before he checked the system.

At the moment, he had a total of 5 clones. By average, each clone could push a total of 6 skills to the expert level per day.

With a total of five clones, the previous day, he managed to gain a total of 32 skills at the expert level, which earned him a total of 192,352 points.

This immediately brought him to a total of 1,283,322 points in balance. This was equivalent to $128.3322 billion!

Of course, with companies such as Sky Technologies and Vanguard corporation, the wealth that Michael currently held was not just limited to cash. But of course, in case he needed money, the points could be easily converted into cash, which would sort out any problem.

And of course, that would be only be used in case the stock market no longer had money, which was obviously impossible.

And talking about the stock market, with the huge amounts of money that Adrian was making in the stock market, it has caused quite some chaos in the stock market.

At first, only a few professional traders noticed that something unusual was happening. This was because certain stocks stopped reacting in normal ways, and short positions became harder to hold as prices moved against expectations. This forced some traders to close their positions early to avoid bigger losses.

As time passed, more participants started to react, and trading volume increased as algorithms and funds adjusted their strategies.

The price movements became sharper in some places and calmer in others, which created a feeling that the market was reacting to a hidden force that nobody could clearly identify.

Inside big financial firms, risk systems started to show warning signs, and managers reduced exposure because they were unsure about what was driving the movement. Some traders believed it was skill, others suspected manipulation, but no one had clear proof of what was really happening.

Of course, the money itself did not disappear from the system or break it. But, the way it was made changed how people behaved. This was because liquidity became thinner in some assets, spreads widened for short periods, and volatility increased as more traders tried to protect themselves from sudden changes.

Outside professional circles, smaller traders saw fast price moves and sudden reversals, and many of them struggled to follow the pattern, so some left the market while others tried to copy the movement and ended up entering too late or exiting too early.

At the same time, regulators began to pay attention, not because of the profit alone. But, it was because of the trading pattern behind it. They wanted to understand whether it came from normal skill, extreme advantage, or possible market manipulation, even though the market itself kept running as it always does.

Of course, Michael was not worried about the regulators being able to find anything against Adrian. After all, Adrian was not doing anything illegal.

At least, even though Adrian was using other methods, including getting help from Onyx, to gather some crucial information regarding some of the companies in the stock market.

So basically, Adrian was using information in order to be able to predict the shift of the prices of the stock. Additionally, Adrian was not using a single account, but many small accounts, making tracing it back to him almost impossible.

Leaving aside the issue of stock trading, Michael decided to focus on something else.

For now, he wanted to create yet another clone. The earlier the clone was created, the better it was, as it could immediately start learning some new skills.

But just as he activated the psychic clone ability, he realized that nothing was happening. This was kind of unusual, that it left Michael puzzled.

He immediately inquired about this from the system, to which the system was quick to respond.

[There is a limit to the number of clones that the host can create at a time. It is not just about a limitation in the number of clones generated at a time, but the maximum number of clones as well.]

[Currently, the number of clones that the host can generate and allow them to exist at the same time is 5.]

[The host can generate a new clone as soon as another one dissipates, of course, with a limitation of one clone per day.]

[This limitation can be removed if the level of the psychic clone ability can be improved.]

At this point, Michael was left speechless. Why was it that the system did not inform him about something like this early on.

Despite his complaints, Michael found this to be kind of reasonable. Without a limitation like this, Michael could have as well created an army of himself.

Considering the abilities that I currently had, who would be able to deal with him? After all, just by himself, he could create a full army, in such a way that he was the one that would be dealing with logistics, intelligence and he would be the one on the field as well

Despite the disappointment of not being able to create yet another clone, Michael decided not to dwell on this matter.

Instead, he thought about the requests that Raymond and the rest of the group had made to him the previous day.

They wanted to be trained by Lucas, which was of course impossible, considering how busy Lucas was going to be in the near future.

Therefore, Michael had come up with an idea of purchasing more bio humans from the system, in order to be able to train Raymond and his group.

As he thought about this, he immediately accessed the system, before he began browsing through the bio humans available.
