Infinite Sharing System: Cultivating With My Sister In The Apocalypse
Chapter 87: Preparations [ 1 ]
(One month later...)
Xuan flipped through the book Huizhen had given him, reading it for likely the tenth time this month.
However, even after so long, Xuan couldn’t understand what was written.
Sure, there was some sort of technique inside this notebook, and he had only managed to decipher two movements.
The first step and the first punch. That was pretty much it. He wasn’t making that much progress, as if something was missing.
I don’t get this at all... Xuan stashed away the notebook into his inner pocket and rose from the comfortable bed.
He was currently in a tent, and on the bed to the left of him, Yuelan rested, her feet kicked up as she leisurely read some kind of magazine.
She had always liked sleeping beside him, and even when they grew up, she slept in the same room as him. Even after this time, some things hadn’t changed.
Noticing his gaze, she raised a brow.
"So? Anything this time?"
Xuan shook his head. "Nope. I’m starting to think Huizhen just scribbled something and gave it to me. Nothing makes sense. How is he, by the way?"
Yuelan smiled, putting the magazine away and sitting up properly.
"He just broke through into the Spirit Grandmaster realm. Your pills were pretty helpful, or so I’m told."
"Clearly not helpful enough since I can’t help a certain someone." Xuan rolled his eyes. "Is she showing any signs of waking up?"
"The Hanbi girl? Nope. The poison has been out of her system since the moment we took her back here. As it stands now, she’s just comatose... No one really knows why or when she’ll wake up," Yuelan replied.
Six weeks.
She had been out of it for six whole weeks. Every now and again, her hands would twitch, but she wouldn’t open her eyes.
Her father reached out to Yuelan a few weeks ago, and he should be arriving within the next week for his daughter.
It sucks... I can’t do anything to get her out of it either. I’m just stumped, Xuan thought, frustrated.
Shaking his head, he decided to check his status screen.

Ever since the Qi Blockage disappeared, he started gaining Qi Purity just by using his skills and Spiritual Qi. He wasn’t sure what the process behind it truly was, but the fact that his Qi grew more potent and powerful the higher the Purity was was undeniable.
The Demonic Qi Type also went up after the encounter with Lin Fei and the two people Yuelan and I one-shot. Now I just need a Qi gathering technique to cultivate each Qi type. That should help me raise it more aside from just consuming powerful demonic poisons.
Aside from that, there were two things he wanted to do today.
First...

<Black Sun Body Tempering>
<Rank: Divine>
<Mastery Level: 1>
<Description: A body refinement method that channels the oppressive heat of the void’s black sun. Permanently increases durability and resistance to fire and spatial distortions.>
—
He wanted to cultivate this Body Tempering technique. He had brainstormed with Yuelan on how he should go about it, and he was pretty sure he had come up with something solid.
That being, summoning a black sun inside his Domain. After so much practice, he was sure he could do it, and then use it to temper his body.
As for the second thing...
"Did you get the recipe?"
Yuelan grinned as she pulled out a piece of paper from under her pillow. Then, she folded it into a paper airplane and sent it toward Xuan, who caught it without trouble.
"Their vault was filled with gold, weapons, and a few techniques. Not too many alchemy recipes, but one of my shadows managed to find one. Also, I took the liberty of having my shadows prepare all the ingredients for you, as well as forging you a cauldron out of mithril. You can pick it up from my office," she said proudly.
"Yuelan..." Xuan was speechless, but he knew all that she did stemmed from genuine care, so he didn’t say no to her.
"Thank you."
"Mhm." Yuelan smiled. "Get plenty strong while we’re here. After we travel to other worlds, we’ll be at square one again."
Xuan chuckled and stood up. To her surprise, he suddenly hugged Yuelan, and then, without elaborating, he stepped out of the tent.
Despite a month passing, they were still in the western camp. The renovations of the Grand Jade Temple were proceeding smoothly, and he was sure that the people would be able to move in by the end of the month.
He made his way to Yuelan’s office, which was just one large liquor store in the middle of the camp. She didn’t drink, but she did say having her office inside such a store was badass.
I won’t spoil her chuuni phase. She’ll realize how awkward she’s being after reality hits her, Xuan cackled to himself, and after navigating through a few doors, he found her neat little bedroom, where a single mithril cauldron rested.
It was sturdy, and while he didn’t know who forged this, Xuan was very grateful.
Inside the cauldron were the materials needed to make the Advanced level pill, and so, after picking everything up, Xuan made his way out of the camp.
No one interrupted him, as always, and so, after finding some quiet place to sit down, he focused on the recipe Yuelan had gotten him.
<Vermilion Blood Essence Pill>
<Unknown Mortal Ranked effects.>
"Nice." Xuan facepalmed. So much for preparation. This better not explode in my face, at the very least. Then again, despite this pill being Advanced Level, it’s still only Mortal Ranked. I should be fine.
With those thoughts in mind, Xuan carefully inspected each of the 10 ingredients. Leaves, flowers, animal parts...
I really have a bad feeling about this.
But, since there was no other way to get an Advanced level recipe here, he went ahead and started brewing.
His Void Qi enveloped all the ingredients, melting them down according to the recipe and enriching the pill itself.
Unlike his usual pills that took him less than 20 seconds to make, this one in particular already went beyond 20 seconds.
30 seconds, 40 seconds, and right as it hit the 50-second mark, Xuan felt the pill harden as it emitted a pleasant aroma, meaning it was done.
Not only that...
<Requirements met!>
<Would you like to break through into the Spirit Master realm? Yes / No>
"In a few minutes," Xuan brushed it off as he carefully took the crimson pill out of the cauldron and then inspected it.
—
<Vermilion Blood Essence Pill>
<Rank: Mortal>
<Pill Purity: 99%>
<Description: Refines the user’s bloodline by infusing it with purified elemental vitality. Temporarily boosts physical regeneration by 500%. Due to nearly perfect Pill Purity, upon consumption, your physical regeneration permanently increases by 15%>
—
"Thank god it’s not explosive..." Xuan thought with a smile, and right as he was about to pop the pill into his mouth, he realized that he should probably give it to Yuelan as a gift.
Therefore, with his sour mood completely gone, he made his way back to the camp.
However, he spotted that the cultivators standing by were nowhere to be seen. Because of that, he opted to just jump over the wall.
But when he did, he saw a massive commotion as people swarmed around the infirmary.
In the very front, Yuelan and her shadows stood firmly, making sure the people didn’t step inside.
He could basically feel Yuelan’s glare from all the way here, and when she began aggressively tapping the air, he knew what was coming.
<Xiao Yuelan: Your girlfriend woke up from a coma, get your ass over here. Now.>
