Immortal in Horror Game: She is the Fortune Teller!
Chapter 474 - 466: Burn City Belongs to Yuze
Josh got into Yuze’s Mighty General, and the two turned and left.
Yuze seemed to be in a good mood.
Josh felt even better than him, "Captain, do you think we look like those despicable villains who collude together in novels?"
Yuze raised an eyebrow, "Hmm?"
Josh: "First, we stormed in aggressively, then humiliated everyone like petty villains. Finally, we assassinated a gentle young healer. After committing murder in the middle of the night, we got away scot-free, swaggering as we walked away."
Yeah, it doesn’t sound like something upright people would do.
But she was very happy.
Yuze laughed as he looked at her, "Are you happy?"
Josh nodded vigorously, "Happy!"
Yuze: "As long as you’re happy, then villains it is."
They returned to the guild, and it was already late at night.
Josh greeted him, then remembered something and added, "Captain, can you accompany me somewhere tomorrow?"
Yuze: "Okay."
Josh laughed, "Aren’t you going to ask where?"
Yuze: "You’re already taking me along, what else should I ask?"
Josh: "It’s to meet up with Sun Qimeng. She promised me a reward after the deed was done, at the auction house in Burn City."
Yuze raised his hand to ruffle her hair, "Alright~ I got it."
He was really fond of Josh and her sincere little ways.
It gave him the feeling that he was one of her own, so there were no secrets kept from him, which reassured him greatly.
The next day.
Josh came downstairs and saw Yuze dressed in all black, with a black mask and sunglasses on his face, and a black baseball cap pulled low over his head. Her mouth twitched.
Yuze gave her a curious look, "You’re just going like that?"
Josh: "... What else?"
Josh was wearing a simple T-shirt and loose pants, with white sneakers on her feet and her fair, slender arms dangling freely.
She had her hair tied in a ponytail, her neck so slender that he couldn’t help but wonder if it could actually support her little head.
Yuze: "At least do some disguising, right? Can’t stand out too much."
Josh looked at his outfit, "Do you think... you’re not standing out like that?"
Yuze: "At least standing here, nobody in the guild can recognize who I am."
Rob came downstairs yawning, glanced over at Josh and Yuze, and his sleepy eyes cleared a bit, "Morning, Little Tactician, morning, Captain."
Yuze: "..."
Josh nodded slightly at Rob, then turned to Yuze, "Captain, you really look like a thief claiming there is no treasure buried here."
Yuze: "..."
Finally, with much persuasion, Yuze changed out of his supposedly flawless disguise. Wearing everyday casual clothes, the two put on masks and drove the Mighty General out.
Auction house.
Josh used a coin to retrieve the gemstone Sun Qimeng traded to her, then immediately stored it in the warehouse.
Yuze beckoned with his hand, "If you see it, you get a share, give me half."
Josh thought she heard wrong, "How much do you want?"
Yuze: "Stingy."
Josh: "No splitting the loot with you."
Yuze sighed and nodded bleakly, "Alright, now you understand my intentions, using me as free labor without any qualms."
Josh suddenly turned around, blinking at him, "Isn’t it okay for a future boyfriend to run errands for a girlfriend?"
"Ah!!!" Yuze shouted, covering his ears.
Josh was startled, "What are you doing?"
Yuze angrily hugged her head and shook it, as if he was going to rattle her brains apart, "You’re a girl, how can you say something like that first?! You have to wait for me! I should say it, I should say it!"
Josh was shaken until stars danced in her vision, her brain feeling like it might scramble if it was an egg.
She hurriedly nodded, "Okay, okay, fine, fine, you say it, you say it, I won’t say it anymore."
Yuze looked at her with some exasperation, suddenly asking, "It’s your birthday in three days."
Josh blinked, "Really?"
Yuze nodded, "I’ve been counting the days."
Josh suddenly laughed, "Looking forward to it."
Yuze met her smiling eyes, which seemed to be oozing sweetness, wrapping his heart in a snug embrace.
He couldn’t help feeling dizzy, lost in her childlike smile.
When they returned to the guild, that dizzying feeling of weightlessness hadn’t subsided yet. He could only sit at the bar downstairs, staring "seriously" at the table, with his mind repeatedly flashing back to Josh’s smile at him earlier.
He felt this smile was very different from Josh’s past smiles.
Those past smiles had a bit of social distance, the kind of smile reserved for teammates and ordinary friends.
But that smile just now had an inexplicable intimacy.
He was 100% sure it was a smile only a girlfriend would give to a boyfriend!
Rob came down from upstairs, seeing Yuze looking dazed at the bar, and curiously asked Josh, "Who was so wicked, went out once and got our captain knocked silly?"
Josh shook her head, "I don’t think so, he’s always been with me."
Rob: "Did you eat his brain? I’ve never seen the captain like this before..."
Josh glanced at Yuze at the bar, couldn’t help but smile a bit, "What do you mean like this? Still as charming as ever."
His face as stunning as always.
Rob frowned, "Has a kind of brainstem deficiency beauty."
Josh’s mouth twitched, "I see you’re itching for trouble."
She carried a bag of stones upstairs, with Rob following behind, "What’s that?"
Josh grinned, "A little present I brought for you all."
Rob’s eyes lit up, following her, "What kind of little gift?"
Josh didn’t hold back, directly taking out the stones and handing him one, "These are Original Stones for you all, each of you gets one."
Rob looked at the burlap sack, "Besides us four teammates, there’s also the coach and Joyce, who are the remaining four or five for?"
Josh: "The remaining four or five are for the captain. He took us to the auction and helped me buy a few Original Stones before, so I thought since my birthday hasn’t arrived yet, I’d repay him a few now."
Rob gave her a strange look, "Didn’t the captain ever tell you?"
Josh was puzzled, "Tell me what?"
Rob: "About Burn City. The whole of Burn City belongs to the captain. Any spending you do in Burn City, the money ends up in the captain’s pocket."
"Huh??" Josh was dumbfounded.
Rob: "Before the captain was named by the gods, his name was Burn, Burn Clarence. The Guardian God favored the captain and named the most prosperous star in the Central Star system after him when he was 10, gifting it to him. So the largest Central Star is called Burn City, also known as Burn Star."
Josh’s face turned completely dark.
