And just like that, a month passed, and every day, Luna would find her way there to stay with Ken, who she had gotten extremely close to and started talking a lot with.

Well, that was what it looked like on the outside, but Ken had noticed something about Luna every time his body visited and she hid and watched. She always had a very pissed-off expression after, even if she tried so fast to wipe it away.

When this had happened the very first time, he shoved it away, but now after being with her enough to know her character, he was certain about one thing, she didn’t want to see other females around him.

So while he was about to check his system stats and see where he was now, he also made sure to remember to confront her a bit. He wanted to be sure he wasn’t overanalyzing things and getting the wrong assumption.

He pulled up the screen to see how far the progress of a month had been. It had been filled with the most intense of workouts, everything that he could use his body to carry out inside this forest, he had done it. He turned his body into a machine in a month alone.

Sadly, the system growth was not linear. The higher he got, the harder the requirements, where now he was doing over ten thousand pushups to get the same result that he gained on day one.

Ken looked at the screen with a smile on his face. He had started this with a weak ten in strength and whatnot, but now he stood at a staggering one fifty. He could bear hug a large tree and easily rip it out of the roots and nothing would happen to him.

"Hahaha, that’s more like it, I’m much stronger," he declared as he clutched his hands in the air, "but not even strong enough."

He recalled some spells that Luna had showed him. He recalled their strength, he knew that he wasn’t enough yet. She had also taught him about the levels of spells. It all started from one-star spells, basically spells nearly everyone could use, and then it rose all the way to nine-star spells, but the average most powerful spells that could be seen were four-star spells.

She let him know that the gap that existed between each star was not a simple double, it was far, far bigger.

She also taught him how mages were categorized, especially on the human side of things. An apprentice mage came first, then a mage, then a one-star and two-star mage, before becoming a grand mage, then a wizard, grand wizard, great wizard, and then a magus and grand magus, the current highest known rank for mages.

He didn’t get a lot of details, but he liked everything he gained and he could imagine things now. He also got to know that the kingdom they stayed in was called Aroth, the kingdom to the south of the continent they lived on, mostly dominated by humans.

"I should finally take that purity pill, he had been keeping it for a while now," Ken said.

When he had read the description of the pill, he realized that it was a pill that would cleanse the body completely and improve the inner workings of his body, granting more strength and better senses permanently.

He had wanted to take it back then, but the system warned that with strength less than a hundred, the pill could make the user explode, and so he was forced to keep it aside and train his body even more.

Ken stretched out his hands and with a thought alone, the pill appeared in his hand. He looked at it with a very calm expression. He took a deep breath and then sat on the ground, crossed his legs, and then tossed the pill into his mouth. It melted the very moment that it touched his tongue.

He expected it to take some time before anything started, but almost instantly, like a wave slammed into him, he felt it hard. His entire body suddenly rose in temperature, so high that it felt like he was burning from the inside.

"Urghhh," he groaned in pain. He clenched his fist tight as he stood against the burning pain inside his body.

After what seemed like a very terrifying minute, the burning finally went away, and what came after was a heavy sense of calm. He could finally open his eyes, and when he did, he was covered in a very thick black liquid that smelled bad.

"What the hell is this?" he asked, wondering how all of this had come out of his body.

He rushed to his feet and then to the stream. The system sent some messages, but he ignored it, leaping into the stream naked to wash himself. The black liquid was washed away fast and flowed away with the water, and after a few minutes of scrubbing with his hands, he felt clean.

He got out and looked at his clothes. They looked ruined, so he dashed to the campsite naked, but moved way too fast to even be seen at all.

He arrived there wet, picked a trouser from the ones his mum had brought, and wore it, leaving his bare, wet, and extremely chiseled upper body exposed.

Only now did he look at the screen, and he was amazed by what he saw.

"Whoa, this is crazy," he muttered, amazed by how good this was. He was so carried away he didn’t notice Luna quickly.

She stood a small distance away, staring at the godly body before her, her breathing so quiet because she was so scared he would hear her and take away the sight from her.
