Chapter 1388: Defeat and Ruin

Samba Miu’s hand froze in midair, but he quickly snapped back to his senses and lifted the dice cup with haste.

Because according to the rules, if he couldn’t reveal the dice within one second of Zhang Yi placing his bet, he would lose!

And the number revealed had already been swapped to a 1 by him.

Zhang Yi had lost his left hand, but a victorious smile curled at the corners of his lips.

He looked at Samba Miu, whose skin had grown even paler from impatience.

“You cheated.”

Zhang Yi’s left hand was taken away again, but Zhou Ke’er quickly regenerated a new one for him.

Limbs were far easier to regenerate than internal organs and didn’t threaten his life, so the healing was relatively simple.

By now, Samba Miu sensed that things had spiraled beyond his control.

He stared coldly at Zhang Yi. “You’re talking nonsense!”

Zhang Yi said, “My eyes can see through things.” He pointed two fingers at his own eyes, then at the dice cup. “So from the very beginning, I’ve been watching every time you cheated.”

“Don’t think you can control the situation. I was just playing along with you!”

Samba Miu glared at Zhang Yi, his gaze venomous enough to devour a person.

As a master renowned for his gambling skills, being caught cheating on the spot—and realizing his opponent had deliberately played along for so long—was the ultimate humiliation.

However, Samba Miu quickly calmed down.

“So what if I cheated? What can you do about it?”

He reached out and pushed the dice cup forward.

“The rules of the game only care about the result after the cup is lifted. Before that, we can use any means we want.”

This was his domain; he was the rulemaker. Even if he cheated, it would stay within the bounds permitted by the rules.

Zhou Ke’er frowned and cursed, “Despicable! Shameless!”

Even though Samba Miu couldn’t understand Zhou Ke’er’s words, he could guess what she was saying.

He shrugged indifferently. “Since when did you think a casino would play fair with you?”

Zhang Yi nodded. “You’re right. So let’s continue! This game is very interesting, and I enjoy playing it.”

Samba Miu stared at Zhang Yi and asked in a low voice, “Even knowing you absolutely cannot win, you still want to keep playing? I don’t believe that flesh regeneration trick of yours can be used indefinitely.”

Zhang Yi let out a light chuckle.

“You’re right! Of course, such a trick can’t be used forever. But then again, can your trick be used forever?”

Zhang Yi looked into Samba Miu’s eyes, narrowing his long, slender ones, and spoke slowly, “I deliberately tested you for over a hundred rounds. You used your ability sixteen times to beat me.”

“If you could use your ability indefinitely, even if I only lost a fingernail each time, I’d have been finished long ago.”

“But I know that rule-based abilities aren’t invincible. Even you, the creator of the rules, are constrained. There must be a way to break them.”

As he spoke, Zhang Yi pointed at Samba Miu.

“So, your ability usage is also limited!”

“Come on, from now on, I’ll directly guess the dice number every single round! Unless you activate your ability each time, I’ll win the game outright!”

“Let’s see how long you can hold out!”

The expression on Samba Miu’s face froze.

At the same time, the Demonic Clown beside him burst into loud laughter.

“Congratulations! You’ve won this gamble! Now, the game is over.”

The rules of the game had been broken; victory and defeat were decided without any suspense.

The dark void before them shattered instantly.

And Zhang Yi and his group appeared directly on the ruined streets of Nasha.

The area had already been devastated by war. Nasha’s soldiers were locked in fierce combat with human soldiers. Corpses littered the ground everywhere, buildings had collapsed, and flames raged across several streets, billowing thick smoke into the sky.

Zhang Yi immediately stashed Zhou Ke’er and Yang Siya into Mu Yan’s Shadow Space.

Now, he had to face the white-robed, three-eyed general standing at the other end of the street.

“After a rule-based superhuman’s rules are broken, how much strength do they have left? I’m looking forward to finding out!”

Without wasting a single word, Zhang Yi drew his massive pistol, White Owl, aimed it at Samba Miu at the other end of the street, and rapidly pulled the trigger!

“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!”

The bullets roared, carrying powerful Void Power as they instantly reached Samba Miu.

Samba Miu seemed lost in a daze after losing the gamble.

But on the battlefield, the enemy wouldn’t give him time to mourn.

He suddenly looked up, revealing a fierce grin as wild laughter echoed down the entire street.

All at once, countless shattered white butterflies burst forth from his body, surging forward!

The entire street was engulfed. Zhang Yi’s bullets collided with the white butterflies, forming massive void spheres that devoured them.

The shattered butterflies scattered with the wind, some drifting past Zhang Yi at close range. Only then did he see clearly—they were actually white playing cards.

Countless white cards danced in the air before slowly revealing Samba Miu’s enormous, ghastly pale face.

He deftly shuffled a deck of cards in his hands, flipping them like butterflies through his fingers.

“Don’t think you can beat me just because you’ve left the gambling table. I could take your life inside the game, and I can do the same outside it!”

Zhang Yi sneered. “You couldn’t beat me inside the game, and you can’t beat me outside it either.”

Those words enraged Samba Miu. His face twisted in fury as he hurled his cards toward Zhang Yi!

Every card turned into the sharpest dagger, shrieking as they sliced through the air.

“Manifold Phenomena!”

Zhang Yi instantly opened three thousand Dimensional Gates around his body. Countless cards plunged directly into his dimensional space, only causing faint ripples at the gate’s entrance without coming within an inch of Zhang Yi.

Meanwhile, Zhang Yi raised his gun, and a massive void vortex materialized behind him.

Vast void energy converged through his arms into the weapon, unleashing a terrifying strike!

“Spear of Annihilation!”

The twin guns merged, and from the muzzle erupted a colossal void war spear, tearing through the sky in an instant toward Samba Miu!

Sensing the destructive force contained within, Samba Miu’s face turned even paler.

He roared in fury, and the cards in his hands transformed into an endless wave of paper, surging skyward like an infinite tide. Finally, they coalesced into a several-thousand-meter-long white dragon that crashed into the black war spear!

The collision happened in the blink of an eye. There was no explosive, heart-stopping impact—just a silent, soundless annihilation.

The white dragon disintegrated into nothingness in an instant. Samba Miu could only watch helplessly as the massive war spear hurtled toward him. His eyes nearly split open as the Spear of Annihilation swelled infinitely before his gaze, like a mountain toppling toward him.

Moments later, Samba Miu standing on the street had vanished.

Along with the street he occupied and the city behind him stretching tens of thousands of meters—all erased. Only a massive, spear-shaped crater remained, scarred permanently into the land of Nasha.
