Chapter 97: I think we should make a written rule not to scare Alex...

The colorful flickering lights were still radiating from the ten floating silver balls, the sound of music still echoed in Alex’s ears, but the crowd that previously existed had now disappeared.

Thousands of students were sleeping on the ground where they had danced before, while Alex and an elf girl became the only ones awake.

Alex looked around the green field, now the servants had surrounded the two of them, Alex’s heart beat rapidly, his head felt like it was spinning because of the sudden change of atmosphere.

Alex raised both of his hands as if surrendering, he shouted in the middle of the noisy music, his face was several times covered by colorful lights.

"Saint Azara!! What happened?!"

Saint Azara laughed hearing Alex’s question, she walked closer which made the servants surrounding Alex also move closer. "You should have drunk the sugar rush!!..."

Saint’s laughter suddenly stopped. "Ahh if the situation is like this, you must be silenced..." Alex’s face froze hearing what Saint Azara said, his body no longer moved following the rhythm of the music.

He only stood frozen while Saint Azara smiled widely showing her fangs, her tiger-like golden eyes shone, she moved her hand to point at Alex and the elf girl.

"Capture Alex Sander and Aera!!"

The servants and seniors surrounding Alex laughed loudly, their laughter almost rivaled the music that previously sounded enjoyable, they slowly stepped together through the gaps created between the sleeping academy students.

Alex only stood stiffly, in his ears now there was only the sound of Saint Azara’s laughter and the servants, his heart beat quickly, his thoughts kept racing, the bitter memories he experienced earlier that afternoon immediately replayed again which made Alex realize something.

Alex opened his mouth, he screamed as loudly as possible which made the servants’ and seniors’ steps stop. "WOAAAAAHHH!!"

Alex immediately turned his body around, he ran past the bodies of the sleeping students while the servants and seniors only stared at him, this was the first time they heard Alex scream in fear.

Saint Azara who had been laughing also fell silent, Kong who was beside her immediately nudged her waist. "You made him scream like his life was threatened." Saint Azara scratched her cheek, she chuckled awkwardly. "Really? But the servants were laughing too, it’s not my fault right?"

Calista who was beside Saint Azara only sighed, she shook her head while looking at Alex’s back who was trying to escape even though he was surrounded. ’He must be traumatized after being chased by thousands of students... but, is it really that bad until he became like that?’

Calista’s bright purple eyes reflected Alex’s back that kept moving, even with him being terrified, he still walked carefully so he would not step on other students.

Alex kept turning his head to the right and left, in the reflection of his eyes he could still see the servants smiling frighteningly, he searched for an exit from the hell that wanted to drag him inside.

The sound of music reminded Alex of something, Alex looked at the silver balls that were still flying and carrying out their functions, his breathing became heavy together with his heartbeat that kept increasing rapidly.

Alex swallowed his saliva, the only thing in his mind was to immediately leave the circle of hell surrounding him. ’Shit... shit... why am I always unlucky?! This fortress isn’t right... I’m going to run away, damn it!!’

Alex then took out a remote control from his smart bracelet, he pressed several buttons which made the ten silver balls fly lower approaching him, the silver balls still emitted colorful lights along with music that seemed endless.

Alex made the silver balls stop spinning and only fly, he gathered the silver balls together like a platform while he did not stop walking.

He unconsciously looked at Aera who only stared at him with an expressionless face, Alex shouted at Aera while climbing onto the ten silver balls that were now attached together like a platform. "Hey!! Do you want to come too?!"

Aera only stared blankly at Alex whose face showed anxiety and fear, she also looked at the silver balls that merged together while playing songs and emitting colorful lights, she then looked at the servants and seniors who only stared blankly at Alex who was now sitting on top of the gathered silver balls.

Aera pointed toward the servants, she opened her pink lips, her voice sounded soft and clear. "But they were only joking-" Aera’s words were cut off by Alex’s scream. "Quick!! We have to escape from this cursed fortress!!"

Aera fell silent for a few moments, the wind blew through her blonde hair with bright purple tips, her pointed ears moved when hearing the strangely pleasant music.

Aera then stepped through the sleeping students while sounds of chaos were heard from the servants and seniors.

"Sir Alex!! Where are you going?!"

"Miss Aera why are you following him instead?! This is only a joke!!"

"Heii!! Alex!! What are you doing damn it?! Where are you going?!"

The shouts of the seniors and servants did not reach Alex, he only heard the sound of music and frightening screams from the servants and seniors, while Aera who heard them clearly did not try to inform Alex, she only climbed beside Alex and sat down.

Alex then moved the silver balls that were attached together like a flying carpet, he immediately flew low and passed the servants and seniors who tried to jump to catch them.

The servants and seniors immediately began chasing Alex and Aera, they started running toward other areas of the fortress while shouting the names of Alex and Aera.

Meanwhile Kong and Saint Azara only stood frozen, they could not believe what they were seeing.

Kong held his head with both of his hands, curses came out from his lips. "What is that bastard doing?! And why is Aera just following him?!" Saint Azara laughed in disbelief, her tiger-like golden eyes looked at the servants and seniors who were beginning to move farther away. "Isn’t that crazy? How could he even think of something like that?"

Kong clicked his tongue, he raised his head and looked at Saint Azara. "You stupid cat! What if he passes the fortress and falls into the desert?! Your pets will happily eat them!"

Saint Azara’s eyes widened. "Shit!!" Kong immediately moved away from Saint Azara, he removed his white robe and let it fall onto the ground, he began channeling mana throughout his body, slowly his body grew larger, the clothes he wore began to be destroyed, his brown fur slowly disappeared and was replaced by brown scales, his body slowly transformed into a dragon.

He looked at one of the beastman servants with his dragon eyes, the servant did not join the chase of Alex and Aera, Kong’s voice echoed loudly. "Lyn... immediately move the students." Lyn nodded in understanding toward Kong.

A gust of wind immediately struck those close to Kong’s dragon form, his two wings slowly spread, he flapped them and flew chasing after Alex and Aera, leaving Saint Azara, Calista, and Dolyn behind.

Meanwhile from another area of the fortress, an explosion of fireworks was heard, the colorful sparks looked like they were trying to rival the colorful lights from the silver balls, unfortunately the fireworks did not decorate the sky, because Alex fired them toward the servants and seniors trying to chase him.

The servants did not stop even though they were shot by fireworks, they still shouted trying to wake Alex up.

"Sir Alex!! You must not go to the desert!!"

"Come down Sir Alex!!"

"Miss Aera, please wake Sir Alex up!!"

Unfortunately the increasingly desperate shouts of the servants could not be heard by Alex, his hearing was covered by the noisy music that continued endlessly, Alex’s eyes that looked at the servants raising their hands instead interpreted it as him being torn apart if he fell.

A final firework shot out, Alex immediately threw the used-up fireworks toward the servants, he then shifted his gaze forward where one final wall could be seen. Beyond that wall, a sea of desert could be seen.

Alex began pressing the remote control he held, slowly the attached silver balls started vibrating, the sound of flying machines became noisier and started rivaling the music, slowly the silver balls ridden by Alex and Aera began climbing higher until eventually they passed over the walls of Sunkiss Fortress.

A stronger gust of wind struck the two of them, Aera’s long hair fluttered, Aera only looked at the night sky, her green eyes reflected the shining dots called stars, she sat calmly without moving after climbing onto the attached silver balls.

Her forehead twitched when she saw one star that according to her looked different, her head continued looking upward following the star as they passed it, her head bent backward as if hypnotized, but eventually she looked forward again.

She looked at Alex from the side, her slender hand began pinching the sleeve of Alex’s light khaki jacket which made Alex turn toward her.

Aera pointed toward the sky they had already passed, her voice still sounded soft yet clear amidst the noisy wind and music. "Can we circle around one more time? I want to see the star over there again..."

Alex’s expression froze, his mouth opened without producing sound, his forehead wrinkled. "What...?" Aera who thought Alex did not hear her wanted to speak again, but a giant shadow covered both of them from the moonlight.

Alex and Aera looked upward simultaneously, there Kong in dragon form was diving toward them, he opened his dragon mouth widely revealing his sharp teeth.

Alex’s black eyes trembled, a terrifying and magnificent memory replayed inside his head again, the memory of seeing an angel descend from the sky and roar loudly.

A voice finally came from Alex. "WOAAAAHHHH...." Alex immediately jumped from the silver balls he rode, he also pushed Aera together with him, now they were falling from the height.

The wind blew against the two of them, Alex fell face down while Aera looked at the night sky and looked at Kong who was fighting against the ten silver balls they previously rode.

A sigh came from Aera, she tried turning her body and directing her hand toward the place where she and Alex would land, but a light moved before Aera could act.

Alex threw the Changing Sword downward which made it stab into the sea of desert sand, the Changing Sword transformed into a giant mattress which made Alex and Aera not crash harshly into the sand.

The two of them landed safely. Aera then turned her body again to look at the sky, a vibration spread through the mattress she lay on, slowly from various directions around the mattress, dozens of sand mounds appeared, pairs of glowing eyes could be seen behind those sand mounds.

Alex who tried standing up again was immediately faced with himself being surrounded once more, but this time by giant figures behind the sand, Alex wanted to scream again but Aera immediately struck the side of Alex’s neck which made him faint beside her.

Aera did not care about the sand mounds that were growing taller, because at the same time a beam of golden light emerged from Sunkiss Fortress, the beam of golden light carried a mystical wave which made the dozens of sand mounds dive back into the sand.

Kong in dragon form also descended, he looked at Aera who only stared at the sky while Alex was now unconscious.

"What are you doing, Aera? Didn’t you oppose Alex? Why did you follow him instead?"

Aera opened her mouth, she spoke while still looking at the night sky full of stars. "I already told him, but he didn’t listen. I was also curious how it feels to fly riding disco lights..."

A rough sigh came from Kong in dragon form. "Let’s go back..." Aera then stood up, she dragged Alex and stepped down from the giant mattress, she immediately climbed onto Kong’s back and lay on it while Alex was placed beside her.

Kong finally flew back into the sky, while Aera who still looked at the sky spoke again. "Kong, can we pass the fortress wall I crossed earlier...?" Kong fell silent for a few moments. "Why?"

A sigh came from Aera, her green eyes only reflected the sea of stars. "There was a beautiful star right above it, I want to see it again..." Kong shook his head but he flew toward the direction Aera wanted.

Aera once again looked at the star she wanted to see, even though the star looked the same. "Can I just sleep, Kong? I don’t like sugar rush." Kong slowly turned and started flying lower. "Then sleep...."

Aera slowly closed her eyes once, and every blink of her eyes became slower and slower. "Will the test be difficult?" One of Kong’s dragon brows rose. "You pay a lot of attention huh?"

Aera slowly closed her eyes and turned away from the sea of stars. "I accidentally heard it from my senior..."

Kong slowly landed on the green field, several students had already been moved by the servants. "You all will enter hell tomorrow..." Aera was silent for a few moments. "ahh..."

Kong slowly walked with his dragon body toward Saint Azara and Calista. "Sleep, Aera..."

Calista started climbing onto Kong’s dragon back, she looked at Alex who was unconscious in a face-down position while Aera slept facing the sky, a tired sigh came from Calista, she slowly lowered Alex and Aera down. "One lacks awareness of the situation and the other is too aware of the situation..."

Kong chuckled in his dragon form, he looked seriously at Saint Azara. "I think we should make a written rule not to scare Alex... he is very troublesome if he runs around in fear." Saint Azara nodded several times. "He really is strange..."
