Katarina’s forehead furrowed, her expression turned annoyed "what are you wearing? Where is your suit? Haven’t you changed your clothes yet?"

Alex spun his body once which made his jacket move like a dancer’s skirt "this is my battle outfit for tonight’s party..." Katarina closed her eyes, she lowered her head slightly while crossing both her arms "change...quickly change your clothes."

Alex shook his head while smiling "don’t want to...I’ll just wear this-" Alex’s words were suddenly cut off when Katarina pinched his ear and dragged him away, Alex screamed in pain which made several students they passed laugh.

Katarina’s steps that were already difficult became even more difficult because she dragged Alex, until finally she stumbled when her high heel stabbed deeper into the ground, Alex who had already predicted it immediately hugged Katarina’s waist from behind which made Katarina turn backward.

Alex then looked back at the beastman servant "is there really nothing else? There isn’t even plain water?" The beastman servant answered Alex while handing several cans to other academy students "seriously lord Alex. Saint Azara and lord Kong only provided this..."

"All teenagers love sugar rush, so you should try it too..." Alex shook his head and handed the drink back, he slowly walked away from the table providing drinks.

He looked around where all the students drank sugar rush, Alex scratched his dry throat, eventually he took out his symbol paper storing a bottle of cold mineral water.

Alex gulped it down as if it was his last drink, he shook his head while wiping his wet lips "what is this? How can saint Azara and Kong not provide plain water..."

Alex drank his water again, but a touch on his shoulder stopped him, Alex turned backward, there a teenager with long dark blue hair could be seen, he wore a black suit, while Alex’s black eyes looked at the teenager’s pointed ears.

The two of them got attention from the academy students who were casually chatting.

In the middle of the dance area, Ken held both of Reva’s hands, his heart beat fast as he looked at Reva, his hands trembled slightly as if he would explode at any moment.

Ken looked at Reva under the bright lights and thousands of stars, his eyes seemed unable to look away from Reva’s eyes, he felt he would still be able to see Reva’s brown eyes in the middle of darkness.

A sound like a gunshot suddenly diverted everyone’s attention, everyone immediately looked toward the night sky filled with stars, the uninteresting night sky immediately turned into amazement when a colorful light exploded there.

In the reflection of thousands of eyes, fireworks exploded inviting amazement from them, the seniors and the others felt confused because they had never prepared fireworks.

Laughter burst from the students who did not join the dance, they became wanting to join the dance in the next session after seeing what Alex did.

Among all of that, one laughter sounding happy was heard, that laughter came from Katarina who saw Alex continuously moving with various styles, tears accidentally escaped from her blue eyes.

She enjoyed seeing Alex making her laugh, but in the deepest corner of her heart she felt slight annoyance.

Slowly one figure approached Katarina which made Katarina’s laughter disappear, Katarina glanced at that figure, she was Sesa.

Sesa’s red fox ears twitched hearing all the laughter present, she whispered to Katarina "you’re quite happy huh for someone whose dance partner was stolen..."

"Don’t you like Julian anymore...?" Katarina fell silent for several moments, the smile had disappeared from her face, but her blue eyes still looked happy while following Alex’s movements, she whispered to Sesa without turning toward her "aren’t you also interested in Julian? Aren’t you sad you didn’t become the first to dance with him?"

Sesa chuckled while covering her mouth, her red fox tail swayed, while her red eyes glowed looking at Alex "Julian is no longer interesting..."

Katarina’s ears twitched, while Sesa moved closer toward Katarina’s ear, she whispered there "Alex Sander is more interesting....can you introduce me to him...? Yeah...consider it helping a fellow disciple..."

Katarina only stayed silent hearing Sesa’s offer, the dance pairs who previously danced now began leaving the dance area.

Sesa then pointed at Julian who was now walking approaching them with her chin "look at that! Julian will ask you to dance!" Sesa covered her mouth with both hands "woah...how happy!"

Katarina gritted her teeth, she wanted to reply to Sesa’s words but suddenly the lights illuminating the green field turned off.

Everyone looked toward the lights that turned off automatically, Julian even stopped his steps, whispers began sounding in the darkness.

"What is this?...."

"Hey quickly turn on the lights! I want to dance!"

"Seniors! Why are the lights off?!"

Commotion began happening among the students, while Kong and Saint Azara who were at the edge of the field clicked their tongues, Kong immediately wanted to go check it but Saint Azara held back his steps.

Saint Azara pointed with his chin toward the beastman servants who now stood surrounding the students in darkness.

Slowly one small light appeared from one beastman servant’s hand, a white spark appeared from a stick of wire.

Slowly one by one other lights appeared from the servants standing surrounding the students, the lights coming from sticks of wire emitting white sparks began attracting the students’ attention, they who previously had been entertained with fireworks began becoming entertained again with that.

The servants began distributing sticks of wire producing white sparks, the students began holding each one and white lights began appearing from their own hands.

"Woah...I want one too!"

"So many surprises at this party!"

"The seniors and servants truly worked hard!!" The seniors hearing that only looked at one another while the servants distributing the wires sparking white light only chuckled, because the one who started all of this was only one mischievous person.

Slowly the green field that previously lost light, began finding its light again, speck by speck lights appeared like starlight in the night sky.

Calista who was still at the edge of the field also received one, as did Ryu. Gordon also received one, he immediately asked for five of the wires.

Ken and Reva who had just returned from dancing also received one, they looked at one another, no words were spoken between them, but they knew who the mastermind behind all this was.

Julian swallowed his saliva, he also received one glowing wire sparkling white light, Sesa who was near Katarina also received one, while Katarina was not given one by the servant.

They immediately drew on the dark sky with the white sparks, while a sound like a drone flew above their heads.

Ten silver balls flew scattered above the heads of thousands of students on the green field, the silver balls then rotated in place, slowly a brighter light appeared from the flying silver balls.

Colorful spotlights came out from the silver balls coloring the faces of thousands of students, cries of amazement sounded from various directions, but their amazement did not stop there, because the flying silver balls emitting colorful spotlights also released sound from a song.

A bolder and more modern song sounded from the silver balls, everyone laughed and began playing accompanied by that song.

Katarina’s blue eyes looked at one of the silver balls, her face was repeatedly illuminated by colorful lights, a shout mixed with laughter suddenly sounded which made Katarina shift her gaze.

There Alex ran with bare feet and held ten sticks of white glowing wire in both his hands, he laughed freely and distributed what he had, he also helped ignite the sparks that were still dim.

He ran around the students, Katarina’s heart suddenly beat fast seeing Alex getting closer toward her, her hands trembled slightly because she worried about something, she bit her lips unconsciously.

A sigh sounded from Katarina followed by a wide smile when the thing she did not want did not happen, this time Alex stopped in front of her, he approached Katarina and extended his right hand still holding two glowing wires.

Katarina laughed freely, her eyes even disappeared because of her smile, Katarina wanted to take one of the wires with her right hand but Alex suddenly moved his right hand away.

A touch touched Katarina’s right hand, it was Alex’s left hand, he held it tightly which made Katarina stop laughing, her heart returned beating violently.

Under the glittering colorful lights, in the middle of the noisy more modern music, Alex shouted with his signature smile at Katarina "take off your glass shoes!"

Katarina blinked once, she heard what Alex said even though his voice was overlapped by loud music and the happy screams of the students, but she tried confirming it "what?!"

Alex chuckled, he moved his face closer toward Katarina and whispered in her right ear "take off your glass shoes, you won’t be able to follow my rhythm if you still wear them...."

Alex pulled his face back again, he slightly pulled Katarina’s hand to make her follow him "come on!"

Katarina laughed without realizing it, she nodded enthusiastically while removing both her glass shoes without the help of her arms, she only threw them away just like that.

A cold mixed with wet sensation was now felt on both Katarina’s soles, Alex then pulled her toward the middle of the dance area, they danced happily while playing with sticks of wire emitting white sparks, they danced while painting in the air.

They jumped higher than usual, their smiles looked more beautiful under the glittering colorful lights and distant stars, Katarina no longer cared about the appearance of her elegant dress, she only tried following Alex’s rhythm.

The students seeing Alex and Katarina dancing freely in the middle of the dance area began following their footsteps, everyone laughed and danced, no matter whether they had partners or not, they only danced together.

In the middle of that crowd, Alex’s first soul core worked hard, Alex continuously tried so he and Katarina would not bump into or get bumped by other students, for Alex all of that was worth it because with that both his eyes could focus only on the happy Katarina.
