Chapter 87: Bro.

Ava wore a beautiful purple gown laced with silver embroidery at the seams and edges. They deliciously highlighted her generous curves, making her appear effortlessly sexy.

Zorat had to admire just how delectable she looked. In terms of beauty alone, Ava is of equal standing with even Kaelara, in her own unique way. And her body was just as sinfully tempting.

If it were not for her equally unique ’tendencies’, Zorat would definitely be open to exploring andy and everything about her without reservations.

But looking at the way she’s already acting around Zorat, one would think they were already in some kind of a relationship.

And why are those two looking over here with such expressions?

Zorat also noticed that in the distance, Julia and Ariana were looking toward him and Ava, giggling as they engaged in their girlish whispers, while Ava was acting bashfully in front of him, twirling slightly with a hint of blush on her cheek.

As Zorat looked at the shy young lady, he realised that no matter how much he tried to entertain the idea of doing something simple to her, like say, dismemberment for example.... It just didn’t seem to stick, which is weird because Zorat quite enjoys the act of dismemberment.

Hmm.... Quite strange.

Wanting to cause harm, wreak havoc, and dismember is the innate nature of all demons. Though it’s more concentrated in some than others.

Zorat pondered, watching Ava with his right hand underneath his chin and his head tilting to the side. He wondered if his reservations about doing this young lady harm had something to do with the missing memories of the previous Caleb or his own experiences with someone similar.

After some polite back and forth, which lasted less than a minute, Ava proceeded to make another confusing statement to Zorat...

"Um... now that we have...decided...." Ava mumbled shyly.

What did we decide ?. Zorat wondered in his mind, still maintaining his smile outside.

"Will it be okay if we were to... spend some time together.. You know..." Ava stammered, blushing hard, not saying anything more, and just sending furtive glances at Zorat expectantly.

Zorat, who had hoped to hear more to at least understand what this young lady and the real Caleb had in common, was disappointed yet again when Ava again left him no clue. He was certain now that his earlier assertions were correct, and Ava definitely shared a complex connection with the real Caleb.

The only way to discover what that connection is is to directly ask her, because it doesn’t seem like she will ever get to the point at this rate. Spending time with her would be the best course of action.

There is also the fact that she’s essential to another of his strategies to fulfill the desires of yet another hero candidate.

"Sure. Spending some alone time together sounds like a brilliant idea." Zorat remarked in agreement, causing a beautiful smile to blossom on Ava’s face.

Hmmm. Why are the deadly ones always so damn gorgeous... hehehe.

Zorat watched, grinning as Ava ran back to the duo of her waiting friends, which now includes Erica, and, along with the other girls, they curiously and playfully teased Ava for information on what she had gone to say to Zorat.

Zorat now had double appointments coming up. One with a specified date, and the other unknown, since Ava simply ran off after saying all she wanted.

Just when Zorat thought his popularity streak had ended, yet another hero had walked up to him.

This one’s voice was baritone, he had a large physique, and seemed to have intentionally torn off the sleeves of his fancy formal shirt to give his bulging arm muscles some breathing room.

"Hey Bro. Can we talk ?"

Zorat tuned to see Broddy was now standing before him with his hands in his pockets, but the expression on his face and the shadowed bags underneath his eyes indicate he’s probably been crying for a while. Though he seems to be trying his hardest to appear composed as he addresses Zorat.

"What can I do for you, Broddy ?"

Zorat replied, smiling. There hasn’t been that much interaction between him and the hulking brute, but they have shared a few conversations over the two weeks they’ve been in this world.

It’s always been short, simple, and almost always in passing.

Broddy didn’t think much of Caleb, but also didn’t go out of his way to antagonise him.

Until a certain someone started influencing him behind the scenes, that is.

And whether or not Broddy was under the influence of someone else... fact is, he’s crossed Zorat... now he’s in his book.

Seeing Zorat’s benevolent and warm reception of him, Broddy became ashamed he had ever considered harming one of their own.

But he had not come to apologise this time, after all, he never actually ended up doing anything, so there is no need to bring up unnecessary things. What he came for was more important and even more painful.

Broddy couldn’t have imagined that his Erica would actually call off the relationship they’ve had for so long without any valid reason.

This completely broke him up and has caused him to entertain all sorts of ideas like this guy Caleb being the cause, just like Jacob had speculated.

But when he had recently learned that Ava and Caleb were actually in a relationship. Therefore, Erica must just be friends with Caleb.

Broddy felt ashamed for ever doubting sweet Erica. Now, all he wanted was a way to get her back.

Jacob and Roberto were a no-go because they always give very bad advice, and Andrew is always busy, training all the time, like they were running out of time or something.

So, that left Broddy with the only option of whom he had previously planned to harm.

Erica is also quite close to Caleb, and since Caleb was a guy like him, he would be understanding and help him get Erica back.

Only Caleb can help him get his girl back now.

"Bro. I need your help with Erica..." Broddy muttered, sighing in expressive sorrow.

"Erica ?. Don’t tell me there’s a problem with you two... are you guys alright ?" Zorat remarked concernedly.

"There is a problem, Bro. Erica... she dumped me." Broddy muttered dejectedly.

"What ?!. oh my... I am so sorry to hear that, Broddy.... You alright ?" Zorat blurted in shock at the news, placing his hand on Broddy’s shoulders in consolation.

"That’s why I need your help, Bro.... you guys are close... help me convince Erica to take me back, Bro," Broddy begged desperately.

Zorat placed both of his hands on Broddy’s shoulder, looking passionately into his eyes, and he said reassuringly....

"Leave it to me. I’ve got you back..."

"Bro."
