Chapter 116: Unexpected Guest

Zorat made his way back through the turbulent palace grounds in the direction of the cabin.

He could see several guards on high alert running about, and a few in a squad, as well as several of those now familiar veiled figures charging out of the main palace to the capital outside.

And Zorat, being the one they were busy trying to apprehend, was just phasing invisibly through them all as he walked through his regular route until he came upon his small cabin.

He entered and proceeded to cancel his domain void spell, appearing as he was in the middle of his cabin, and the view had, again, changed a little from how he had left it....

Myrra was also now on Zorat’s mattress, sleeping snugly with Florielle. It seemed almost like a default unconscious action now, with Myrra always somehow finding her way into Zorat’s mattress every night.

Looking around the cabin, Zorat could not help but think it was really becoming crowded, but with his furniture shopping done, he would soon provide a convenient alternative for this, which would also improve the privacy level of the cabin. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

However, for now, with his mental strength drained so much, he would need a couple of hours of rest to fully recharge.

After that is done, he would delve straight into doing as planned, and that would leave enough convenient room for his next expected guest.

Zorat joined the ladies in the mattress, sandwiched between the two beauties who instantly latched onto him from both sides the moment he climbed in, so Zorat wondered if they were in fact deep asleep or pretending to be...

Still, he allowed his body to drift into rest through the quiet night and the warmth of two alluring beauties, and soon the warm glow of the early sunrise pierced through the small windows of the cabin.

Both ladies settled into their daily routine around the cabin, and Zorat could tell something had changed about their relationship.

They seemed closer, and were always whispering in hushed tones among themselves while snickering and sometimes casting heated glances in Zorat’s direction.

Zorat could already imagine what topic had brought them so close.

He grinned as he reigned in his focus to the center of his cabin, looking at the carpet on the ground, because right there would be the site of his new project.

Zorat moved the carpet beneath his feet out of the way, and with a thought, a rectangular hole large enough to fit a grown adult materialized in its place....

And through that rectangular hole, a spiral staircase began to form all the way down several feet underground.

Zorat followed that staircase down as fine sand particles thirled, pulsed, and writhed around him as he moved.....

The stairs began to perfect themselves in real time to become smooth and shiny just like the surrounding walls on their path. A railing made of crystallized earth was also formed for a handle on the sides of the staircase.

As Zorat reached the last step, the space around him began to expand in four rectangular directions in the pattern of a room, until a full four-walled room with a high ceiling, four large pillars, with smooth, shiny walls and crystal floors came to life in only a couple of seconds.

He brought his attention to the left side of the wall, and right there, a door formed and through that, the space inside expanded just like the room before, forming an identical space to the one he had just created.

Quite convenient. Hehehehe.

Zorat grinned as he observed his work. He was currently using his earth manipulation ability at the supreme level. Though he couldn’t deal enough powerful damage to destroy someone at the upper levels of the paragon realm just yet, since his physical body could not withstand that....

But doing something like this, manipulating the properties of earth to crystallize sand, expand and remove it, or designing it into an imagined space was quite easy, and before long, all the structure was already in place for his new expanded rooms.

Zorat channeled some paths all the way to the surface, small circular openings, with crystal sand tops on the surface; they had small holes in them to allow enough ventilation to come down into his new underground accommodations, and take back up the hot air.

Then, in the center of his cabin room upstairs, right where he had made the rectangular opening, a crystallized sand hatch also materialized to seal off the enclosure, smoothing off into the rest of the cabin floor for a perfect blend.

With all that done, objects that were stored in Zorat’s spatial repertoire began to materialize directly all over the room in the exact positions Zorat had envisioned.

The mana lamps appeared attached to the four corners of the rooms, illuminating the rooms in their warm glow....

Then came the murals and artistic pieces he had appropriated from the guest rooms. They appeared, including their stands and attachments, at appealing locations all over both rooms and attached to the walls, too.

Next came the carpets and futons, along with the large mattresses, positioned luxuriously in both rooms, turning the underground into a warm and cozy space.....

and by the time Zorat was done, both rooms looked only a little different from the two royal guest rooms he had raided the night before.

Zorat grinned in satisfaction, looking at his work.

There was also the possibility of one of the royals coming upon this space and linking him to the plunder of the main palace, but he could always blame it all on Victor, saying this was his hideout all along.

He doubted anybody would suspect the weak hero of item box in the first place.

After all, it’s the Malverins who are known for possessing earth manipulation abilities, though, nowhere close to this level, it was still the only logical conclusion.

Moreover, this was only a temporary space to be used at his convenience.

Zorat then went and invited both ladies down the new underground staircase, and the expressions on their faces were priceless.

Even Myrra, who already knew some of what Zorat was capable of, had her mouth open wide in astonishment.

Zorat gave a simple, ’it’s just a small little thing I can do’ explanation, and both ladies soon delightedly began running through both rooms and exploring everything in amazement.

Florielle might have seen such fancy decorations but had never really indulged in them since she was only a maidservant....

Whereas Myrra was seeing such opulence and extravagance for the first time, and they both frolicked about both rooms like overstimulated teenagers.

Zorat also impressed upon them to keep the existence of this space quiet unless necessary, and that they would mostly still be using the cabin space up there unless ’privacy’ is required, to which both nodded in understanding.

After spending a few more minutes tiring themselves out going through the new underground accommodations, both ladies and Zorat returned to the surface as they both resumed their duties.

As Zorat was just about to get some deserved mental rest, he caught the appearance of an approaching guest....

However, this guest wasn’t the one he was expecting.
