Help! I Think We Summoned A Demon King
Chapter 114: I Think We Might Be In Trouble
Zorat now understood how the royals, most especially the enforcers, who never leave the palace grounds, manage to carry on raising their levels.
The dungeon before him was on a different level than the catacombs of Permafrost.
For one, there was no such barrier preventing entry at the catacombs of permafrost until a choice is made.
And two, the recommended level was set at a staggering sixty-one.
Meaning, only a handful of people are qualified to go in, and anyone who has not stepped into the paragon realm would essentially be stepping into their graves if they were to venture inside.
Zorat began to wonder whether every other kingdom’s royal families had such sealed dungeons buried beneath their palaces, or whether the palaces had been built around these convenient structures.
There was also the fact that he had heard no one make mention of the existence of such sealed dungeons since he arrived in this world. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Which would mean it was the gated knowledge of the royals, and perhaps the holy sea as well, since they are the most influential power in this world.
Even the creation of the space was just as impressive, and has most definitely been here since the arrangement of this world.
Zorat was working on a theory that the world was probably designed with both sealed and open dungeons in place, but those with power laid claim to the sealed and most valuable ones for leveling while still indirectly controlling the open ones on their territory.
The intention of the dimensional being in charge of making this all possible still boggles Zorat.....
Why grant them the means to get strong so quickly, but in doing so, blind everyone to the true path to power?
There could only be one dimensional being per dimension, so as far as that dimensional being is concerned, there would never be any challenge to their power.....
So he wondered why they would stifle the growth of the species in their dimension to only the transcendent realm with all of these convenient crutches.
Either way, such a place was most beneficial to Zorat. Though he couldn’t farm the dungeon yet, considering his currently accessible most lethal attack move was only at the early stage of the Paragon Realm.....
He would have to advance his physical realm or improve his stats to be comparable to those at the master realm at least, because by then, he would be able to channel power up to the early stages of even the transcendent realm.....
And his return here would be just to reap this dungeon of all it can offer, and Zorat thought he might as well hunt for every other location with sealed dungeons on this level.
But when he considered that ancestor figure still lingering at the half-step transcendence after so many years, that his physical body’s time was even starting to run out.....
Zorat realized this sealed dungeon might not be able to bring normal denizens across that threshold, or using any other means for that matter, since the barriers at paragon and transcendence are insanely difficult to cross.... For the denizens, that is.
But for heroes ?. those with insane levels of growth and advancement speeds ?. Zorat was positive that if he, or any of his fellow heroes, were to use this location to level up when they had sufficient levels, reaching transcendence would only be a matter of time.
With this thought, Zorat also considered another possibility, that these royals might actually be keeping the existence of this sealed dungeon a secret until the heroes reached the necessary levels in strength to challenge them safely....
Considering there have been other heroes before, the details of which are still vague at best.
Zorat could still tell that the royals were quite sincere about wanting their heroes to become strong, so it stands to reason that this place might be disclosed to the heroes later down the road.
But why keep it so secret in the first place, and only use it to nurture the royal enforcers and other royals ?.
And when Zorat takes into account the greed of humans being just as potent as that of demons... he was more inclined to believe this place had always been kept secret, even from the previous generations of heroes.
Not anymore. Hehehe...
With his present business done inside the royal wing and having satisfied his curiosity, Zorat began to make his way out of the royal wing without thinking of looking into anything else, since he was at his mental strength limit.
But as he arrived at a more frequented zone, he saw royal guards running around frantically and zapping in and out of the royal wing with some worriedly whispering in hushed tones among themselves.
So, they’ve discovered my work....hehehehe...
Grinning in satisfaction, Zorat didn’t even bother remaining behind like before to observe what unfolded, not with him already pushing his mental strength to the limit.....
He also couldn’t switch to mana, that would instantly give his position away. So, he continued on his way out of the main palace, ignoring everything else.

"How is that even possible, father ?!"
Standing in the center of a massive, luxurious room, King Hellion Starfall looked incredulous as he regarded a veiled figure standing next to him.
Though he appeared highly distressed and troubled, there was still a deep-seated respect in his tone as he addressed this person.
"I... I don’t know.... I can’t even tell you what happened..."
"I turned.... And it was all just.... All gone!" The veiled figure responded dejectedly as he shook his head from side to side.
This person is Ebselon Starfall. The previous king before Helion.
Ebselon was at the utmost peak of the paragon realm, just like the other enforcers, though, because of his talent, he was by far the strongest, except for their ancestor that is.
Their ancestor, who was currently seated quietly at the head of the large table in the room, had the foresight to assign him the mission of guarding the newly acquired treasures from the inside of the vault....
which he at first thought was overkill, considering all they already had in place....
But he had been so wrong in his judgment, and even with him securing the inside of the vault quite vigilantly for that matter....
He had not even felt the wind shift, only to turn around to find everything he was charged with securing had vanished into thin air.
"Honored Ancestor...." the veiled Ebselon intoned as he turned to the Ancestor seated up front, before adding solemnly.
"I think we might be in trouble!"
