Has Big Shot Fallen in Love Today?
Chapter 701: Drunk Sheng Tang
Before the meal, Sheng Tang sent Mrs. Ding a WeChat message, thanking her for coming over today.
Halfway through the gathering, she got drunk.
Her agent didn’t attend the opening ceremony this time either, they were off finding new job opportunities for her; and her assistant, Ai’ai, had gone back to her hometown due to some issues a few days ago and would only return the day after tomorrow.
She was drunk and there was no one to support her.
Luckily, she was staying at the hotel nearby tonight.
After joining the crew, Sheng Tang usually moved into the hotel provided by the production team to avoid wasting time commuting back and forth.
For a female actress, maintaining a good state requires exercise first and foremost, and adequate sleep secondly. Now, with advanced aesthetic medicine, her skin condition could be taken care of through medical beauty treatments, but exercise and sleep certainly helped her mental state.
The greater the benefits in this industry, the greater the pressure. Without a good mental state, a person would slowly crumble, and eventually, their overall condition would decline.
Sheng Tang moved to the hotel to get more sleep every day.
After the gathering, Zheng Weiwei helped her back to the room.
She was very disciplined; even when drunk, she knew she hadn’t said anything inappropriate. She couldn’t control her legs, but she could control her thoughts.
After Zheng Weiwei left, Sheng Tang vomited in the bathroom and then took a hot shower.
This only made her feel even more intoxicated.
After lying down, she couldn’t sleep, feeling that something was off.
So she glanced at her phone.
The time shown was seven minutes past midnight. Sheng Tang still dialed Gu Jiahui’s phone number.
Tonight, she wanted to break her routine and return to a familiar place.
The call went through, and she heard a voice say "Hello?"
"...Can you come get me? The hotel bed is very uncomfortable," Sheng Tang said, "I want to go back."
There was a moment of silence on the other end.
"Come pick me up, please," she pleaded pitifully.
As soon as she said that, the other side immediately agreed: "Okay."
Sheng Tang kept waiting.
She couldn’t sleep, feeling uncomfortable all over, something was definitely wrong.
When she heard the knock on the door, she got up right away.
She was stunned by who was outside.
It was actually Gu Shiting.
Yet after a closer look, it seemed to be Gu Jiahui again. She was truly too drunk tonight.
She was picked up and carried out of the hotel.
In the car, Sheng Tang finally started to feel a little better.
The car hadn’t been driving for long before she was carried out again and brought back to a room.
There was a constant buzzing sound, but surprisingly, she felt a sense of comfort. What truly disturbed her was her damp hair.
Only now did she realize.
Once her hair was dried, her entire body felt relaxed.
She rolled onto the bed and said to Gu Jiahui, "I’m going to sleep now, you can go. Just don’t get on the bed, don’t take advantage of me."
Gu Jiahui, however, stood still.
After a long while, he bent down and kissed her lightly on the lips.
Sheng Tang annoyedly pushed him away.
She hadn’t really opened her eyes, the light hurting her eyes.
The lights in the room were turned off.
The bed sank slightly, and Gu Jiahui lay down beside her, skillfully holding her tightly in his arms.
The next day, Sheng Tang woke up at around four in the morning.
She awoke from thirst.
She tried to turn on the bedside lamp but couldn’t find the switch for a long time.
Having completely sobered up, Sheng Tang suddenly sat up.
The room had the curtains drawn, with only faint light coming through. Following the faint glow from the switch, she found it and turned on the light.
"Where am I?" she suddenly broke out in a cold sweat.
This was not her room.
