Harem Startup : The Demon Billionaire is on Vacation
Chapter 840: My Dimension, My Rules
Chapter 840 – My Dimension, My Rules
Yue twisted mid-air, water spiraling around her form like armor, lightning dancing along its surface.
She didn’t move like someone who had been imprisoned for five centuries.
She moved like something ancient finally allowed to stretch.
Her silver hair flared outward as wind gathered beneath her feet. A flick of her wrist summoned a blade of compressed water so thin it sang. The first assassin lunged from her left, blade angled toward her ribs.
She rotated effortlessly.
The water blade slid through his shoulder joint.
Clean.
Precise.
Not dramatic.
Blood followed a second later.
He screamed as his arm separated mid-air, tumbling with the detached limb before crashing into stone.
Lux didn’t intervene.
He watched.
Arms loose at his sides. Wings half-folded.
Evaluating.
’She’s not raw power,’ he assessed. ’She’s controlled devastation.’
Another assassin dove from above, twin daggers spinning in a killing arc. Yue stepped into the attack instead of away from it. Water condensed around her elbow. She drove it upward like a spear.
It punched through the assassin’s abdomen.
He froze mid-strike, mouth opening in silent shock.
Lightning crackled.
His body convulsed violently as electricity surged through the impalement point.
She ripped her arm sideways.
He split open.
The cavern floor darkened with blood.
Rava exhaled low. "Oh."
Naomi swallowed but didn’t look away.
Lux’s lips curved faintly.
The remaining four assassins adjusted formation instantly, sigils flaring brighter. Black authority threads extended between them again, reinforcing speed and reflex synchronization.
Varus barked an order.
They moved in a coordinated spiral.
Two high, one low, Varus center, one rear channel.
They aimed not to overpower...
To overwhelm.
Yue rose higher, wind snapping beneath her feet. She conjured a rotating disk of water around her torso, lightning layered through it like a spinning saw.
The first blade struck it...
The assassin’s wrist disintegrated.
The water shield didn’t just block.
It shredded.
He tried to retreat.
Yue extended her fingers slightly.
The water disk expanded outward.
It bisected him across the waist. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Lux’s eyes sharpened slightly.
’Good radius control.’
The rear-channel assassin completed his incantation.
A spike of condensed sovereign shadow shot forward, aimed directly at Yue’s blind spot.
She turned...
But not fast enough.
The spike grazed her side, tearing through flesh.
Silver hair flicked with the motion.
Blood, bright and startling against pale skin, spattered.
Lux’s jaw tightened.
She didn’t scream.
She smiled.
Then she snapped her fingers.
The cavern’s residual moisture condensed instantly around the channeler’s throat.
He clawed at invisible pressure.
Water forced down his lungs.
His scream turned to gurgling silence.
He collapsed.
Varus hissed in frustration.
Only three remained now.
They split again.
This time one of them feinted high, blade flashing toward Yue’s neck while Varus lunged low.
She parried the high strike.
Varus slipped beneath her guard.
His blade angled upward...
Too clean.
Too precise.
Too close.
Lux moved before he consciously decided to.
The ring pulsed.
[Spatial Law Adjustment: Gravity Vector Altered.]
The floor beneath Varus shifted.
Not visibly.
But enough.
His footing misaligned by a fraction.
His upward strike veered one inch off-target.
That inch saved her ribcage.
Varus landed and spun, eyes snapping to Lux.
"You."
Lux smirked lazily. "My dimension." Lux tilted his head slightly. "My rules."
That was all he said.
He moved.
Wings snapped outward.
Agility surged.
He crossed the distance in a blink.
No theatrics.
No announcement.
Just violence.
His first strike didn’t aim to wound.
It aimed to destabilize.
He kicked the nearest assassin square in the chest, demonic energy detonating on impact. Ribs cracked audibly. The man flew backward, slamming into stone.
Lux teleported mid-motion.
Reappeared behind him.
Twin daggers materialized in his hands.
He stabbed down through the collarbone and into the heart.
Pulled upward.
Blood sprayed.
No hesitation.
No flourish.
Brutal.
Efficient.
Varus and the last assassin lunged simultaneously toward Lux.
Yue intercepted one.
Her water blade locked with his shadow edge.
Their clash detonated in a violent burst of steam and lightning.
Lux met Varus head-on.
Blades collided.
Sparks flew.
Varus was strong.
Level 243 wasn’t ornamental.
Their strikes came fast.
Lux’s style was nothing like Yue’s.
Where she flowed...
He cut.
Where she deflected...
He crushed.
Varus feinted left, then drove a knee toward Lux’s abdomen.
Lux absorbed the impact, grunted, then headbutted him without warning.
Varus staggered half a step.
Lux didn’t waste it.
He twisted, tail whipping around to knock Varus’s legs out from under him.
The assassin rolled mid-fall, blade slashing upward.
Lux teleported half a meter sideways.
The blade missed.
Barely.
Lux reappeared mid-spin and slammed his dagger across Varus’s forearm.
Tendons parted.
The blade dropped.
Varus didn’t scream.
He lunged with his remaining hand, shadow forming a dagger.
Lux caught the wrist.
Squeezed.
Bone cracked.
Then he drove his knee into Varus’s face.
Cartilage shattered.
Blood splattered across Lux’s cheek.
He shoved him backward violently.
Yue finished her opponent with a lightning-charged thrust straight through the chest.
She turned.
In time to see Lux step into Varus’s space again.
"Still think I’m dumb?" Lux asked conversationally.
Varus spat blood.
"You’re reckless."
Lux smiled.
"Accurate."
Then he drove both daggers into Varus’s abdomen and ripped outward.
Authority threads snapped violently.
The sigil on Varus’s chest flared.
Then dimmed.
His body fell.
The final assassin attempted to flee.
Yue lifted her hand.
Water coiled around his legs mid-air, dragging him down.
Lux Teleported above him.
He landed hard on the man’s back.
Drove one dagger cleanly through the base of his skull.
Silence fell.
Heavy.
Final.
Six bodies lay scattered across stone.
Blood pooled in uneven patterns.
Steam rose faintly where lightning had burned through flesh.
Yue stood beside Lux now.
Side by side.
Her breathing steady.
His slightly heavier, but controlled.
She glanced at him.
He glanced at her.
Their eyes met.
No words for a second.
They had moved together without instruction.
Adjusted without coordination.
Her elegance.
His brutality.
It had... fit.
Lux wiped blood from his jaw with the back of his hand.
"Well," he said lightly, "that escalated."
Yue’s lips curved faintly.
"You are dangerous."
Lux shrugged.
"I try."
