Global Awakening: Infinite Gift Pack System
Chapter 245: The Last Gifts and the Journey to Cameron
"Incredible... So we really have status like the Foreign Survivors."
"This is amazing... Our name, health, and other stats are listed. It’s something I didn’t even know I had."
"Status Crystal... This thing must be expensive."
"I wonder if I have a Title. Wait... How do we even get one?"
"This looked so mystical."
"How is that thing working? Wait... His health is low... You need to eat more!"
The local survivors, including Vera and others, had never seen the status crystal. They just followed Kai’s instructions, and as soon as they saw the
As expected, the Level 5 Survivors had one Gene Skill at the very least. They must’ve used Gene Enhancement Serums to reach this level, which shouldn’t be that surprising anymore.
Just like that, Kai continued to check the others with the Status Crystal.
The next was a thin man with weary eyes. He still looked malnourished at his point but he was able to smile at him.
[ Name: Randel ]
[ Title: None ]
[ Level: 5 ]
[ Health: 70 / 130 ]
[ Spirit: 55 / 55 ]
[ Physique Rating: E ]
[ Active Skills: None ]
[ Passive Skills: Stone Endurance Lv0 ]
[ Stone Endurance (Level 0): Slightly increases resistance to fatigue when working with heavy loads. Provides minor tolerance against blunt force impacts. ]
Kai nodded faintly. "Useful for labor, but not combat."
Just like that, several more people got checked, and most of them were level 3 and level 4 individuals. It means that they do not have any Gene Skills whatsoever.
As for the children, it was quite expected, but they were all just level one with average Health and Spirit Points.
Then, as Kai thought that there weren’t any more skilled individuals, another woman stepped forward with her hands trembling as she touched the crystal.
[ Name: Emiru ]
[ Title: None ]
[ Level: 5 ]
[ Health: 50 / 110 ]
[ Spirit: 50 / 50 ]
[ Physique Rating: E‑ ]
[ Active Skills: None ]
[ Passive Skills: Herbal Sense Lv0 ]
[ Herbal Sense (Level 0): Improves ability to identify medicinal plants. Slightly increases efficiency when preparing basic remedies. ]
"Herbal Sense, huh..." Kai gently nodded as he saw this. He could only guess that she was Vera’s assistant in making those booster potions. Well, it shouldn’t be surprising to have a helper or two.
"Very well..."
He could only take note of her as she would certainly be helpful, considering how his shelters were growing.
In any case, there were a few more locals, but once again, they were just Level 1 to Level 4 individuals with no Gene Skills whatsoever.
After the Status Checking session...
He was ready to leave... However, he noticed that they actually lacked the firepower to protect themselves against a serious raid.
Well, he didn’t want this shelter to be in shambles once he returned to get the potions.
Since food was solved for at least a month if they ration carefully, and water was already somewhat resolved thanks to the atmospheric water generators, he might as well fix the problem with their firepower.
They needed weapons!
’If we leave them like this, this shelter could be overrun and filled with corpses before we return.’
He turned to Vera and Steven.
"I can give you some weapons. You can pay for them later."
The two exchanged surprised glances. "Weapons?" Steven asked.
Kai nodded. "I can see that right now, you’re relying on crossbows, spears, and slingshots. And I noticed you have rifles taken from Sentinels, but you don’t have enough ammunition. And those five plasma rifles... they only have two or three shots left each. That’s not enough."
The survivors listened intently and nodded.
Kai raised his hand, activating his Infinite Gift Pack system once more.
[ Weapon Gift Pack (Enhanced)
Contents: semi‑automatic handgun with spare magazines, axe, combat knife, extra ammunition, tactical holster. ]
He opened five Enhanced Weapon Gift Packs.
Just like that, crates appeared, each containing a Beretta M9 semi‑automatic handgun with spare magazines and extra ammunition. Alongside them were axes, combat knives, and tactical holsters.
The survivors gasped as the weapons were distributed. The handguns looked so precious!
They were far superior to their crude slingshots and worn spears. The axes replaced their old, chipped blades, while the combat knives gave them reliable close‑combat options.
Kai wasn’t finished. He then withdrew two Superior Weapon Gift Packs.
[ Weapon Gift Pack (Superior)
Contents: carbine rifle with spare magazines, shotgun with shell packs, spear, combat knife, protective vest, grenade launcher with smoke and fragmentation rounds, and extra ammunition crates. ]
Two large crates materialized, and when opened, the locals nearly shouted in excitement. Carbine rifles with spare magazines, shotguns with shell packs, and protective vests were handed out. The grenade launchers, complete with smoke and fragmentation rounds, were carefully explained by Kai himself.
The extra ammunition crates were stacked neatly, ensuring that the rifles and shotguns wouldn’t run dry anytime soon.
Then, Kai decided to give their first Stealth Gift Pack.
[ Stealth Gift Pack (Superior)
Contents: advanced camouflage gear, thermal detection goggles, portable disruptor field unit, flashbang grenades, decoy emitter device, and sensor‑disrupting smoke grenades ]
This way, they would be aware of how awesome it was and they’d think of purchasing these as well.
The atmosphere shifted instantly.
The survivors held the weapons with trembling hands as if they were afraid to damage them...
Vera soon clutched her new handgun... "With these... we can actually fight back."
Steven strapped on a protective vest immediately and laughed. "Thank you, Guild Leader! We will be paying for these! I promise! We also won’t let this shelter fall. Not anymore."
Kai looked over them all, satisfied. Now they have a chance. If raiders or Sentinels come, they’ll be able to fight back at the very least.
With the shelter secured, Kai and his team prepared to leave.
Soon, the Dragoons roared to life with their engines echoing across the Blue Grass Shelter.
The locals gathered at the entrance, waving and cheering.
"Thank you, Codebreakers!"
"Safe travels!"
With that, the six of them... Kai, Mei, Alfie, Claire, Farrah, and Ralph, drove their Dragoons out of the Blue Grass Shelter, heading toward Cameron City!
