Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence
Chapter 376 - 340: Snatching Food from the Dragon’s Mouth
The Black King’s roar was the horn of war.
The moment the dragon’s roar echoed, Raylo issued a decisive command.
"Sun, the Black Dragon is yours!"
"Ed, Marlin, take out that Dogman Wizard! Don’t let him interfere with me!"
"We grab it and we’re gone!"
In war, speed is everything.
"ROAR!"
The Golden Dragon Sun let out a soaring roar, its massive body transforming into a golden meteor that tore across the sky as it charged straight for the Black King.
It had been waiting for this moment for a long time.
A flicker of savagery crossed the Black King’s molten eyes. It didn’t retreat; instead, it charged forward to meet Sun.
Eternal Night Abyssal Domain!
In an instant, with the Black King at its center, half the sky was tainted by an inky darkness. Light was twisted and devoured, and even sound seemed to be sucked in as all fell into a deathly silence.
Eternal night had descended prematurely.
"Hmph!"
Sun let out a contemptuous snort, and every single Dragon Scale on its golden body erupted with a blinding light.
Solar Furnace!
A scorching, incomparably domineering Domain spread out in direct opposition.
The other half of the sky was rendered in pure daylight. The air burned with a CRACKLING sound, and a terrifying heat descended like an invisible Giant Hammer, smashing down upon the Eternal Night Abyssal.
Night and day clashed violently in the sky above, each eroding the other.
There was no earth-shattering explosion, only the grating sound of annihilation that set one’s teeth on edge.
Along the border between light and dark, space rippled like glass, the result of two Domain Level Powerhouses clashing with their most fundamental Power.
While the Domains of the two Giant Dragons tore the sky in half, the Dogman Legion on the ground began to charge under the shrill command of the Wizard.
Thousands of mutated Dogmen brandished their crude Weapons, their eyes flashing with a bloodthirsty red light. They surged like a black tide toward the Dragon Blood Ancient Tree on the high ground, forming an impenetrable defensive line.
"Leave it to us!"
Ed roared as he and Master Marlin rode the Thunderboltous Griffin King into a dive.
Just then, a silver light flashed in the pale-gold eyes of Moonlight, perched on Raylo’s shoulder.
A cool stream of Magic Power flowed out from the creature, infusing both Baofeng, Raylo’s mount, and the Thunderboltous Griffin King that Ed was riding.
In the next instant, a marvelous sight unfolded.
Beside the two Griffin Kings, Magic Elements began to converge violently.
A doppelgänger of Baofeng, formed from howling gales and cyan Magic Power, and another of the Thunderboltous Griffin King, composed of leaping arcs of Lightning and Thunderbolt, condensed out of thin air.
They let out identical roars, beat their wings, and took to the air, charging straight into the dense volley of arrows and Short Spears from the Dogmen below.
Thunderbolt and storm exploded within the Dogman ranks, instantly blasting two clearings of blood and gore into their formation.
In the chaos, Ed and Marlin locked onto the Dogman Wizard. They relentlessly bombarded the creature with sharp waves of Fighting Spirit and destructive barrages of Magic, giving it no time to muster an effective Defense Technique.
The moment had come!
Raylo squeezed his legs, and the Storm Griffin King, Baofeng, let out a piercing cry. With a single beat of its wings, it became a streak of tawny lightning, bypassing the main battlefield of the two Giant Dragons and shooting straight for the Dragon Blood Ancient Tree on the high ground.
The sweet fragrance of the fruit filled the air, a rich and intoxicating aroma that seemed to make every pore of his body sing with joy.
The Dragon’s Blood Fruit was ripe.
"ROAR!"
The Black King, locked in a struggle with Sun, noticed Raylo’s approach and let out a furious roar.
It snapped its maw open, and its Dragon Breath shot out like a black pillar of death, crossing the boundary of its Domain to strike precisely at Raylo.
The speed of the Dragon Breath was beyond imagination, making it nearly impossible to dodge.
However, just an instant before the Dragon Breath could hit, Coal Ball, who had been resting in Raylo’s arms, moved.
Space Magic Power erupted from its tiny body, and an invisible ripple instantly enveloped Raylo and Baofeng beneath him.
Space distorted.
Raylo and Baofeng vanished on the spot. The black Dragon Breath shot past where they had just been, completely leveling a distant hill.
The next moment, Raylo reappeared within the massive canopy of the Dragon Blood Ancient Tree, a mere dozen meters from one of the fruits.
Without the slightest hesitation, Raylo drew his Divine Weapon, Broken Flow.
A cold glint of light flashed from the blade.
"SWISH!"
The thick branch holding the first Dragon’s Blood Fruit was severed.
Raylo reached out, and with a surge of Fighting Spirit, pulled the fruit—which was the size of a human head and as brilliant as a red ruby—firmly into his hand.
A vast yet gentle wave of Life Energy pulsed from the fruit. Raylo could feel his own Life Force surge in that instant.
"ROAR!"
Seeing one of its Treasures stolen, the Black King went completely berserk.
It desperately pushed its Eternal Night Abyssal Domain to its limits, trying to completely suppress Sun, but Sun was not about to yield.
Blazing Flames surged across its golden body as its Sun Furnace Domain flared to full power. Like a true sun, it held the Black King firmly in place.
Every swipe of its golden claws left a shower of blinding sparks and deep gouges on the Black King’s Dragon Armor.
"Baofeng, to the next one!"
Raylo tossed the fruit to Coal Ball behind him. Coal Ball opened its mouth, which seemed like a bottomless pit, and swallowed the Dragon’s Blood Fruit in one gulp, stowing it away in its Dimension Space.
Baofeng understood instantly. Its massive Iron Feather wings wove nimbly through the lush branches, a storm swirling around its body to sweep away the scattered attacks from the Dogmen below as it swiftly lunged for the second fruit.
