Chapter 282: Chapter 276: Obtaining the Divine Weapon

The Magic Bubble sheltering Raylo was like a candle in the wind, twisting and contorting violently. Spiderweb-like cracks appeared on its surface, threatening to shatter it completely at any moment.

Raylo’s expression hardened. He was about to forcefully shatter the bubble and withstand the pressure with his Fighting Spirit.

Just at this critical moment, Coal Ball, who was perched on his left shoulder, suddenly moved.

A flash of anxiety appeared in the large, black, gemstone-like eyes of the inconspicuous Space Young Dragon.

Obscure spatial fluctuations pulsed from its body as it waved a tiny claw forward.

HUM!

Raylo’s vision blurred. The chaotic, violent underwater world around him vanished in an instant, replaced by a violently shaking sky and a deafening roar in his ears.

He was now on the surface of the lake.

But at this moment, Amber Lake could no longer be called a lake.

In the center of the lake, a massive vortex over a kilometer in diameter was spinning madly.

Colossal waves, dozens of meters high, were being thrown up, crashing and roaring against each other like rampaging Giant Beasts.

The entire surface of the lake seemed to be boiling. Fierce winds mixed with water vapor, forming a localized rainstorm.

Lillian had long since retreated with the Knights to a hillside several kilometers away, staring dumbfounded at the apocalyptic scene.

"Brother!"

Lillian cried out in alarm, her heart leaping into her throat.

Raylo’s figure was in the middle of those raging waves, enveloped in a transparent bubble. He bobbed up and down with the monstrous waves, looking as if he could be swallowed up at any second.

"Nice teleport, Coal Ball. I’ll give you an extra treat when we get back."

Raylo patted the little guy’s head. Coal Ball immediately let out a cheerful cry and rubbed its head against his cheek, looking smug as if to say, ’Hurry up and praise me!’

Raylo took a deep breath, looked up at the sky, and let out a long cry that seemed to pierce the clouds and crack stone.

"Baofeng!"

"KREEE!"

A clear, sharp cry filled with battle intent answered his call from within the clouds.

A streak of tawny lightning tore through the wind and rain. It was his mount, the Storm Griffin King, Baofeng.

Its massive Iron Feathers rustled in the fierce wind. With a beat of its wings, it dove downward.

Baofeng showed not a trace of fear. It anticipated the rise and fall of every massive wave, its enormous body weaving nimbly through the gaps in the surf like a masterful dancer.

It flew close to the nearly vertical walls of water, the spray dampening its feathers, but its gaze remained resolute.

In the instant one wave fell and the next had yet to crash down, Baofeng’s giant form swept past Raylo.

’Now’s the time!’

Raylo leaped, and the bubble shattered behind him.

His hand precisely grabbed onto Baofeng’s massive claws, which were as hard and powerful as steel.

Baofeng let out a long cry and powerfully flapped its wings upward, unleashing a powerful gust of air.

Raylo felt a Giant Strength pull him as he was instantly lifted from the raging water’s surface, soaring toward the sky.

The wind howled in his ears, and the boiling lake surface was below his feet.

Raylo ascended hundreds of meters into the air and looked down.

The battle between the two Giant Beasts had reached a fever pitch.

The Abyssal Snake-necked Dragon’s long neck displayed incredible flexibility and Power, continuously trying to coil around, slam into, and bite the Eternal Giant Turtle.

The Eternal Giant Turtle, however, stood as firm as a mountain. Each of its counterattacks was heavy and powerful, stirring the very Laws at the bottom of the lake.

Every one of their collisions kicked up even more terrifying waves on the surface.

Amber Lake, an inland lake famous for its peace and beauty, had truly met with disaster today.

Raylo landed steadily on Baofeng’s broad back. The cold rain, mixed with the spray from the lake, hit his face, instantly clearing his head.

He wiped the water from his face with the back of his hand, his gaze locked on the lake below that had turned into a battlefield.

High in the sky, the wind howled, but it couldn’t disperse the terrifying might radiating from the two battling Domain Level Giant Beasts.

Amber Lake’s former tranquility had been utterly shattered.

The water was no longer a clear amber color, but a murky yellow, mixed with silt and blood.

In the lake’s center, the massive vortex was still greedily swallowing everything. And at the vortex’s edge, two titans straight out of mythology were engaged in the most primal, savage collisions.

The Abyssal Snake-necked Dragon’s hundred-meter-long neck had now become the world’s most deadly whip.

Every time it swung, it was accompanied by a shriek that could tear space, lashing viciously against the Eternal Giant Turtle’s island-like shell.

Its Sharp Teeth tore mercilessly, trying to find any weakness in that indestructible defense.

The Eternal Giant Turtle, on the other hand, chose the simplest and most effective response.

Its massive body was as solid as a rock, its four limbs rooted deep in the lakebed, unmovable by even the most ferocious winds and waves.

Domain Power coalesced around it, and most of the force from each of the Snake-necked Dragon’s attacks was deflected by this heavy Power of the Earth.

Its counterattacks were just as simple and brutal. Each swing of its heavy claws carried the weight of a Law, churning the water and forcing the Abyssal Snake-necked Dragon to temporarily retreat.

This soul-stirring battle lasted for nearly an hour.

Time itself seemed to stretch out amidst the roars of the Giant Beasts.

In the distance, Lillian and the Knights had recovered from their initial shock, but their faces remained fraught with gravity.

A battle of this level was far beyond their ability to interfere.

Raylo could clearly sense that the Abyssal Snake-necked Dragon’s aura was slowly weakening.

The Giant Beast, having just awoken from a long slumber, had clearly not yet returned to its Peak state. Its stamina and Magic Power were being massively consumed by the long, high-intensity battle.

In contrast, while the Eternal Giant Turtle was also wounded, with several clear cracks on its shell, its aura was deep and steady. The advantage of its defense was on full display in a battle of attrition.

Finally, the two Giant Beasts surfaced together, continuing their struggle in the boiling lake water.

Their movements were no longer as earth-shattering as before, but every bite and every impact seemed even more vicious, more deadly.

Just then, a golden light shot out from beneath their struggle without any warning!

"SPLASH!"

The boiling lake surface was forcibly split open by a brilliant figure, sending water exploding to either side to form a spectacular white wall of water.

The Golden Dragon Sun!

Its hundred-meter-long body shone with a sacred radiance under the sunlight, and every single Dragon Scale seemed to be forged from pure gold.

With a beat of its wings, it stirred up a violent current of air and flew straight toward Raylo high in the sky.

Raylo’s gaze was instantly drawn to Sun’s enormous dragon claws.

Clutched tightly within them was a Long Sword, still in its scabbard.

Sun flew up beside Baofeng, its massive draconic head lowering slightly, a hint of pride in its golden eyes.

It loosened its claws, and the unadorned Long Sword flew toward Raylo.

Raylo reached out and caught it steadily in his hand.

The Long Sword felt slightly heavy in his hand. A strange sensation, as if they were connected by blood, traveled up his arm and through his entire body.

The scabbard was made of some unknown ancient wood. It had no ornate carvings, only the mottled traces left by the passage of time, yet beneath its simplicity was an indescribable spiritual quality.

His gaze fell upon the hilt, where two words were engraved in the common tongue.

"Broken Flow."

Raylo’s heart skipped a beat.

He gripped the hilt, a warm and smooth sensation at his fingertips.

Following his intent, he slowly drew the sword halfway from its scabbard.

"SHING!"

A clear ring from the blade echoed out, like a glacier shattering, or a dragon’s cry piercing the heavens.

A biting, cold gleam of light instantly bloomed.

The light was not blazing, yet it was so sharp it felt as if it could sever a person’s very gaze.

Even the flowing wind around it seemed to be cut by its sharp edge.

The blade was about three fingers wide, as clear as a pool of autumn water and bright enough to reflect a person’s image. Faint, wave-like patterns seemed to flow along its streamlined body, its sharp edge fully exposed.

Just by holding it, Raylo could feel an invisible sharpness emanating from the blade, creating a strange resonance with the Fighting Spirit inside his body.

’A Divine Weapon!’

’This is definitely a Divine Weapon, far beyond the realm of an ordinary Magic Weapon!’

A wave of irrepressible excitement surged up from the bottom of his heart, rushing straight to his head.

Overcome with joy, Raylo tilted his head back and let out a long cry to the heavens!
