As he placed his hand on the wall, a hidden doorway swung open, revealing a secret red room.
A primal desire washed over him as he stepped inside. Kayla, elegant in her throne-like chair, wore a seductive smile. Her crossed legs and lingerie-clad body commanded attention, exuding a charm potent enough to ensnare any man. šš»šš®ššššš¤š«š®š.š¬šš¢
But his gaze drifted past her, landing on the slender blonde standing in the center of the room. Her bowed head and trembling posture stirred something deeper inside him. Since he tasted his secretary, his appetite for the innocent looking ones had increased. When you get to know them, theyāre usually the wildest in bed. Though, he doubted anyone could permanently replace Catherine anytime soon.
Clad in a short robe, hints of the blondeās bare skin peeked through the gaps, teasing his senses. He swallowed hard, feeling a rush of warmness in his groin.
Where did his fiancĆ©e keep finding such captivating beauties? No doubt this was part of the threesome sheād promised.
"This doll needs our help, darling," Kaylaās sultry voice broke the tantalizing silence. "Her sisterās in the hospital. Sheās willing to do anything to get the money for her treatment."
She smacked her gum, the sound sharp and irritating. "Pathetic, isnāt it?"
Christian approached the girl with deliberate, measured steps, his mind running wild with the possibilities of what he could do to her.
Yet even as every cell in his body responded, a strange tightness curled in his lower abdomenāa discomfort heād started noticing more often during arousal. There was also the nausea, the fatigue he kept brushing off. It had to be stress. What else could it be?
He brushed a few strands of hair from her face, revealing a look of nervous desperation.
"Please," she whispered, "I havenāt done this before."
"Mm... Are you sure about that, sweetheart?" he murmured into her ear, letting her feel his breath.
She gave a slow nod, her breathing shallow and quick.
The thought of being the first to corrupt her sent a sharper thrill through him. The more untouched she was, the sweeter the conquest.
"I find you enticing, and you need my money. Thatās fair, isnāt it?" he said, fingers gently tracing the line of her cheek.
She trembled but didnāt resist. Money truly was power.
Her innocence stirred a memory of Ashley. He suddenly regretted not introducing her to this worldāshe wouldāve loved it, just as fiercely as she had once loved him, before Lorenzo came between them. The thought reignited his determination to not give up until heād corrected that mistake.
A sultry melody began to play in the background. Kaylaās wink confirmed she was behind it. He smirked, silently promising to reward her once he was done with the sweet little thing before him.
The blondeās ragged breathing drew his attention again. As he slowly slipped off her robe, red light greeted her bare skin. She was truly beautiful.
He gave a few sharp smacks to her ass, drawing out soft whimpers. Her body tensed under his hand. Was it fearāor did she like it? Either way, he loved the way she responded to every touch.
"First times can be painful, sweetheart," he murmured, soothing the spot heād struck. "But I promise youāll come back wanting more."
Her trembling body, coupled with shaky breaths, was all the response he received, and it only intensified his arousalāknowing that her fear would soon melt into pleasure.
He wanted to take his time, kiss every inch of her pale skin, admire her fullyābut there were other pressing matters demanding his time.
Grasping a handful of her hair, he yanked her head back and bent her over, guiding her hands to grip the pole in front of her. She gasped, and a tear slid down her cheek. He caught it with a slow lick of his tongue.
"Part your pretty legs, darling," he said, teasing her entrance.
"Please..." came her shaky plea.
Was she already too impatient to have him?
"Forgive me, Mom... Dad... I canāt let Annabelle leave me too." She mumbled more words Christian didnāt catch.
But her new position made his eyes darken.
He glanced at Kayla, now lost in her own pleasure, legs parted, fingers working between her thighs as she watched them with hungry eyes. The sight snapped the last thread of restraint he had left.
With a groan, he slammed into the blonde, her loud cry echoing through the room. Gripping her hips tighter, he picked up speed.
She screamed louder.
"Yes, darling. Scream for daddy."
All the frustration from the dayāhis anger at Lorenzo, his failed plans to win Ashley backāhe poured into each thrust. He lived for control, for dominance, for making others tremble beneath him. And now, he had all of that... and more.
But then, as he neared his climax, his breath hitched. For a brief moment, he lost that intoxicating controlāhis body resisting the pleasure it was supposed to feel, replaced by a sharp pain across his shaft. He clenched his jaw and pushed harder, determined to override whatever the hell that was.
By the time he finished, the girl could barely stand. He left her sprawled on the floor and moved to finish with his fiancƩe, as promised.
After returning to the main part of the house and taking a satisfying shower, he transferred a thousand dollars to the girlādouble what she needed. He was feeling generous.
He should have felt satisfied. After all, heād just had a great time with two beautiful women. But the symptoms heād been ignoring crept back into his mind.
It had to be stress. Or maybe just a side effect of the treatment.
Either way, heād have to visit Dr. Bradley soon, he decided, joining a smiling Kayla on the bed. She was on a call but ended it with a quick, "Say hello to Mommy for me."
Christian assumed it was her sister.
Reaching the foot of the bed, his phone pinged.
He ignored itāit was just a notification about trending business news. But then his phone started ringing. When he glanced at the screen again, he saw it was his restaurant manager. His brows furrowed. Why would he be calling at this hour?
He sat on the bed and answered.
The managerās panicked voice boomed in his ear, delivering news that made Christianās heart sink.
Kayla noticed the sudden shift in his expression. Her brows creased with concern as she asked for the second time, "Is something wrong, babe?"
Still no response.
Her own heartbeat quickened.
Christian abruptly hung up, his heart pounding as he opened the notification he had ignored moments ago, his hand slightly unsteady.
He read the headline once. Then again. And again.
"Four out of the seven branches of Harringtonās Bites blacklisted after recent food poisoning reports."
"What?!"
The phone slipped from his grip, crashing to the floor. Beads of sweat dotted his forehead.
Kayla rushed to pick up the phone. Seeing her fiancƩ frozen in shock, she checked the screen herself.
Her breath hitched as she read the same headline. She, too, went still.

Meanwhile, at the Flynn residence...
After arriving, Ashley had asked Lorenzo to wait in the car while she went inside to check on everyoneāespecially Greg and the two security guards recently discharged from the hospital.
While she was still inside, Lorenzo received a call.
"Itās done," the voice on the other end said.
"Good," he replied, a quiet smile curving his lips.
Slipping the phone into his pocket, he pulled out another to check the news. His grin widened at the headlinesāchaos and confusion already beginning to spiral.
By morning, hell would break loose.
Maybe even for him.
A flicker of sadness crossed his features.
He had left a few branches untouchedāhe understood how sentimental a man could be about his first business. Those restaurants were Christianās beginnings, long before he expanded into other industries.
Lorenzo wasnāt completely heartless. He wanted to let him savor what little remainedāwhile it lasted. Soon, every one of those achievements feeding his arrogance would crumble to ash. Bit by bit, until the only thing left standing was the one tied to Grey Group. That, too, he would takeānot to destroy, but to own. Maybe he could even convince Ashley to accept it as compensation for the salaries she was owed. But that depended entirely on how tonight ended between them.
Dialing a number, he waited.
"Boss," a gruff voice answered.
"Get the lawyer on board. Make sure our poisoned clients are pressing charges."
"On it, sir."
He hung up and continued scrolling through the Internet, his smile returning.
Just then, the passenger door opened.
Ashley slid in. His slight jump made her frown in suspicion.
"Whatās that?" she asked, leaning toward him to see the screen.
It was the first time sheād spoken since they left his place.
And yet, Lorenzo couldnāt find his voice.
