Chapter 2015: Chapter 1576: Is It the Mark Left by the Devoured Star Souls?

"Don’t attribute everything to exotic ghosts. Have you ever seen what an exotic ghost looks like? That is the Lord’s Void Sky Curtain, obscuring the void, impenetrable to all things, indestructible..." As Anthony uttered the word "indestructible," he suddenly felt his divine sense tremble abruptly, like sparks flying out.

Looking around suspiciously, he didn’t find any sparks, so he temporarily decided to let it go and continued to bluff: "Hiding under the sky curtain, one can avoid the damage from the information storm. If anything happens outside the curtain’s range, it won’t be related to us."

The same Giant Elephant Star Descendant loudly questioned, "How do we know you aren’t trying to trap us here and then destroy us all together?"

"You don’t need to know. If you don’t trust us, you can leave anytime. Staying here doesn’t require any fee. As for you, since you don’t trust us anyway, we won’t keep you here. Little Angel, drive him away," Anthony said.

The bored Little Angel rushed forward upon hearing this. Previously, when Anthony asked her to hit people, she was somewhat reluctant, but now she eagerly wished Anthony would let her hit more people due to boredom.

Since there was only one target, Little Angel didn’t dare use her full strength, fearing she might accidentally eliminate him. She didn’t even spread her wings, and with empty hands, she charged towards the Giant Elephant Star Descendant.

The Giant Elephant Star Descendant was almost the largest among the Star Descendants, somewhat looking down on such a little one as Little Angel, swinging its trunk to slap at Little Angel.

Star Descendants, though born from the God Star, are basically modeled after consciousness fragments of life species, possibly randomly pieced together, but each part represents a creature that existed in reality.

Whatever shape they take naturally dictates their fighting style—a fish-shaped Star Descendant cannot slap someone with a hand, but can use its tail to whip.

The trunk of the Giant Elephant Star Descendant slammed against Little Angel as if struck by a massive cable, but surprisingly, the trunk exploded and scattered everywhere.

Little Angel merely raised her hand in a blocking gesture, shattering the front end of the trunk. With a leap forward, she jumped onto the truncated trunk and dashed madly along it.

Every place Little Angel passed, footprints ignited, leaving visible marks.

The Giant Elephant Star Descendant panicked, letting out a miserable howl and vigorously swinging its trunk.

But Little Angel seemed to stick to the trunk, unaffected by the shaking, continuing to run towards its head, leaving a trail of Star Flame footprints on the trunk.

In a panic, the Giant Elephant Star Descendant clapped its massive legs together like pillars, aiming to trap Little Angel.

Little Angel didn’t dodge, firmly opening her hands to brace the incoming blow. With a deafening crash, energy collided, and light burst forth.

As the light faded, Little Angel was revealed, supported by the elephant’s legs, with her elbows steady.

Witnessing this scene, everyone realized there was no way the Giant Elephant Star Descendant could defeat Little Angel; the gap between them was too great. Little Angel wasn’t even using her full strength, merely toying with the other.

Eventually, as everyone expected, Little Angel beat the Giant Elephant Star Descendant ’to pieces,’ leaving only a piece of White Crystal.

The piece of White Crystal was clasped in Little Angel’s hand. With a forceful toss, she threw it away to an unknown distance, certainly outside the range of the Void Sky Curtain.

Dissatisfied, Little Angel clapped her hands and turned her gaze to the other Star Descendants. Seeing Little Angel looking their way, they all avoided her gaze, engaging in conversations with each other, pretending to be busy, and saying nothing strange anymore.

Little Angel, feeling bored, kicked and drifted back dejectedly.

Seeing no one causing any more trouble, Anthony flew towards Ange. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Whether causing trouble or not didn’t matter; a bunch of Star Descendants creating a fuss couldn’t affect the overall situation. He simply didn’t want too many of them to be destroyed by the information storm, but if these guys insisted on seeking death, it wouldn’t be his concern.

Arriving at the location of the sky curtain, Anthony saw Ange had extended into a vast shadow, incredibly thin, invisible from the side.

It was indeed invisible from the front as well, but it blocked starlight, so its silhouette could be outlined by the disappearing starlight.

Negris and others also followed, seeing Ange in this form. Negris couldn’t help but reach out and poke, feeling like probing a thin membrane, thinner than the membrane covering the void’s plant sphere.

"Can you pass through it?" Negris said, pressing into the membrane with force.

This action left everyone stunned, exchanging bewildered glances, ultimately turning towards Anthony.

Anthony shook his head quickly; only Negris dared to do this, relying on his ’pet’ status. Anthony wouldn’t dare.

Negris pressed through the membrane but didn’t emerge from the other side. Instead, the view before him blurred, revealing a massive God Star.

The God Star emitted radiant light, infinite heat, with surrounding planes baked red by its brilliance, occasionally showing red light cracks, suggesting magma surges.

This was a young God Star, one Negris had never seen before. Why had he come here? Feeling a bit panicked, he quickly retreated, hoping to exit the way he came.

However, upon retreating, the scene changed abruptly, another smaller God Star appearing in view. Though small, its light was purple, exuding an eerie coldness, seemingly possessing an ability to freeze consciousness.

Startled again, Negris retreated more vigorously, and the scene shifted once again.

With every retreat, Negris saw a different scene, each featuring a God Star as the centerpiece, surrounded by countless planes, occasionally adorned with cosmic creations.

By the third time, Negris realized what this was, calming his panic, instead observing these God Stars with interest: "Are these the star souls stacked in Ghost Stacks? Can an exotic ghost create such a stack by devouring a star soul?"

Unfortunately, he alone had entered, and no one could answer his questions. After retreating several more times, feeling increasingly bored, Negris steadied himself, sensed Anthony’s position, and darted towards it.

The next moment, Anthony felt something bump into him, then separated and formed Negris.

"Didn’t you pass through? Why did you return?" Anthony asked, puzzled.

"I didn’t pass through; I entered a stack. The star souls devoured by exotic ghosts are etched into the stacks in some strange way," Negris described what he had seen.

Everyone exchanged glances: "So amazing? I’ll go take a look."

Everyone slipped into the membrane, each witnessing different stack scenes. Upon emerging, all said incredulously: "Indeed, records of God Stars, very detailed. Why are these things recorded in the stacks? Are they remnants from devoured star souls?"
