"Why is he here? I thought it was an exclusive interview with the magazine?"

Janice walked in even though she was confused.

Benjamin saw her and said, "Janice."

Benjamin was unhappy after the incident last time.

After all, Janice had wronged him.

But they were at the TV station. He still had to maintain a working relationship with her in front of everyone.

Janice acknowledged him with a nod, only to find that all the seats were occupied, except for the one next to him.

She was baffled. But since everyone in the magazine was looking at her, she had no choice but to move over and sit down beside him.

The interview went very smoothly.

After that, everyone left. Janice trailed behind her colleagues and walked out but Benjamin caught up with her.

"Janice."

He stopped her.

Janice stopped and turned around. "How can I help you, Director Taylor?"

Benjamin walked towards her. He hesitated for a moment before saying, "The show will air next week, I wish you all the best."

Janice replied, "Thank you, Director Taylor."

Benjamin didn’t continue the conversation. He glanced at her and then left.

Janice continued to walk when her phone suddenly rang.

It was Christopher. She answered the call.

"Have you eaten?" He asked.

Janice replied, "Not yet. I’m going to eat now."

"Me too. Let’s go together."

She agreed. Then she put away her phone and continued walking. She met Denise as soon as she arrived at the entrance of the TV station.

Denise was standing at the door. She seemed to be waiting for someone. Janice had no intention to greet her. She walked past Denise and was about to

leave.

"Janice."

Denise called out.

Janice had no choice but to stop and turn her head towards Denise.

"Let’s have dinner together."

Knitting her eyebrows, Janice rejected. "Sorry, I’ve had an appointment with someone."

Denise’s expression was calm. "It’s with Chris, right? That’s great. I have something to discuss with him regarding work."

Janice thought Denise sounded ridiculous.

"How dare she think I would agree to that request?" Janice thought.

"Director Kelshore, we’re off work. It’s our private time now. Are you sure?"

Janice thought that she had made herself very clear.

Anyone in their right mind would understand and make the right decision.

However, Denise thought otherwise.

"Janice, the show is airing soon. Please understand."

Janice was silent. "Looks like she didn’t figure it out." She thought.

She had never seen such a person before.

"How dare she speak in such a haughty matter when she’s occupying other’s private time?" Janice thought.

She replied, "Since you said so, let’s go."

She continued walking. Denise stared at her figure and sneered, then she quickly trailed behind Janice.

Christopher had been waiting in the restaurant for a long time. When he saw Janice, he got up and pull out the chair. However, his face darkened when he saw Denise who was trailing behind Janice.

"Chris."

Denise took the initiative and greeted Christopher.

Christopher looked at Janice. He turned his gaze to Denise when he saw that Janice had already sat on the table. She didn’t seem to want to explain why Denise was here.

"What are you doing here?"

Christopher’s tone sounded very unhappy.

Denise looked a little embarrassed, but she still said calmly, "Chris, I have something to discuss with you. I happened to meet Janice at the TV station, so I came with her. Am I bothering your date?"

...

Christopher frowned. If it weren’t for Janice’s question last night, he might have thought that Janice agreed to bring Denise over.

But it was obviously impossible at this time.

He said, "I remember that Rob has always been in charge of the matters with the TV station. You can discuss with him."

Denise replied, "Of course I know that I can go to Rob for work matters. But Chris, this brand belongs to your mother after all. I think you better handle it by yourself."

Sure enough, when she mentioned his mom, Christopher relented. He said, "Okay, what’s the matter?"

Christopher took a seat.

Denise glanced at the empty seat next to Janice. Then she walked over and sat down. She retrieved a proposal from her bag and handed it over to Christopher.

"You know, I’m about to leave the station, so this show will be handed over to others to handle. Since I was the one handling the sponsors, I had to complete my work so I prepared a proposal. You can have a look at it first. I’ll ask someone to amend it if you have any comments."

Christopher didn’t reach out to take the proposal so Denise placed it on the table in front of him.

Janice glanced at her faintly.

It seemed that Denise had come prepared.

"But, what does she mean when she said that she was about to leave?"

Christopher didn’t even look at the proposal. He dismissed her, "Let’s talk about this later. I’m going to have dinner with Janice."

Denise looked a little embarrassed. She didn’t expect Christopher to ignore the proposal.

Moreover, he was obviously trying to chase her away.

Denise didn’t want to be embarrassed in front of Janice.

She continued, "Then let’s eat together. Since I have not eaten anything yet. Janice, you won’t object, won’t you?"

Denise gazed at Janice.

Janice knew that Denise wouldn’t leave them so easily. She said, "Of course not. Do join us, Director Kelshore."

Christopher was surprised when he heard Janice. He gave Janice a meaningful look,

but he was confused. "What is she trying to do?" He thought.

The waiter came forward to their table to ask for orders. Janice had never liked to order. Surprisingly, she took over the menu from the waiter.

"Darling, what would you like to eat?"

She suddenly called out sweetly to Christopher who was sitting opposite her.

Christopher was surprised when he heard her.

Even though Janice would call him Darling occasionally, she would only do that when they were alone.

But now they were in a public area, and she even did it in front of Denise.

Christopher could guess her intention without even using his brain. He played along, "I’ll eat anything you order."

As he spoke, he took the initiative to close the menu and put it aside on the table.

On the other hand, Janice was peeking at Christopher. She didn’t expect him to play along. She glanced at Denise’s awkward expression and snorted in her mind. "How dare she cause misunderstandings between me and Christopher? Great, I’ll take this opportunity to irk her."

She smilingly said to the waiter, "Give me a foie gras and a Caesar salad. A Matsusaka beef steak for him and some escargots for appetizers please, thank you."

She closed the menu and looked at Denise. She couldn’t help but smirked when she saw that Denise was still going through the menu.

Although Denise felt a little uncomfortable, these were nothing to her.

After all, she knew about their relationship a long time ago. Since she chose to eat with them, she was ready for their public display of affection.

...

However, she was irked by it.

At least, she could tell that Janice had done it on purpose.

She also closed the menu and told the waiter, "A fruit salad for me please, thank you."

After the waiter left, Janice deliberately said to Denise, "Director Kelshore, why did you order so little? Are you trying to save money for my hubby?"

She said casually but it was obvious that she was declaring her status to Denise.

Denise raised her eyebrows slightly and said, "I’m dieting recently. But Janice, I’m quite curious. Don’t you need to diet too?"

"Diet to keep my figure?" Janice acted dumb. "But I’m quite happy with my figure. Darling, do you think I need to diet?"

She looked at Christopher victoriously with childlike mischievous.

Christopher couldn’t help but chuckle. "Are you sure you need to diet? Don’t you need to put on weight instead?"

"Really? Do you think I need to put on more weight?"

She fluttered her eyelashes and looked at Denise. "Director Kelshore, my Hubby said that I need to put on more weight. What do you think?"

Denise’s face darkened, but she quickly calmed down and replied, "Everyone has different tastes. Maybe Chris prefers a voluptuous figure."

Janice pretended to stare at Christopher and said resentfully, "Even if you prefer me to have a voluptuous body, you shouldn’t say it in front of Director Kelshore. How embarrassing!"

Janice deliberately raised her pitch and her voice sounded a little coy and coquettish.

Christopher was charmed by her even though he knew that Janice was doing this on purpose to irk Denise. He gazed at Janice’s face and teased her lovingly, "Alright, I won’t say it in front of others. I’ll only say it to you in secret."

"That’s more like it," Janice replied coyly.

Their conversation insinuated that Denise was an outsider.

She was about to burst into a fit but she couldn’t refute them.

They were husband and wife and she was only an outsider.

She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists.

Janice glanced at her meaningfully. It did not occur to her that Denise would be so patient.

"It looks like I have to put on a better show."

Thinking of this, she glanced at the food on her plate. Then she used a fork and spoon to feed Christopher. She stopped when she reached his lips.

"Darling, I’ll feed you."

Christopher glanced at the food she fed. He played along and took a gulp.

"How is it? Is it delicious?" Janice hurriedly asked.

Christopher chewed while nodding his head. "It’s delicious."

Then, he repeated after her. He picked up some food from his plate and fed her as well.

The two of them fed each other one after another. They treated Denise as though she was invisible.

Although Denise tried not to look at them, she could hear them whispering sweet nothings to each other.

She felt that she could not stand it anymore.

However, after some thought, she decided to put up with it.

Thinking of this, she simply put down her utensils and looked at them. "I didn’t expect you two to be so affectionate."

Janice was feeding Christopher. When she heard Denise, she replied, "Of course, we’re newlyweds."

"Really?"

Denise tried her best to hold back her anger. But she was provoked when Janice mentioned the word newlyweds.
