Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2261: Dressing Up the Little Baby
Halloween arrived right on schedule.
Jasmine Yale and Butler Santana went to the park to watch the Halloween-themed event.
Festivals like this are very lively in the US, though she rarely participated in the past.
Seeing it today, it truly was bustling. There were so many people, the area was full of colorful lights, pumpkin lanterns were hanging everywhere, and various costumed little goblins were running around, occasionally playing pranks on tourists.
The crowd was very noisy, but Jasmine Yale didn’t feel like joining in, so she and Butler Santana sat in the park’s restaurant watching outside.
The lights outside were so bright it was like daytime.
Jasmine Yale ordered a red bean milk tea, sipping the warm tea while looking out the window.
The light flushed her small face, making her features appear even more delicate and gentle.
She was mesmerized by the view.
"It’s so lively, I really want to go and play." Jasmine Yale felt an itch in her heart.
"Miss Yale, you can’t. If you fancy anything, I can go and get it for you."
"Maybe buy some candy? If any kids come asking for candy, I can have some for them."
"Miss Yale is right, I’ll go buy some right away." Butler Santana was also in high spirits, and she went to the park’s night market to buy candy.
Outside, the little goblins were walking around, all dressed in strange costumes, some hopping around, others in groups of three or five.
Pumpkin lanterns of all kinds adorned the park, with the largest one placed right in the center, its bright light turning the night into day.
Halloween is one of the liveliest festivals in the US.
In such an open park, there were especially many people, and many performances required no admission fee.
Jasmine Yale was dazzled by the sights.
The children were having a blast, some playing hide and seek, others asking for candy, and some even dressing up as goblins to scare others.
The red bean milk tea was sweet, and each sip down the throat was full of sweetness.
Her heart felt warm as well.
Butler Santana quickly returned with a bag of candy.
Jasmine Yale grabbed two big handfuls, putting them in her pockets and bag.
Before she could finish grabbing the candy from the table, a child dressed as No-Face jumped in front of Jasmine Yale: "Trick or treat!"
The child’s voice was crisp, and he looked very adorable.
Jasmine Yale instantly grabbed a handful of candy for him and smiled.
The kid, with the candy in hand, ran off happily.
Butler Santana also smiled, "These foreign kids have such lively characters, they’re very fun."
"Aren’t they? When I was studying here, I never really went out for Halloween, and today I found out it’s quite fun."
"Next year, you can dress up the baby and bring them along too."
"Yes, yes, by this time next year, the baby will be born." Jasmine Yale’s face was full of affection and tenderness, "I should buy a pumpkin lantern for the baby to play with later."
From the park to the plaza, there were bright lights everywhere.
Halloween-themed music was playing non-stop, with a cheerful chime, very fun.
Jasmine Yale and Butler Santana strolled around the plaza for a while.
The evening breeze lifted her hair, providing an indescribable sense of ease and comfort.
Jasmine Yale bought a plush little pumpkin lantern to put in her bag, considering it a small gift for the baby.
Just as she was zipping up the bag, her phone rang.
It was Kade Yuvan.
"Assistant Yuvan."
"Jasmine... um... where are you?"
"Me? I’m at Oasis Plaza." Jasmine Yale noted the urgency in Kade Yuvan’s voice, "Where are you? It’s very noisy on your end."
The noise made it hard for her to hear his words, so she had to move to a quiet roadside.
