Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy
Chapter 3620: Decision
The Sky God looked at the other gods there. "What are your opinions on this?" the Sky God asked.
The Wine God could only shrug. "I never had any intention of being part of any war that may start again. I am happy to accept this offer of peace."
The Beast God nodded along. "I have wanted to actively stop any more wars from happening, so I am more than inclined to accept this chance to bring actual peace between our two kinds."
The Divination God did not answer. His silence alone was his answer for total abstinence from whatever may happen to the world.
Bladedance didn’t answer either, but only because she had been vocal enough about there being no more war that the Sky God was acutely aware of her stance on this matter.
Surprisingly, it was the Staff God who had some other thoughts.
"I never got a chance to be a part of the old war proper, so I was looking forward to the new one," she said as though she was somewhat disappointed. "I’m not against peace, but I’m not really for it either."
"If you want to fight, I can indulge you anytime you want," Ravenwing said with a bright smile on her face.
"No, thank you. I seek entertainment, not death."
The Sky God ignored the Staff God. "So, it appears our small group is all in on this. Of course, we are just 6 in a group of over 30 gods. I will have to alert the rest about this matter, and only then can we come to a proper decision."
Ravenwing thought for a moment and nodded. "How long do you think it will take you?"
"At least a few decades. I need to send the information to all gods, and then some time after that will I get messages back. Assuming I can do it soon enough, the earliest I can give you a notice regarding this will be a century at least."
Ravenwing raised her arms. "That’s fine. Delay it as long as you need. Our Holiness will be waiting for your answer regardless. I shall tell her that you will need 300 years to gather your gods and then send us a message."
The Sky God gave a few quick nods. "That sounds about right." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Ravenwing stood up from her seat. "This is excellent news then. I shall deliver it to my goddess as soon as I can."
The Sky God raised her eyebrows. "You wish to leave right away? You only just got here."
"I know how uncomfortable you are with me around, so the best I can be in your palace is a prisoner. I have no intention of being treated as a prisoner. And since I’ve already completed my task of convincing you all, I have no reason to stay. Unless your formations don’t work for some reason, I will return right away."
The Sky God did not argue. This was definitely for the best anyway.
She quickly had someone find out the situation of the teleportation formation leading back to the Sacred Lotus Dominion and was happy to hear that it could be activated right away if there was a need for that.
Considering there was a Celestial demon in their midst, it was most certainly needed.
Ravenwing started walking out of the main hall and the other gods followed her along. The Sky God moved alongside her, keeping pace.
Ravenwing looked at the Sky God with a strange expression. "Surely you don’t intend to come with me, do you?"
"Maybe. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the Sacred Lotus Dominion," the Sky God said.
Ravenwing chuckled. "You don’t trust me at all, do you?"
"Of course not."
The Divination God stepped forward. "If you’re okay with it, I will accompany her the rest of the way."
The Sky God was surprised to see the Divination God show initiative, but of the few there, he was the only one who could possibly replace her in this task. Even Bladedance wasn’t a good replacement, as her cultivation base was much worse than Ravenwing’s at the moment.
Not to mention, the chances that the two women would start a fight as soon as they could were non-zero as well. She definitely would not take those chances.
"I would appreciate it if you would do this, Divination God."
Ravenwing said nothing and walked out of the palace, going down the white steps to the teleportation formation below. As they arrived at the edge of the cliff, she suddenly stopped in her steps, her eyes slowly turning toward Alex.
Her expression changed the moment she saw him.
"Well, well, well. Isn’t this a surprise?" she said in a strange tone.
Ravenwing had her veil covering her face by now, but the single horn on her head stood out even through the veil. That bump alone told Alex all he needed to know as to who she was.
"I never expected to meet the Sun God around these parts," she said, her words open for everyone to hear.
Alex frowned, unsure how to react in this situation.
"Have we met before, senior?" he asked, trying to gauge her.
"No, we’ve never met before. But you have met our Holiness, haven’t you?" she asked.
Alex held some ideas as to what she was talking about, but he feigned ignorance in this instance. Even if the correct thing to do there was to give an affirmative reply, he surely wouldn’t do so when there were so many people surrounding him.
"This is strange though. I was told you were the Sun God. For a god, you are not nearly as strong as our Holiness," she said with a light chuckle.
"If that’s all you wanted to say, then please keep moving, Daoist Ravenwing," the Sky God said, urging her along.
"Sure. I do have one more thing to ask though," Ravenwing said before turning toward Alex. "You have something of ours, don’t you? When will you be returning it?"
