Dual Worlds: I Have a Doomsday World
Chapter 128: Kneel, Answer the Question
The six Moon Worshipers rushed back at top speed.
They took the stairs two or three at a time, making their way straight to the door of Wei Yue’s room.
All six of them pounded on the door at once.
Wei Yue, who was in the middle of making a new plaster statue, felt her hand twitch, chipping a piece off the sculpture.
Setting down her tools, Wei Yue went to the door and opened it.
The only people who could and dared enter this building were the Moon Worshipers.
According to official intelligence, a Tier Three Monster resided in this building. What the authorities didn’t know was that this Tier Three Aggregated Monster had already fallen into a deep slumber.
"How did you get back so fast? What about the Blood Moon Descent Object? Why didn’t you bring it back?"
Wei Yue asked with a frown, then a sudden realization dawned on her. "Did something unexpected happen?"
As a Moon Worshiper, Wei Yue knew full well that the authorities were bound to discover the anomaly sooner or later.
Even though Beining District was a fallen zone, they couldn’t necessarily escape the authorities’ notice.
Some of the six shook their heads, while others nodded.
"It was... ah, no..."
"Not an accident, exactly, but it’s very important."
"Sister Wei, we met a Blood Moon Envoy at Oasis Bench Park! He told us to bring you to him."
A Blood Moon Envoy!
Wei Yue’s pupils contracted violently.
’How is that possible?’
’How could a Blood Moon Envoy appear so soon?’
’The Blood Moon is still a long way from its true awakening.’
According to Wei Yue’s calculations, a pure believer like a Blood Moon Envoy should only be born after the Blood Moon had truly awakened and begun to constantly face the Earth. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"Are you sure it was a Blood Moon Envoy?"
Wei Yue didn’t believe their assessment in the slightest.
But all six of them nodded emphatically. "We’re absolutely sure. According to what you told us, Sister Wei, the Blood Moon Envoy is the being closest to the Blood Moon."
"A Blood Moon Envoy’s Spiritual Power exerts the most direct pressure on us. When we felt that power, it was as if we were looking upon the true form of the Blood Moon itself."
The six of them spoke with absolute conviction.
They didn’t believe for a second that such pure Spiritual Power could be faked.
Seeing this, Wei Yue was bewildered.
’But... how could this be?’
It had only been a little over ten days since the Blood Moon’s first awakening.
She had received its call the very moment the Blood Moon awakened, becoming one of its human Moon Worshipers.
She had schemed and planned extensively to become a Blood Moon Envoy.
With her power as a Moon Worshiper, she had gathered a large number of mutated animals, causing a Tier Three Aggregated Monster to manifest in Beining District at an unbelievable speed.
Then, during the Blood Moon’s second awakening, she guided the six people she had saved, allowing them to obtain a sliver of the Blood Moon’s essence and become Moon Worshipers.
Next, using the power of the six new Moon Worshipers, Wei Yue created two batches of Blood Moon Descent Objects.
She used the Blood Moon Descent Objects to draw the Blood Moon’s instinctual gaze, enveloping the area around Beining District in its whispers and turning it into a true fallen zone.
At the same time, she used the enveloping effect of the Blood Moon Descent Objects to push the Tier Three Aggregated Monster to evolve toward Tier Four.
If everything went according to plan, the birth of the Tier Four Monster would create a brand-new essence in the Beining District.
By using this essence, Wei Yue would finally be qualified to become a Blood Moon Envoy.
This would require at least thirty days.
And all her scheming was just to earn the *qualification* to become a Blood Moon Envoy!
"’How is this possible? How can this be...’" Wei Yue muttered to herself.
"Take me to the Blood Moon Envoy!"
Finally, Wei Yue made up her mind.
She had to go.
She absolutely had to see him!
If possible, Wei Yue wanted to know how that Blood Moon Envoy had managed it.
Watching this scene through his Spiritual Vision, Lin Qi let out a sigh of relief.
As long as this group of Moon Worshipers left the building, Lin Qi would have nothing to worry about.
Once they were out, he would have options—whether to continue the deception or to capture them by force and interrogate them for information.
’As for that Tier Three Monster?’
’Never mind conventional methods like nuclear weapons.’
’After all, Lin Qi was no longer the broke-ass he used to be.’
’He was sitting on a massive forty-eight million Credit Points, and while he couldn’t use the funds openly...’
’...it wouldn’t be difficult at all to procure high-level equipment through King Arthur or Guang Ling.’
’Could a Tier Three Monster really withstand S-Class Weapons?’
’If he used an S-Class Weapon to kill it, Lin Qi could even preserve a Tier Three Extraordinary Item from the remains.’
’That was its greatest value, an ace in the hole that could help him break through to become a Tier Three Wizard in a short amount of time.’
Monitoring them with his Spiritual Vision, he started walking back toward the park.
Lin Qi needed to maintain his image as a Blood Moon Envoy.
As a Blood Moon Envoy ordering his followers, he had to appear absolutely confident and unhurried.
’Tailing them? That would be beneath him.’
By the time the Moon Worshipers arrived, Lin Qi was already sitting back on the bench. He had temporarily stashed the remains of the moon-shaped plaster statue he’d just destroyed on the roof of a nearby building.
Once this was all over, those Extraordinary Materials would still be of great use.
Crafting a souped-up L-Class Potion, or even an A-Class Potion, would depend on these materials.
...
Her mind filled with endless questions, Wei Yue arrived at Oasis Bench Park with the six Moon Worshipers.
This was the place Wei Yue had personally chosen to create the Blood Moon Descent Objects.
In the distance, Wei Yue saw a man.
The man’s arms and legs gleamed with a metallic light, making him look like some kind of futuristic Warrior.
But even from a distance, the instant Wei Yue laid eyes on the man, a sense of submission welled up from the depths of her soul.
It was the pressure of his Spiritual Power.
The direct, oppressive feeling of a subordinate facing a superior who shared the same source of power.
Wei Yue’s inspiration was greater than that of the other six Moon Worshipers, so her perception of Lin Qi’s Spiritual Power was far more direct.
Perhaps the others might still harbor doubts about Lin Qi’s identity or question his commands.
But Wei Yue could not possibly defy any of Lin Qi’s commands.
Even if Lin Qi were to make the most outrageous request, she would be unable to resist on any level.
She was incapable of even forming a rebellious thought.
To Wei Yue, the Blood Moon was a sacrosanct Deity.
And Lin Qi, possessing the Spiritual Power of a Blood Moon Envoy, was like a high Pope to her—a master who directly conveyed the Blood Moon’s will.
As they drew near Lin Qi, the other six merely stared at him with fanatical gazes.
But Wei Yue dropped to her knees with a thud.
"Wei Yue, a Moon Worshiper, greets the Blood Moon Envoy!"
Her kneeling immediately prompted the other six to follow suit.
Lin Qi simply sat on the park bench, watching the seven Moon Worshipers kneeling before him.
Wei Yue knelt at the very front.
The remaining six knelt in a row behind her.
’I should probably say something,’ Lin Qi thought.
’You may rise?’
’At ease?’
’Or something else?’
After a moment’s thought, Lin Qi asked directly, "Tell me when and how you became a Moon Worshiper. This is very important."
Lin Qi decided to skip telling them to rise.
’Since they’re already kneeling, they can just stay that way and answer my question.’
