Dual Cultivation: I Summon Villainesses of Mythic Era
Chapter 137: Celestial Demon and the Demonic Dragoness with Black Flames
*Dao Era, Seed World, Central Volcano Zone*
The basaltic ground of the Seed World no longer simply vibrated; it was fracturing under the intensity of the clashing spiritual pressures.
Suddenly, BaiShe opened his eyelids. His silver pupils instantly turned a deep violet, while the sclera of his eyes became an absolute ink black.
"<Dragonification>" he pronounced in a voice that cracked the surrounding air.
A shockwave of primordial Qi exploded from his body. Under the eyes of the three Great Ancestors of the Azure Kingdom, golden and black scales appeared on his forearms and along his temples, while his silver hair turned jet black, absorbing the light of the volcanoes. At the same time, Long Huang unleashed her own true nature.
Her stature grew until she reached three meters tall, her musculature becoming so dense that the fabric of her gothic dress tore in places, revealing an armor of dark scales fused to her porcelain skin.
The three Demigods, although surprised by this display of power, did not retreat. The youngest of the three, a warrior in sparkling blue armor, stepped forward, brandishing a lance of azure energy while regenerating.
"You are nothing but arrogant fools from the Upper Realms who do not know the height of the sky!" he roared as he hurled his spear.
The lance split the space with a shrill whistle, aiming directly at BaiShe’s heart. However, the young master did not move. He waited until the tip of light was only a few centimeters from his chest before performing a millimeter-precise shift. The lance passed in a breath of heat, but BaiShe did not let it leave.
He threw a violent punch into its flank.
The sound of bone cracking was sharp as he plunged his hand in and ripped out a rib.
"Ahhhhhhh!" the warrior screamed before quickly retreating.
Yet the pain was short-lived. An azure glow instantly enveloped the wound. Under BaiShe’s cold gaze, the flesh began to bubble and knit itself back together at a prodigious speed. In less than a second, the bone returned under the skin and the wound closed, leaving only a scar that faded immediately.
"Your regeneration is fascinating," BaiShe observed in a monotone voice, adjusting his monocle which had miraculously remained intact. "However, constant cellular reconstruction will eventually exhaust your reserves of original Qi. This young scholar will test the limits of your endurance."
Simultaneously, Long Huang had thrown herself at the second Demigod, a colossus wielding two war axes. She activated her <Predatory Instinct Slash>. Her movements became blurry flashes of black and emerald. She dodged a powerful axe strike and leaped onto the expert’s back. Her fingers, ending in black nails sharp as divine blades, sank into the old man’s throat.
With a draconic bite, she tore off a massive chunk from the Demigod’s trapezius. The piece of flesh hung for a moment before she spat it out with contempt into the boiling lava. She then seized the azure Qi wing that was trying to materialize on her opponent’s back and tore it apart with raw strength inherited from the Origins.
The Demigod let out a muffled cry of agony, his muscles contracting as golden blood stained his clothes. The wound was atrocious, exposing the pulsating muscle fibers and the top of the scapula. But like his companion, regeneration began, though more slowly this time due to the black flames gnawing at the tissues.
Long Huang straightened up, licking a drop of golden blood from her upper lip. She let out a wild laugh, a guttural sound that betrayed her hunger for battle.
"Their essence tastes like fear and stagnation... BaiShe, don’t kill them too quickly, I want to hear them beg!" she exclaimed, her black eyes shining with a yandere glow.
The third Demigod, the old man with the frost beard, tried to create distance by launching pillars of azure ice. BaiShe, still imperturbable, directed his own weapons.
"<Art: Myriad Illusory Swords>"
Thousands of Qi blades appeared in the blood-red sky. They did not strike head-on, but traced unpredictable arcs to harass the vital points of the three ancestors. BaiShe disappeared from his position and reappeared right in front of the spear warrior. The latter tried to retreat, but BaiShe was already upon him. He used his claws to lacerate the Demigod’s torso, opening wide gashes that exposed the ribs.
Each time the flesh healed, BaiShe struck again, deeper. The scene became a vicious cycle of mutilation and forced healing. Golden blood flowed in cascades, evaporating on the burning basalt in a smell of iron and consumed divinity. The cries of the once-proud Demigods began to lose their dignity and turned into simple groans of animal terror.
"Why... why can’t we touch you?" stammered the leader of the ancestors, whose beard was now soiled with blood.
Indeed, Long Huang was slightly superior to them in the same realm, but for this young man in a lower realm, it should have been impossible... But this young man was the Celestial Demon. And his extreme level of Qi was comparable only to Origins, which easily made the difference against Demigods from the Lower Realms with mediocre foundations.
He seized the hand of the female Demigod who was trying to attack him from behind and, with a lateral squeeze, broke her fingers one by one. The phalanges shattered with sinister cracking sounds. He continued by driving his index finger into her shoulder, severing the tendons with precision. The woman collapsed, her arm hanging uselessly before regeneration began to work painfully.
As a result, the balance of the battle shifted decisively. The three experts of the Azure Kingdom finally realized that BaiShe was not an ordinary Overlord, but a monster that fed on their despair. Long Huang, for her part, continued her work of destruction. She grabbed a Demigod’s leg and broke it at the femur, observing with cruel curiosity as the bone protruded from the thigh before the flesh closed with a wet sucking sound.
The massacre continued in the Seed World, and the Demigods tasted the despair of having crossed paths with the Celestial Demon and the Demonic Dragoness with Black Flames.
