Days as a Spiritual Mentor in American Comics
Chapter 5727 - 4750: X Royal Family: Fierce Battle (17)
"Come! Let’s raise our glasses to congratulate the Fire God General! His strategy has allowed the Shi’ar Empire’s army to truly step onto the territories of the Milky Way. The Xi people will finally avenge their past humiliations, eradicating both Mutants and the Human race from the cosmos!"
In the brilliantly lit banquet hall, a tall figure stood before the guests. He raised his glass, and the generals and ministers below also stood up, toasting towards the dark-haired man.
"Your Majesty." The Fire God stepped forward with a glass in hand and said, "This successful operation is also thanks to your wise decision-making, Your Majesty. I toast to you as well! Long live the Twin Gods!"
"Long live the Twin Gods!" the Emperor at the head of the table downed a glass of wine and smashed it forcefully, saying through gritted teeth, "Once we successfully merge the humans and mutants, there will be no more Three Great Empires. The will of the Twin Gods will echo throughout the cosmos, and I will become the sole Emperor of the universe!"
"Fire God!" he called out again, "I specially appoint you to the position of Prince, letting you sit at the head of the Grand Council. You must ensure that the mutants and humans submit under the feet of the Twin Gods, listening to my will!"
The Fire God lowered his eyes to hide a faint trace of mockery that flashed in them, and said only, "As you wish, Your Majesty. But..."
"What? Do you still have any doubts? Do you think my rewards are insufficient?"
"Oh, that’s not it." The Fire God shook his head and said, "It’s just that if mutants and humans were easy to conquer, the other two Empires wouldn’t have made no progress. I’m simply still a bit worried about the battlefield, after all, those madmen are capable of anything."
"What?! Are you doubting the bravery of my Ferocious Feather Tribe?!" a minister stood up and said.
"Then why don’t I see you leading the troops into the Milky Way yourself?" the Fire God retorted unhurriedly, "Generals must avoid blind arrogance. Everyone knows the madmen of the Milky Way are hard to deal with, I just hope Your Majesty can dispatch more troops, leaving them with no chance of recovery."
The Emperor at the head of the table hesitated for a moment, and the Fire God noticed. He knew that D’Ken couldn’t send more troops because the Shi’ar Empire still needed to suppress the nobles internally, and the few merged nations were still not obedient, requiring troops to manage them.
Yet if it’s not difficult enough, how can it stall him? He was still waiting for the reinforcements that the devil mentioned. Even if he couldn’t bring down D’Ken today, he could plunge the Ferocious Feather Star into chaos, seizing the opportunity then.
Sure enough, an argument erupted inside the room. One party argued that deploying trusted aides might endanger the capital’s security, while another said the Proxima Centauri System also needed more patrols, refusing to send troops.
Meanwhile, the faction supporting the attack on the Milky Way came out in full force, emphasizing the evil and danger of the Human race, insisting not to give them a chance to make a comeback, advocating sending more troops to pursue the victory.
D’Ken was clearly indecisive, fearing harm to the homeland while desiring overseas interests. The Fire God was jumping around in the midst, inciting arguments, one moment scolding someone for disrespecting the Emperor, the next accusing another of disregarding the bigger picture. The entire banquet was turned upside down.
In the midst of the heated arguments, suddenly a soldier burst in, screaming, "Your Majesty, it’s bad, Your Majesty! Humans have invaded!!!"
"What?!!" Emperor D’Ken sprang to his feet, "What did you say?!"
Before he finished speaking, a figure rushed into the banquet hall, and everyone screamed upon seeing his face — it was Supreme Mage Stephen Strange!
The Fire God also widened his eyes slightly. Was this the reinforcement Mephisto mentioned? But then it made sense, these devils did deal with the Supreme Mage, didn’t they? Just he didn’t know what benefits Mephisto promised the Supreme Mage to get him to attack the Ferocious Feather Star’s capital.
"Supreme Mage!" D’Ken clearly was trying to maintain composure, "What business do you have on my Ferocious Feather Star?!"
The Supreme Mage said nothing, with a sweep of the Cloak, he flashed to D’Ken’s front. The Eye of Agomoto emitted a blinding light, and a terrifying energy wave swept out, blasting a hole directly through D’Ken’s chest.
The Fire God was secretly alarmed and slowly retreated behind a column. He certainly didn’t want to miss the perfect chance to finish him off, but he dared not approach the Supreme Mage, who knew if he was insane.
But such injuries were not enough to kill D’Ken. Realizing the Supreme Mage dared to strike, D’Ken dropped the pretense. He pressed a button on his arm armor, and in an instant, several huge Crystal statues appeared. The Fire God’s pupils contracted — he indeed had a backup plan!
The Supreme Mage neither dodged nor avoided, Magic energy lashed out like a long whip, instantly smashing the Crystal statues apart. But the energy seemed to be like a clay ox entering the sea, directly absorbed by the Crystal statues. D’Ken let out a crazed laugh and thrust his sword forward.
But suddenly, a Magnetic Storm swept across the Ferocious Feather Star, causing all Crystal statues to be affected, even struggling to move. D’Ken looked incredulously towards the door, only to be met by a laser beam splitting the banquet hall in half.
A tall figure appeared at the door, eyes glowing with a chilling red light. As he appeared, both D’Ken and the Fire God gasped in shock.
"Nimrod?!!"
No wonder they were surprised, this thing was supposed to be produced by the Mother Module to combat Mutants, how could it appear on Ferocious Feather Star?!
D’Ken and the Fire God simultaneously realized they had walked into a trap. The Supreme Mage directly extended his hand, thrusting it into D’Ken’s chest. With Magic energy gradually expanding, with a bang, the Emperor of the Shi’ar Empire ceased to exist.
The Fire God was both shocked and furious, looking at Mephisto stepping out from behind Nimrod. But Mephisto remained calm, smiling as he spoke, "Vulcan, or should I say Gabriel Summers?"
"You..." The Fire God’s expression turned completely to shock, "How do you know..."
"Gabriel." The tall Nimrod Robot suddenly spoke, but it was a voice the Fire God was all too familiar with. The Supreme Mage also turned his head, he recognized it, it was Laser Eye Scott’s voice.
"I’m really sorry," said Laser Eye, "I swear to you, the operation that left you forgotten back then was just an accident. Now Mutants have built their own kingdom, and our founding principle is that we will never abandon any Mutant."
"I know that incident caused you deep harm. But please, give us a chance to make amends. Everything we’ve done is just to bring you home. My brother, Gabriel."
Fire God hesitated for a moment. But then, flames erupted from all over his body as he flew into the air, his face distorted as he glared at Laser Eye, "Never abandon any Mutant?! I always believed you would come to rescue me, but you left me there to die!!!"
"No matter how eloquent you are, I will absolutely never go back with you. I will conquer this kingdom on my own and then destroy Earth!"
The Supreme Mage coughed twice, but Fire God did not care at all, clearly blinded by rage. Mephisto looked at Laser Eye, who clenched his fist, seeming reluctant. But when Fire God charged at him, he effortlessly caught him by the neck.
The massive energy exploding from Fire God’s body had no effect on him; this Nimrod body inherently suppressed all Mutants, almost any Mutant Ability could not affect him. Therefore, the flames quickly vanished, leaving only the terrified and helpless Gabriel.
"No... no..." he struggled desperately, like being provoked with some bad memories, "Let me go! Let me go..."
Laser Eye’s heart was full of sorrow, he gently let Fire God down, but the other seemed to have been completely driven mad, just continuously struggling desperately.
Laser Eye looked up at Mephisto. Mephisto came over, glanced at Fire God, and then said, "Alright, leave him to me."
"You promised not to use any violent means."
"No need," Mephisto said. He cleared his throat and whispered in Fire God’s ear, "If you don’t wake up, we’ll have someone else be the Emperor of the Shi’ar Empire."
Fire God’s consciousness gradually returned because he realized one thing: now the Emperor of the Shi’ar Empire was dead, and with his legal identity in Shi’ar Empire, he was the most likely candidate to ascend.
Power is the best tonic for anyone. For the emperor position of the near Three Great Empires, no one could refuse it. Especially since this is what Fire God always wanted.
However, he was also not stupid; the other party clearly had another agenda. He struggled to climb up from the ground, stared at Mephisto’s face, "What do you want?"
Mephisto smiled at him, "Earth."
Fire God was sent back to the Emperor’s bedroom, Laser Eye stayed to accompany him. The brothers had time to catch up, and afterward, they could handle the succession matters together.
Magneto and Mephisto came out. Magneto looked up and down at Mephisto, then said, "I didn’t expect you to have such a side, Doctor."
"Why can’t it be me who turned into that Doctor’s appearance?" Mephisto smiled at him.
"Although I haven’t dealt with Mephisto, your eyes are really too recognizable."
"That’s why I always wear glasses," Shiller sighed.
"What are you plotting with this whole affair?" Magneto asked, "The entire Shi’ar Empire invasion incident was orchestrated by you, wasn’t it?"
Shiller generously admitted it, he nodded and said, "Not long after I arrived, I approached Fire God. He wanted to usurp the throne and become Emperor, and I happened to need a war, we hit it off."
Magneto knew that although the factories did use a lot of Shi’ar Empire materials, how these materials constituted a Teleportation Portal and were opened smoothly didn’t seem like something the Shi’ar Empire people could do. There must have been inside and outside cooperation, and it was unexpected that this person was Shiller.
"I said, only a strong enough external enemy can unite Earth. How strong the enemy is determines how great you are."
"But this will kill a lot of people," Magneto said, "Although I’m not a merciful person who looks ahead and behind, this is clearly very dangerous for the entire Earth."
"Clearly, you don’t have a clear understanding of the strength of the people in the Central Universe," Shiller said, "With them, the Solar System won’t fall into chaos."
"’Them’? Besides you and Iron Man, who else?"
Shiller smiled silently.
"Stephen! You’re back!" Main Universe Iron Man stood up excitedly, inadvertently pulling the wound on his arm, inhaled sharply and sat back down, but still stared fervently at the figure walking into the room.
Strange turned back to close the door, looked Main Universe Iron Man up and down, then said, "How did you make yourself look like a dog that just rolled in the sewer?"
Everyone around froze. Captain America looked at Black Widow, Black Widow looked at Dr. Banner, Dr. Banner looked at Spider Man, Spider Man’s Spider Silk stuck to the ceiling and disappeared, everyone else also "whoosh whoosh whoosh" disappeared.
