Chapter 1543: Chapter 1544: Seeing the Doctor

She instinctively raised her hand, covering her mouth with the hand holding the handkerchief, and rushed to the side feeling a bit nauseous.

Seeing her sudden unusual behavior, Qin Feimo froze there for a moment, watching her dry heaving, slightly furrowing his brows, unclear about what discomfort she was experiencing.

After a bout of dry heaving, nothing came out. Only when the nausea gradually subsided did Feng Jinglei straighten up.

Just when she looked up again, her face was even paler than before, and her anxiety was growing.

"What’s wrong with you?"

Qin Feimo walked over, his abrupt voice making Feng Jinglei feel guilty, and her expression changed.

Qin Feimo slightly furrowed his brows, not understanding the momentary guilt in her eyes, or perhaps he saw it wrong?

"I, I’m fine."

"Are you sure?"

She lowered her head, nodded, "Hmm."

Glancing at her face, which was even paler than before, Qin Feimo’s expression sank and he pulled her to walk out of the cemetery.

Feng Jinglei thought they were going back to the Commander Residence, until she realized the route was a bit off, so she turned to ask him in the driver’s seat.

"Aren’t we going home?"

Qin Feimo didn’t turn his head, his heart was filled with concern for her.

"We’re going to the hospital." 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Hearing this, Feng Jinglei was stunned, staring blankly at the man’s exquisite profile.

Could it be that he was going to take her to see the doctor?

With this thought, she panicked a little, "No need, I’m really fine, no need to see a doctor!"

As soon as she finished speaking, the car stopped.

Qin Feimo turned his head, "We’ve already arrived, let’s go have a look."

After saying that, he got out of the car, walked around the front, and opened the passenger door.

Seeing the man standing at the car door waiting for her to get out, Feng Jinglei was in even more of a panic.

"I really don’t need to see a doctor."

Qin Feimo furrowed his brows, slightly dissatisfied with her stubbornness.

"I’ve said it, we are here now, just go check it out."

"I’ve said I don’t need to see a doctor!" Perhaps it was anxiety or something, her voice suddenly raised a few notches, causing Qin Feimo to furrow his brows even deeper.

What on earth was wrong with her? Clearly uncomfortable, why wouldn’t she see a doctor?

Maybe realizing her reaction was too abnormal, Feng Jinglei calmed down and hastily explained, "I, what I mean is, I know I’m fine, so I don’t need to see a doctor."

Qin Feimo didn’t speak again, just stared intensely at her, trying to detect something from the panic in her eyes.

"Your face doesn’t look good, that’s not a reason to not see a doctor."

Feng Jinglei was taken aback, she didn’t really know what she looked like right now, but until she had an answer to that question in her heart, she absolutely didn’t want to see a doctor with him, what if... she really was pregnant?

Calming her flustered heart, she found a convincing reason, "I’ve been afraid of needles since I was a child, so I really reject visiting the doctor."

Qin Feimo paused for two seconds, this reasoning was justifiable.

Someone who’s afraid of needles would surely resist seeing a doctor.

"It’s just a doctor’s visit, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get a shot, let’s go."

He was about to reach out to pull her out of the car, but Feng Jinglei instinctively pulled back on the passenger seat, "Really, I don’t need it, I know what’s wrong with me!"

Hearing this, he paused, "You know?"

She nodded with guilt and panic, "Hmm, it should be the weather turning cold, making my stomach a bit uncomfortable."

Qin Feimo furrowed his brows, half doubting her words.

But seeing her stubborn refusal to get out of the car, he couldn’t force her, opting instead to have the family doctor come and have a look at her.
