Chapter 422: Chapter 421

Mia Sutton stood there for several seconds, blinking her eyes, glancing at the fruits over there, and then at the ones she was holding, dazed for a long time.

This... why is the show crew not playing by the rules?

[Mia is stunned, she looks so cute like this.]

[Her eyes are as round as doorknobs.]

Mia was stunned for a moment, just as everyone was about to call them to sit, suddenly two people ran out of the kitchen, or more precisely, two ladies.

When they saw Mia and Jensen Sterling standing there, they paused for a moment: "Ms. Sutton, Mr. Sterling, are you here to find food too?"

Mia looked at them and then slowly nodded her head.

Renee Lancaster immediately smiled and said to her, "We are too. You’ve come at just the right time, we’re about to eat."

Mia: What she means by coming to find food seems to be... not the same as what they mean by finding food.

"Is it ready?" Keira Hughes lifted her eyes and asked curiously.

"I think it’s almost ready to eat," Renee Lancaster said, thinking about the rice she had just seen.

As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Mia saw the eyes of everyone sitting on the sofa light up in an instant.

It’s no exaggeration to say, they looked like hungry wolves seeing food, their eyes gleaming with green.

"Really can eat now?" Evan Spencer still asked with a hint of hesitation.

"Almost, although we don’t have any dishes, we have rice, so we won’t go hungry, we can make do with it."

Everyone present was an entertainer, usually busy with activities and filming, with no time to cook by themselves. If not eating on set, they’d have assistants order takeaway.

None of this group knows how to cook, right?!

There was simply no one.

Before Mia came, a few gentlemen and ladies had already tried at their residence.

Almost everything was a culinary disaster, the kitchen was a mess.

There was no way around it, so they gathered at Natalie Jennings’s place.

After all, Natalie was the oldest among them, she should know a bit more.

Who would have expected that upon arrival, there was nothing but a pile of raw vegetables and rice.

In the end, with everyone working together, they managed to get a bit of food done, but it ended up overcooked.

"..."

When Mia first came in, two people in the kitchen were checking if the rice was done.

"Is it cooked?"

"Well... it kind of doesn’t look like rice," one person hesitated to say.

"It should be about right; as long as it’s edible, let’s go tell them we can eat now."

And that’s how we ended up here.

A few minutes later...

A group of people surrounded the table, looking at what was in front of them, a person’s mouth twitched slightly, with a hesitant expression, pointing at what was in front of them: "Is this... really edible?"

Natalie Jennings held a spoon and slowly brought a scoop of rice to her mouth.

Everyone’s eyes were fixed on her face, not blinking, the air suddenly became much quieter.

"How is it?"

Natalie Jennings’s chewing stopped abruptly after two seconds, her expression was inscrutable, indescribable.

The next second, the bowl disappeared from in front of her.

"It’s not cooked," Natalie Jennings said with a practically expressionless face.

...

Everyone around the dining table was suddenly lifeless, like eggplants hit by frost.

"Well, no rice, guess we’ll go hungry."

Mia Sutton sat nearby, glanced sideways at Jensen Sterling.

Then she turned back and said to everyone, "How about... I give it a try?"

In an instant, everyone’s gaze swept towards her.

"You know how to cook?"

It’s no wonder they didn’t know. When they recorded the first episode, they all recorded their own parts, and hadn’t really watched them afterward, so naturally, they didn’t know Mia could cook.

Mia nodded: "Don’t worry, it’s edible."

"We have no ingredients, just save us a bit of food and that’ll be fine."

Natalie Jennings’s eyes instantly brightened: "As long as there’s food, don’t just save us a bit, you can eat as much as you want, just leave us some."

Mia smiled and replied okay, then rolled up her sleeves and headed to the kitchen.

The crowd curiously asked Jensen Sterling, "Mr. Sterling, is the food Mia makes delicious?"

Jensen Sterling said nothing, smiled and squinted his eyes, then stood up: "I’ll help." With that, he followed Mia into the kitchen.

Everyone looked at each other, then all of them showed up at the kitchen door at once.

Every one of their eyes was wide open.
