While Skyler Jones was showering in the bathroom, Christine Quinn lay with her eyes open, staring at the ceiling.

Upon hearing the soft sound of the door closing, Christine Quinn suddenly sat up from the bed.

Staring at the already closed door, Christine Quinn was stunned for a long time.

Suddenly, Christine Quinn put on a nightgown, got out of bed, and opened the door to look for him.

After asking a servant and learning he was in the study, she immediately headed there.

The study door was slightly ajar, allowing her to see him leaning back in the chair with his eyes closed, looking exhausted.

Her heart ached because, in her memory, she had never seen him so tired.

After all, after weathering such major storms in the past, we never gave up on each other, so now we should choose to be understanding and cherish each other, right?

I’m making a trip to Y City to handle the relocation of the company’s headquarters to New York. It might take a few days, or it could take over a month. During this time, I hope we can both think clearly about how we want to move forward together in the future—Oversky."

After reading the note, Christine Quinn quickly changed her clothes, freshened up, and rushed downstairs.

Everybody else had not yet woken up in the early morning, and only the servants were busy tidying up the villa.

Christine Quinn urgently asked the butler and learned that Skyler Jones had already left for New York the previous night.

Upon learning that Skyler Jones had returned to Y City, Christine Quinn returned to her room in a daze.

She picked up the note again and glanced at it.
