"What do you think?" He insisted, she resisted, and eventually, they both ended up scarred.

"Let me see..."

Christine Quinn tightly wrapped herself in the blanket, still angry. "I don’t want you to get involved, you jerk."

"Fine, then take a nap, and I’ll stay by your side, okay?"

"I’m not sleeping. Get out; I need to change clothes." She hadn’t forgotten that while they were having their moment earlier, someone seemed to knock on the door, and it sounded like Mrs. Geoffrey.

Mrs. Geoffrey must be worried about the quarrel between the two brothers and came to ask about it, so she needed to meet Mrs. Geoffrey.

"We’re married, do we really need to avoid each other while changing?"

"I don’t want someone to suddenly go wild again!"

Skyler Jones chuckled, "Alright, I’ll wait for you outside the door."

"Wait." Christine suddenly called out to Skyler’s departing figure, "You still haven’t told me the reason for your argument with Howard Geoffrey!"

"It’s nothing, I’ve never gotten along with him."

After coldly finishing this sentence, Skyler left the room.

Christine got dressed and opened the door, seeing Skyler outside.

Though Christine was still unhappy about what had just happened, she couldn’t bring herself to be really angry with Skyler, so she said irritably, "Promise me there won’t be a next time."

Skyler gently replied, "Okay," and then reached out to hold Christine.

The couple went down to the first floor, not expecting Mrs. Geoffrey and the couple of Howard Geoffrey sitting in the hall waiting for them.

Christine affectionately called out, "Mom."

Mrs. Geoffrey gestured for Skyler and Christine to sit beside her, then said, "Why don’t you two brothers just talk it out? You’re both adults but you’re fighting at home, how does that look? Fortunately, the kids didn’t see it. What would they think if they did?"

"Yeah, Howard, why did you and brother-in-law get into a fight?" Rebecca Quentin complained, looking at Howard.

Howard remained silent, his expression calm.

Christine also spoke, "If there’s a rift, just speak up... Skyler, you go ahead."

Skyler’s expression was as cold and grim as his brother’s, unwilling to speak either.

Mrs. Geoffrey sighed, worry written all over her face.

Christine, impatient by nature, frowned and said, "Skyler, I heard from the servants that you asked Howard to go to the study. What issue would make you fight with Howard?"

Christine didn’t know, as soon as she said this, Skyler’s expression darkened even more.

"Really, can’t you just talk things through? Why make the relationship between you two brothers so tense?" Christine continued.

No one expected that at this moment, Skyler coldly stood from the sofa and walked straight toward the front door.

Christine quickly got up to follow, "Hey, Skyler..."

Without looking back, Skyler walked straight out of the hall.

Rebecca and Mrs. Geoffrey looked at each other in confusion as Skyler suddenly left, and Howard remained indifferent, expressionless.

Christine chased after Skyler outside, reaching out to stop him.

She frowned and said, "What’s going on with you? When we came to New York, you promised me you’d get along with Mom and Howard. You even plan to move the ’Oversky’ headquarters to New York, yet now you’re inexplicably sulking with Howard without explaining anything. You know, this really worries us."

Skyler narrowed his eyes slightly, an emotionless tone, "Sulking with Howard?"

"Of course... You’ve always been the one who doesn’t want to make up with Mom and Howard. It’s impossible for Howard to sulk with you."

Skyler suddenly let out a cold laugh.

"What are you laughing at?"

Skyler didn’t answer, just stared at Christine.

Christine took a deep breath and said, "Stop arguing with Howard in the future... you both love each other, why make Mom sad?"

"Christine Quinn..."

Never expecting Skyler to call her by her full name, Christine was stunned for a second, "Yes?"

"You trust Howard more than you trust me, don’t you?"

Christine’s body froze, but before she could speak, Skyler had already turned away, leaving coldly.

Christine stood there in a daze, and after Skyler’s tall figure had disappeared into the distance, she finally came back to her senses, recalling what Skyler had just said.

A moment later, Christine watched as Skyler drove away from Jones’ Mansion...

When Christine turned back, she ran into the worried faces of Rebecca and Mrs. Geoffrey.

"How did it go? Why did Skyler leave?" Mrs. Geoffrey asked anxiously.

To reassure Mrs. Geoffrey, Christine just smiled faintly, "He’s fine, said he’s going to the office."
